This entire game needs a do-over. Sorry, that's my honest opinion. There's just too many things missing and too many glitches, bugs, too tiny worlds, and "features" reminiscent of TS1... too many cons vs. pros. it would be fine if it didn't have a '4' after 'The Sims'.
But no, I still don't mind a few RPG elements. *ducks for cover from both sides of the argument* haha

Maybe not a complete do over. I really like the concept of the game and I fully believe they can build on it. So maybe just a revamp? Revisit? I would be happier if it didn't have genetics issues and aspiration issues. In fact, this was the first time in a Sims game I didn't feel rushed to try to age my Sims up. I wanted to experience EVERYTHING! But then people started reporting bugs that wouldn't let them finish collections, something went weird with the chef career, and then genetics. It's just plain broken right now. The list of things wrong with the game seems to be growing exponentially. If it's going to be best world ever then first, and foremost, it needs to be a working world. That's just that.

I think they need to leave the locked content in the base game but then don't put it in an expansion pack and it should never make a return. Or at least give us the option to unlock it and have it permanently unlocked per save not per house. That's just annoying. We shouldn't have to cheat or download mods for this to be available. For me, it takes away from game play, immersion, and fun.

I don't want this game to be exactly like the Sims 3 with a Sims 4 mask on it. But there are some key elements that are missing from this game. Like dating, dancing, and romantic interactions, more of a reaction to Sims birthdays and deaths, and the ability to customize my world.

The unlockables should just be tied to your origin account, I do not want to unlock items again for every household, but if they are unlocked once you achieve it and all of your saves/new games have them unlocked that's okay

I like the closed world, it makes the game run smoother. However I do wish there were a few more lots to visit. It gets boring going to the gym or park for a date.A movie theater, restaurant would be nice.Would love if the worlds had a grocery store as well.I'm in the minority when I say I don't mind the loading screens at all.It makes my game run better.

I would also like to be able to create sims within the world.Instead of having to keep going to the main menu.

I don't think making the game Open-World is possible anymore. It's something that's worked into the game's core system, if they could change it, it would probably break a BUNCH of things. If it's possible to make Neighborhoods open that would be awesome if we could just get that. It would be nice if worlds could be a bigger, like opening up the unplayable areas for us to make it 15-20 lots per neighborhood.

I feel compelled to respond because I have played the game so many hours. I was at first quite annoyed at the feeling of isolation and uselessness I felt within the first sixty hours of gameplay. Everything was so different.

But I have to admit that while some of the suggestions here are great, others will change the core of the game which keeps me up playing late overnight like I did with the first Sims game. The Sims 4 as is (bugs and all), is a game I allow to run on my pc for days at a time. And after the first annoying batch of crashes, I have been crash free for almost a whole month, if not more. The first crashes were inexplicable and more than likely patch related. They made me want a plumming refund. With the crashes cured, The Sims 4 stands on its own and is NOT any of its predecessors. And I LIKE that.

I like that my Sims are forced out of their respective abodes to socialize with others. I like that I have to make up my mind about where I'm going and that I probably need to have a clear purpose for doing so. I like having goals and achievements to aspire to (although with current glitches, some seem quite impossible to accomplish without betraying the intent of the game).

I really don't care about the annoying load screens since my game runs more smoothly than it has in many years with this franchise (Sims 3 became a nightmare and I would completely avoid some expansions, worlds and other aspects of the game for sheer playability). I do agree that the white loading screen might be a bad choice for anyone with a headache, but I also tend to be inclined to lie down and rest and get healed when I have a migraine rather than sit up trying to play the Sims.

I have even found a way to enjoy gardening which I initially found to be rather pointless if my Sims cannot eat or cook with their yummy produce. But still, I have some gardening Sims who earn quite a great living this way. I truly hope it doesn't go the way of the Sims 3 once weather and greenhouses were introduced. Gardening became nearly impossible and wreaked havoc on my towns and my love of gardening with all of the workarounds I had to do to make a greenhouse with a functioning door. But if I was going to ask for anything to complement the wonderful gardening experience, I would want a nice market venue where I could buy and sell exotic wares and compete with neighbors for the best produce prizes.

In my world as is, I would love the ability to buy real meals at the current appropriate venues. I do not like that my Sims can only order chips at the bars and lounges and that I have to avoid the interaction almost altogether because of the socialization aspect and the fact that the bartenders will work a whole shift and change shifts without so much as acknowledging a chip or drink order.

