Would it be a good idea if they brought back food shopping & items ?

«1
I think i would like it to be brought back just to make it more real and that fact everyone likes buying new things
and for people who want to play sims like real life like going food shopping every week and buying the odd new thing for there house would be nice
and giving that sims another freedom to do that instead of going to the cooker and selecting a meal and paying for it then but i know its faster to do that but i would be nicer if we have the option.

The shopping I really miss is clothes shopping a la Sims 2. I enjoyed taking them out to buy new clothes. Having everything at my fingertips, free, seems like cheating. Actually, so does a bottomless refrigerator. So yes, I'd like food shopping back as well, along with grocery delivery if you don't feel like going out.

I agree there should be a option weather to 'go' shopping or order it online or by phone

I'd like to see food shopping added back as an option, with different ways of doing it, none of them rabbitholes. We could have big supermarkets, and small corner stores, and farmer's markets, and little farm stands at the end of a rural laneway, plus a delivery service. But I think it would be good for players to have the option of playing "fast" and buying from the fridge if they prefer to play that way and focus on other things in the game.

This is what I'd like too, along with the possibility for our Sims to own/run these businesses.

I like this idea. I think it would be great if the shops sold things our Sims can't get from build/buy mode. It would make going shopping more interesting. And hopefully our business savvy Sims could negotiate on prices!

Yes, yes...a zillion times yes. I miss it from ts2...except expand that and pick the ingredients you want from certain sections. Like for produce...you gotta go to the produce object, and maybe have different stands for veggies, and fruits. Get meat from a butcher counter or something similar. Ect.

OMG yes I loved shopping for ingredients I didn't have at the house because it was like doing something different especially when you grow ingredients too to add to meals......awwwww those were the good ol days lol.

Yes it would be a great idea :) I really hated the shopping in The Sims 3, there was nothing worse than going to a shop and then just disappearing whilst "supposedly" your Sim was shopping. I loved The Sims 2 shopping, buying and ordering shopping is greatly missed by me and many other Simmers.
Hopefully sometime soon it will make a comeback?

As @libra_style said, those were the good old days and I miss them with a passion!

It would be even better if they made a Christmas pack like ts2 but even better and add shopping on to it

Yep, I'd like shopping for food and clothing. I also would like an option that means sims can't prepare food if they do not have the correct ingredients.

I wouldn't mind have the grocer shopping as long as it is an option. I like the way it is in Sims 4; just going to fridge and paying then. It's much faster than having to run to the store all the time.

I'd love shopping for whatever thing, bet it clothes, foods, books, items etc.

It will finally give my sim an excuse to leave the house.
My sims haven't left their homes in sim weeks.

I would love to have a little Sim bookshop in the game! It could have a little cafe, for the bookworms who just can't wait until they get home to read their new book.

I like grocery shopping for my sim. I would also like to see the kitchen appliances "dishwashers, trashcompactors" brought back to the game.

I'm super excited to have clothes shopping back. I think with the new way that unlockables work, clothes shopping could turn out to be pretty neat, since every household won't necessarily have the same clothes. I also think that once a travel/vacation EP comes back, different destinations could have different styles of clothes.

I don't mind if they bring back food shopping, as long as there's an alternative for those of us that don't like it. I would personally never take my Sims food shopping. I'd like it if you could buy higher quality foods from somewhere. Maybe if you could order them online and have them delivered.

As for other items, I'd love a DVD store or maybe even rentals. Ooh, or a place where Sims could shop for high quality electronics, like Best Buy! I'd be all in for shopping like that.

    It should be optional though.
Not everyone wants to be bothered by shopping for every single item.
