TS2 tech problem: flashing textures (Solved)

(Solved, Please dont bump) i have a graphics issue on TS2 which im guessing the reason why is that the game is a very old game and my pc is too advanced. I have Ultimate Collection Max settings (except for shadows, cause of a graphics issue) works great no lag whatsoever but sometimes the walls for a second when i rotate the camera will briefly disappear, happened on my old TS2 copy before i installed Ultimate Collection too. Any ideas to solve this like any Direct X commandlines? Heard theres one called dx9 but i dont exactly know where to enter them in Origin or in the files. Also the Shadows issue caused me to keep Shadows at Medium cause when the Sims are inside there would be black boxes under then, any ideas to solve these issues? i doubt its a graphics issue more like a compatibility issue.

Do you perhaps have any mods that could conflict with each other or the game? Like the mod you use goes up to Nightlife in terms of support and you have Apartment Life as the last installed EP.

Nope no Mods in TS2, I don't even have a clue how to get mods in TS2.

    Hi, Cale :)

I've heard of the issue with that but I don't remember where I read it. Do you have Win8? Might search with that... there's got to be some here,m too. There was a lot of posts when it was released on Origin. :)

The black shadow inside can't be fixed- at least I haven't seen anything yet.

Here is something that might help, it helped me.

Oh, yes- it should but the game is old and it probably doesn't recognize your card. EA hasn't updated any of the game info- that's why the program does, makes the game recognize your card at high settings. :)

Of course, now I think to see if it works with Win8.

In your GraphicRules.sgr file, find "boolProp simShadows true" and change "true" to "false." That is what I did to fix the black square shadows issue. Your other issue, on the other hand, I can't help you with since I haven't experienced it myself.