I would love for my Sims to actually be able to read a book all the way through in a reasonable amount of time. And let the library actually be a true resource and gem for knowledge and artifacts that cannot be found by searching the web at home. Give my towns a backstory, some old newspapers and some microfiche. Host a dance or other type of community class on Tuesdays or Thursdays that I can attend and run into my neighbors and their children. And let the neighbors actually have children. I love Bob and Eliza Pancakes or whatever their names are - but they have no lives outside of their lives revolving around the lives of my Sims. That's very plummy. And use the gym for that purpose also (community classes and or get-togethers). Host Zumba or some other faddish class. And speaking of children, let there be at least one family-friendly venue where families can meet together and kids can make new friends besides the park. How about a community or recreation center for games, information, formal dances, and maybe even town hall meetings (in the event of natural disasters)? Or let there be a wedding room, venue, or even a justice of the peace.

Additionally, the museums are quite boring. Why can't my Sims really sell their paintings and crafts to the museum and host gallery events? Why can't they have a cheese and wine tasting during a gala or ball fundraiser event? Our museums here at home are interesting for the art that they offer, but in the game, they become quite stagnant with no rotating works of art. Once you've seen what's there, there really is no reason to return. Why not let the museum complement the newly restructured library and host some of my towns' greatest historical artifacts and achievements? Let there be quests within the venues.

I would spend more time enriching what is already there in the game before I would add anything else. Please, please, please take away nothing but glitches and bugs, and for pete's sake, please enrich what is already there. That is all.

    Thanks.

I've been keeping a list of ideas on my phone.
It's not world specific persay, but it would defiantly help flesh things out a bit.

    Sims 4 Wishlist:

    CAS / Gallery
    - official EA account with EVERY character, room, & building used in promotional art and videos available to download.
    - in world management, a way to see if a sim is currently employed, in turn allow us to see where they are employed when editing in the Manage World menu. When editing my population, I want to know who the pizza guy is so I don't delete him.

    Gameplay Options:
    - checkbox: disable career based room/item restrictions
    - checkbox: disable random townie spawning
    - checkbox: only add townies from your bin
    - checkbox: disable all / each individual occult state
    - skill: unbreakable handiness option
    - item: bed assignment
    - item: door locking
    - Interaction: woohoo in the shower
    (Pool options once added)
    - interaction: chicken fight pool game
    - interaction: dunking in pool
    - interaction: pool noodle sword fights
    - interaction: race to other end of pool

    Venues
    - cemeteries with the ability to add no playable gravestones/ghosts to the lot build
    - non religious wedding chapel lot designation
    - retail (crafted items, buy mode items, clothing w/ customizable manaquines & wall / standing clothing racks we can shop from)
    - grocery store (with shelving and displays we customize/stock that can be shopped from. non-rabbit hole)

    - restaurants (multiple themes. non-rabbit hole)
    - comic book shop (with shelving and displays we customize/stock that can be shopped from. non-rabbit hole)
    - arcade (where EVERY game type awards prize tickets for items like in S3: Seasons. This could be a new collectable)
    - Movie theater (non-rabbit hole)
    - Farmers market (with manable stands to buy snd sell our gardening produce)
    - Amusement parks (with items like the roller coaster set, gondola set, and carousel. I'd love to see a Ferris wheel and waterslide building set)

    Build Mode
    - Basements
    - Split level foundations (ie. shed & house)
    - buydebug tomb building tools (I liked building haunted houses in sims 3)

    Emotions
    - fear
    - jealousy
    - guilt
    - surprise

    Occult States
    - zombies (that attack sims, but mostly eat trash and don't destroy your garden. Playable infected sims could get a temporary moodlet and could attack other sims. Native option to disable zombies would be a must)

    Items:
    - small telescopes
    - clothing / closet items that would allow us to build 1x1, 2x2, and walk in closets, that serve the same purpose as the dresser items.
    - Above ground pool item. Kiddie and family size

    - camp out
    - Pool party
    - Bachelor / Bachelorette party
    - Retirement party
    - Wedding anniversary

    Other:
    - family tree
    - buy & upgrade commercial real estate
    - way of designating age on cursor hover
    =or=
    - scale down teens so they're shorter / smaller than adults

    Fixes
    - marriage name not changing
    - unreliable maid
    - small eyes and chin bug

    Expansions
    - Seasons
    - University
    - Open For Business
    - Farm life (instead of just dogs and cats, introduce a whole farming themed expansion with animal items like the chickens & cows in the sim store. @Selenagrey had a great post about it.)

love all these ideas but want to add baby showers in there. and don't have the farm life in the store make a whole Ep out of it!
Toddlers need to return along with adding preteens. private schools with the head master, the ability to toss baseball and football again. Please bring back our shower woohoo please. a Freetime Ep is also needed.

