    A patch and maintenance at the same time can make you extra-cautious.

    Swift SimGuru response, however, has assured us the Gallery temporarily being offline was not patch related.

    Continue to enjoy this marvellous feature.

      At least one person in the Tech Forum says that the Gallery worked fine after the patch came out earlier today. That it's down this evening seems to be coincidental.

      Lots of people are reporting the gallery is broken since the patch MW.

      The Gallery is a feature I adore. I am glad it is back online again.

      Don't know if its patch related or not, I wish it worked though. I can't even create a new family because it hangs on trying to grab a photo for the gallery ...which isn't working so the game just sits on that screen just before you actually get to play. Its been hung there now for about 20 minutes.

      The gallery wasn't working before the patch actually. I patched thinking it'd fix my issue with gallery and not being able to create new characters because it can't connect to the gallery but... no dice.

      I patched too, and I can't connect to the Online Feature. Is that what you are experiencing also?

      Have you restarted your computer since the patch? Just a thought since your windows button isn't working. I do know that some on twitter said that origin has been spotty today maybe because of everyone on getting the patch and such. Restarting might help reset everything. Just a thought. :)

      I've said this already elsewhere but it should be repeated....

      After the last patch, I could not connect to the gallery. I checked my firewall settings, they had been changed. I put them back to where they should be and I was able to connect. If you have windows, there should be two check boxes. Check them both. Then try to connect again.

      I don't use the gallery, being online causes nothing but problems in my game so I didn't even know there was this problem before and the firewall thing.

      It might not fix it but just check anyways just in case.

      Sounds like were going to need an emergency patch to fix the gallery issue.

      MAN! That's why I was going into my game, to check out the gallery. I hope they get this fixed! :(

      I had the same problem. However, it appears to me the gallery is fixed. It may have been maintenance. Hope it works out for you guys!

      Haven't opened my game this week, I didn't know there was a new patch. Thanks for the heads up, I hope they fix this issue asap.

      Drats! I know with the last patch, it was one of them getting unchecked that broke the connection.

      Oh well, I was hoping it was something simple like that. Sorry guys.

      I am already patched and not having any problems what so ever.

      I can't connect to the Gallery, but I don't care though.

      @LokiSimsies Yep, there are 2 boxes to check, and both of mine are.

      Edit: Ohhh wait, no the second box wasn't checked. I'm going to try it now.

      I cannot connect to the Gallery and when the game freezes, the Windows Key no longer works. More than the game has been compromised.

      Do not patch.
