I think bringing back The Sims Medieval with a medieval world would be so much fun! Since we can travel between worlds, we could have sims live there or just visit.
I would like the following: 1) A grocery shop - I didn't like the clothes shop in Sims 2 because I did one visit and bought everything, but the grocery shop in Sims 3 was good for selling as well as buying. I prefer to just change clothes whenever. 2) Scientist, Medical Careers and Police Careers 3) Film star/model careers 4) A sports career and stadium 5) Self-employed careers - gardening etc 6) Consignment Store - for self employed again 7) To be able to add a pond to the garden. 8) No load to the immediate neighbourhood if visiting next door 9) BIGGER and more Lots - I miss the 64x64 lots so much. Finding every build I do seems so cramped. I used to make huge flat desert worlds for Sims 3 and fill them with as many 64x64 lots as I could. 10) The ability to place lots wherever I want, at any size 11) More outdoor toys for kids 12) The colour wheel and patterns 13) The ability to set any life span I choose - like in Sims 3.
Must say I love the gardening this time, and the painting, and I'm not missing toddlers as much as I thought. Also glad that pools (miss them more) and other careers are coming soon. :D
First, I would like to say that I'm pleasantly surprised by some of the changes. Saving the game is extremely fast, which makes the ability to exit fast easier than with S3. Love CAS. Love the x's to take off content instead of having to take each accessory, hat, ect. off. Love being able to build/buy easily. I've seen people fuss about the roof and I'm not sure what they are thinking; I love it. So easy to make and adjust the roof now. Love the move rooms. In general, as a base, I'm happy with it. I can't wait to see all that is added...
Improvements:
Showers too long. Unless woohoo in shower is introduced, then they are too long.
Ability to lock gates please
Moving out after Marriage and not loosing stuff in family inventory/house(lost it all even after not clicking box to sell it).
larger lots please
fastfood, factory, general jobs available for adults like they are for teens for those who don't want to finish a list for the jobs. please.
higher bar for family relationships esp. for spouses. If people want less, they can always have them fight, but is sucks to have married folk and kids and have to waste time building up something that should already be at least to the 75th percentile.
door locks
bed assignment
ask to leave pinned to main menu for all sims. Pizza guy showed up without pizza and wouldn't leave and goodbye didn't work(reported), but an ask to leave might have worked if it had been available for NPCs.
For future EPs: basements would be nice
graveyards where unplayed families stones automatically go there. For played, you do what you want. The fam gets a menu and you select funeral at gravesite or no funeral and then get either an urn or sim can buy stone, cheap headstone, or really nice headstone for them. If funeral is selected, then the fam. also gets to pick out box, regular coffin, or fancy coffin. Then, fam/friends show up and cry at the graveyard for a service.
If doctors are brought back please add broke arms, legs, some sickness to the sims as was on the survey.
Really want that architecture job to build houses in the Sims as a career as in the survey.
Also would love that maid job as described in the survey where our sims go to homes to clean ect.
Important to my gameplay is: toddlers(passies please, toys, real doll), vampires, gardener for hire, nanny/governess who stays with family, maid, Farm EP separate from Pets EP, and the ability to make towns like in the survey you sent out to a lucky few only. Real apartments and apartment types for storing more than one sim. I've heard that the Sims 2 had a great EP. This would also be a great place for other sims not played to live.
I've heard that teens were made the size they were to easily add adolescents. I would love this added. Kids play and teens date, learn to drive, and have part-time jobs, but pre-teens could be a stage to skill up, build relationships, and play games, because time & responsibilities doesn't always allow this for the other age groups.
I would love stores/places to go to buy things. Adding one per hood when content becomes available would be neat. Pet stores(like Graham's), potion store(like S3), grocery store, general store, clothing shop, furniture store, camping supplies store, Car lot, banks to cash checks and take out loans. Vacation places like China ect., because I for one loved World Adventures.
Finally, would be nice to get info. in an easy to find place about the first EP and about a Sims 4 store. I personally hope SPs are out and just combined into EPs, so that we can have more EPs and so I wont feel cheated when paying $20 for a few clothes that are digital. Until KP came out and more was added, I always felt that the SPs were too thin in content to justify making or buying them.

Yes, it may be a pleasure but if you really look at it The Sims 4 is simulation game of families. I find it to not be as relistic to have the babies just jump on out of their crib. I understand that some game players might not want it, so maybe they could make a game add-on for toddlers, and not everyone has to download it. But it would be silly to have simmers pay for toddlers.
> @katoregama said: > Yeah, not having an open world is a pretty big backstep. I can understand they wanted to reduce loading times, but not having an open world anymore seems like a cheap solution.
also, loading times have doubled, if you include going to see a friend in another neighborhood? Or just going to see a sims period like living across the street from your house there is a loading screen..
So if you actually think of it that way, loading times have doubled.
Honestly, there are alot of good game details in Sims 4... but not a lot of fun stuff to do with your sims as in TS2,S3, I wish they would have kept most of the game content, and made the details like they are now. It kinda makes me sad D:
I apologize in advance if someone's already posted something like this, but I honestly didn't feel like reading through all 12 pages after I skimmed the first few, so here is my 2 simolean's worth.
To the Sims Dev Team:
You actually can do something right now to give people what they want...namely, you need to make the generic lot a true community lot instead of leaving it as a semi-residential lot. You need to take out the mailbox, for one thing, and you also need to make it so that Sims will autonomously come there on their own. This lot can easily be made into a multipurpose community lot with very little effort on your part.