Give me back my open world!!!!!! At the very least, within the neighborhoods. I mean, come guys, you give us this wonderful ability to walk down the street to visit our neighbors, or take in a movie. Then you take it away!!!!!!!!! Come on EA, that's cruel!!!!!! I mean how stupid is it to go see your neighbor, then walk back home, get to your front walk, then instead of simply walking up it & into your house, LOADING SCREEN!!!!!!!! Come on!! Really?!! would also like larger neighborhoods, & worlds. The ones we have, although incredibly beautiful, can get quite boring. We need more to do. A diversity of community lots, parks, oceans, forests, etc. & loose the bleeping loading screens!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

More lots. I love the worlds (though I honestly would like the open world concept again. I'm not sure if that's an option however). But there should definitely be more empty lots. I love creating my own commercial and residential lots, and with the way the worlds are set up now, I don't have a whole lot to work with. Making the worlds bigger, with more lots in gereral, is a big one for me.

I loved how in the Sims 3, there were fishing holes, and all kinds of open area's to find collectables and meet other sims. If you can't make the sims 4 open world, then adding plain park lots, and fishing hole plots, would be pretty neat.

But all in all, bigger worlds. There needs to be more to them. I know there will be expansions with seasons/weather, more worlds, and pets, and I'm not too worried about how those expansions will be released, and what will be in them. I trust the sims team to know what the Simming community loves, and follow through with that (though I do hope horses will be apart of pets again. I've heard rumors that horses won't be coming back with the pets EP. If that's true, then at least include them with some kind of farm/ranch/country EP. That would be amazing <3).

I personally don't mind the lack of open worlds; the loading screens are quick and don't bother me. However, I would really like bigger worlds -- or more worlds -- if possible. I'd like to be able to place lots and have more kinds of lots. Something like the Town Life stuff pack would be much appreciated; I'd definitely buy that.

I know what i would like to see in the new sims 4
1.option to play in open worlds (loades up evrething) and like now non open world
2.if you like can play with your sims in ther job like it can be something amizeing
3.if chieldren can have romance it would be great.
4.i know you (EA and Maxis) want add more worlds or towns so i think it would be great like map of the world (from reallife) and like do diffrant towns based on diffrant contrys and like i saw in one of the towns (from the sims from this time) trains in the backround so i think like you can use cars to get to diffrant places/citys/towns and train and like to have airplane so you can fly to diffrant contrys like in real life and boats.
5.and a new world i like too see for now : i like to see like huge towns like from the sims 3 night something dlc town but too have like the small towns houses around it like some kind of amrican or asian city baesd on how you want make it.
6.if you can have diffrant jobs for each city like in the sims 3
7.too i know you (EA and Maxis) will add some dlcs so i think in the shareing thing (online shareing) if you colud see what stuff from dlcs it used like lets say ther 3 dlc for the sims 4 pets, supernatrul and cats so lets say some one uploaded a sim who used stuff from cats so i will cant download it and i will see something what show that he (the uploader) used the cat dlc. (Just dont make a cats dlc LOL)
7.pools: i dont know why but more and more fans of sims want pools so add it if you have the time, money, mood.
    8. Ok this one is based on how you gonna build the game in the future: if you can do in the online shareing so you can share addons mods it would be nice.
9.if you can add more games to the PC or tablets in the sims 4.
10.if you can add consols like simbox one or gamesstishon 4 (lol simbox=xbox one and you get the orther one).
11.if you can have more voices.
12.if chandeing cloths will take a bit longer.
13.if like in real life after "try for baby" so if the girl is pregmant to she will go to doctor sometime and if ahe will born the baby in hospital.
14.if you will cant age up manule the babys.
    15. If you will can have more options in create a sim.
    16. If you will can take a break from work for time like 2 days.
    17. if we can get more info about the game in game like what you (EA And Maxis) planing to the game.
    18. if you will have like MINIGAMES like in The video games in game fishing.
    19. i would be great to have more music in game.
    20. more.party options and sleep overs

And i thinks its all thanks to you EA And Maxis for creating this game and list to the fans of sims have great time in makeing the game and good life :) .

