"Call to Meal" individual options

I'm playing right now and realized how useful it would be to have different call to meal options other than just everyone.

For example: the kids have friends over and are playing in the living room. They're not hungry and I don't want to dismiss their interactions. The dad has two friends over and I'd like the 3 of them to sit down and eat together. It would be great to click on individual Sims and call just them to a meal.

I agree, would also like to be able to serve my guests also instead of them going to grab a plate. Would make diner parties better if everyone was sat at the table and i served the plates of food

Perhaps they could code it so that ones with only a certain level of hunger would respond rather than everyone? I have no idea. It's good that there is call to meal to get everyone together, but maybe not so much for the ones who aren't hungry and are doing other things.

You stole my words! Give 'em back! (Seriously, I was going to suggest the same thing until I saw your reply.) There's still the problem of the cook picking up a serving if he/she is hungry and setting it down to get a second if they use call to meal.

Yes. I faced that today. I want to ask only my date to eat.

Yes. That is an issue. It happens in 2 too. I think that's where serve comes in. I think I saw in another thread that they will serve to how many they "read" as hungry by the game code. So maybe we need serve back

This is an awesome idea! What if it was like the chess table's 'Play With...' interaction, where 'Eat With..." brings up a window of who is on the lot, and you can select the ones you want?

    That would be so perfect.
