VisaDebit not accepted?

I went to buy a couple games on Origin and it said "it couldn't verify my card". They were games that I've been wanting for a long time and I'm upset that it didn't work. So I'm just wondering if Origin even accepts VisaDebit or not. When I put my card number in it recognized it as a Visa card, so I thought it would work fine. Any thoughts?

No. It's a debit card that can also count as a visa card. It's supposed to work as a credit card online

The only things I can think of...

There isn't enough to cover the pre-auth/hold and the purchase price.
Funds deposited into the account haven't yet cleared and aren't available.
Card was compromised and the bank has hot-carded it.
The number, exp. date or cvv number is entered incorrectly.
The address entered on the site doesn't match the address used for the card.