Far as the world is concerned:

Open NEIGHBORHOOD! It would be nice to visit a neighbor without the loading screen. I LOVE the open world but can live without it-as long as the neighborhood can be open. It is sorta weird when I send my sim over to visit a neighbor/friend and then when he or she leaves the neighbor house, they'd run back across the street, in front of their house and then the screen goes to load. Why? when the house is right there and all they have to do is walk up the stairs and go in the house.

More LOTS to build on! It is very limited in where you can build and where you can move your sim once they age into a young adult. Sometimes I'd like to keep pre-made families around so evicting them or bulldozing a lot to rebuild over isn't always an option. I like houses that are already built.

    More VENUES! Please!

Also the option to create your own world!

I have a few more but it's not coming to mind at the moment. But what I've typed is like the most important..lbvvs!

I want the open world back, but at the same time I understand (mostly) why they went back to the loading screens for every lot. I wonder if there's an in-between? Like the entire world being made up of small neighborhoods (with each one being the size of an entire sims4 world. They're tiny. That needs to be fixed) with loading screens between the neighborhoods but open world inside?
Or that might open up a whole slew of other problems.

Create a style needs to come back. At least the color wheel if nothing else.

Make them less backdrop from Loony Toons and more world... and more Worlds. There is only one world with little neighborhoods. That's - limiting and no where can I make a Medieval world without having to start by knocking everything down- just like the start of TS3.

How about something more in depth than just a neighborhood editing tool. I would like a World Making tool. Neighborhood editing is just a start. World manipulation is important, too. Starting out with the same little world with little neighborhoods and only being able to editing the same map- limited and boring. imo

    So, Good luck!

Can we also get a normal sized piano? When I grew up, we had a normal sized piano - not a huge grand piano that takes up tons of space. Pianos are just large in general, but for my artsy Sim on a budget, I want the ability to get a smaller piano to put in a backroom or even the front parlor up against the wall for practice's sake. Thanks.

As I was doing dishes to take my mind off that I was doing something I hate. I really thought out your question. Sims has always been a dollhouse sandbox. Play the way "You want". This is what made it successful. You tried to take that condition away in Sims 3 a few times and the simmers started picking up their pitchforks and sending out S.O.S messages to the devs on the forum, some more rage than other. Each sims series has been an advancement in the Sims games. Each brought something amazing to the table. Until you hit Sims 4. With those short words, let's get to the nitty gritty.

I play an MMO now that is more dollhouse sandbox than Sims 4. I own farm land, one well to do house in a richy area, a small house by a pond that I can fish in, an aqua farm, pet mounts, battle pets (pet being the point), clothes I can change besides my armor, furniture I make for my houses, livestock, and a farm cart.

All this is open world. I have three jobs, which are farming, livestock raising, and doing trade routes. I can interact with my furniture, such as sit, sleep, move around, and etc. I can have a family (no kids though). I only have to level to 10 by quests, do a few quests to get a donkey (helps trade runs) and wahla I am free to get to level 50 any way I chose. I don't need to quest to fifty. I can do my jobs and level! Um my main is level 50 did exactly this.

You level the way you want. You play the way you want. See, this game is more dollhouse sandbox than Sims 4. You took the players choice away and filled it with mini quests. Overdone wildly going emotions. You locked your players in tiny worlds. You took out the hours of fun, and brought down to only a few hours of fun.

You have single handily made Sims 4 something it isn't. Yes, change can be good, but not when in the move you completely ruin what made the game a success.

I am in a guild of about 400 people. I was surprised when I found out some play Sims, but let me stress they play Sims 3. They call Sims 4 a joke. That it isn't really a Sims game. And what I stated above is about what those players I talked to in my guild say. They also said you STOPPED listening to your player base. So, they moved on.

While playing the sims, I decided to go into tab mode and explore the towns. Well I went a little further and explored every part of the town. And I came across this:

    eRmKr3z.png

This highly disappoints me. Just imagine how big the worlds could be if they made this actual space. I really wish they could expand the worlds in updates and stuff. But this is probably one of the biggest disappointments for me.