First, I would suggest that you make community-lot specific objects, that when put into the lot will use one of the homeless townies as an npc worker, pretty much like the cash register did in The Sims 3. For example, restaurants:
All you need is to bring back the stove from The Sims 2, the one that generated the chef. You could also have the podium that generates a host/hostess, and use current npc's as waiters. Bring back the barristas and the baked goods counters...You could also bring back the cash register that Sims could use to buy various things instead of just from the buy catalog...such as different types of electronics, clothes, for one (The decorative clothing racks come to mind).
These are just a few suggestions that I'm throwing out. We need more objects to be community -lot specific so that we can create various kinds of lots using that generic lot. That one lot alone has the potential to be a multi-purpose lot that Sims can use to do various things. I think that's something that could be immediately (well, maybe by December) be implemented with using a few community-lot specific objects (you could use washers/dryers for a laundry) and you wouldn't have to designate different types of lots...just use the generic lots and make it so that they attract more Sims to come to them autonomously.
EA Marketing Department Motto:
"We Don't Care If You LIKE The Game, Just As Long As You BUY The Game!"
I Disapprove (Naturally) I Took The Pledge!
You need to add the option to connect and disconnect towns per save for players. There should also be an options page that allows you to choose settings for your different towns. Especially when we get supernaturals like an options page that lets you choose if your ghosts can have babies, or age or whether they spawn in your town and then lets you choose particulars for all your supernaturals. We need these options for Time Travel, I loved into the future! (Different ways of behaving per time period. I would love a series of time travel EP's into the past that behave like they're in the past, as well as look like it.) Every player wants their towns to function differently, so it would be nice to be able to connect and disconnect towns at the player's discretion and also put settings per different town.
PLEASE Give us back portrait painting!! It's such a great feature for legacy players.
We also need options for storage, open up end tables, counters, cabinets and make chests and boxes, give us jewelry boxes and objects that store items so we can have items stored seamlessly all throughout the house instead of cluttering up our inventories and household inventories.
We need the ability to lock doors/gates and assign ownership of items and rooms. I'd like the ability to assign ownership to different rooms, that way sims know what rooms are theirs and which ones are not.
You also need to start focusing on family gameplay and EACH lifestate and adding interactions for them especially toddlers and elders. You need to bring in an open for business type expansion and make lot sizes much bigger. We need the option to own multiple lots, community and residential and this time, we should be able to own multiple houses and play MULTIPLE houses at the same time.
EA is going to need to put a lot of money back into this cash cow with innovative and FULL expansions, full of interactions, towns, objects, build items etc...They've drained it dry for so long, they're gonna have to put some money back into it to make things right and not nickel and dime their consumers.
Supernatural sims should be able to be created in CAS, I'm bummed you can't create a ghost sim from CAS, also please give us ghost babies back! I can't believe EA took that game play away from us, if EA wanted to make ghosts more like ghosts, why not do it in a way that adds game play instead like making ghosts invisible, taking away ghost babies just takes away game play from family and legacy simmers ONCE AGAIN. It would have been better to make ghosts invisible to most sims, but add a supernatural trait or something that allows certain sims to see ghosts. Other sims can only see ghosts when they do something like opening a door or haunting an object.
(Also, I would love genies, dragons and mermaids back! Please! I'd like it if genies could use their lamp to live in and their basic lamp would fulfill sleep, hygiene and bladder, but you could buy fancy lamps that fulfill, sleep hygiene, hunger, and bladder, maybe fun too. And dragon eggs that you have to find so you can hatch and raise baby dragons, also with breeding options too.)
There's a lot more that I could add, but I'm sure others are already getting to that.
More and/or bigger neighborhoods. The "lack of open world" thing doesn't bother me too much but it WOULD be nice if each individual neighborhood was open world, like I could just walk over to my neighbors no problem. I am not a game developer so I'm not sure how it works.. but if lack of fully open world makes my game run smoother, then I'd rather have the smooth gameplay. I have a nice, home-built computer for gaming and TS3 lags something fierce on it, to the point where it's pretty much unplayable. Also... it would be nice if there was an option to switch between sims/locations like how it was in TS3.
I would like a more prominent downtown area with more community lots and unique businesses/activities. It would be super awesome if there could be festivals and street fairs periodically.. sort of like how TS3 Seasons is, with a focus on seasonal activities, but have it be in a more urban setting and have each building adapt to it. Like business will automatically put out lights, put lights in the tree's... ect. lol there could be a "black Friday" event where everything goes on sale and sims have a chance of getting stuff for free. It would be neat if there was a career option for people to own and run businesses and have a seasonal or street fair challenge, or promotional/event challenges. Like a bar owner could organize a Halloween event in fall.. but then have it so it's sort of like the event/party challenges on home lots. It would be cool too if businesses could earn money, like bars could actually earn money from drinks (although drinks can be expensive, I can see them bringing in a lot of money.. so maybe have it so they have to pay a lease for the building, get building permits, pay employees.. ect. Just make it more challenging to run a business)
Someone mentioned something about the option for sims to have private conversations... YESS PLEASE!! So many times I have had my sims go out on a date and sooo many sims would join in on the conversation and then suddenly it's an awkward conversation. I don't ALWAYS want my sims dates to be awkward. I've tried canceling out the group convo and just having my couple sim interact and then have them go sit together to ensure no one will bother them, but everybody else automatically joins their interaction. I try having my sims be rude to the offending sims, sometimes that works lol. It would be nice too if you could control who is apart of a convo.. I swear, you go in and start talking to someone and they all swarm around like flies on 🐸🐸🐸🐸.. I want their interactions to be more realistic, like in real life you don't talk to anybody and everybody. It'd be cool if there was a way to adjust how outgoing a sim is, like the more outgoing a sim is, the more likely they are to start a conversation with a stranger sim while less outgoing sims are more likely to avoid engaging in a conversations.
(*) Being back Toddlers & add new life stage Pre-teen
(*) No loading screens between houses in the same neighborhood.
(*) Make the parents, seem more like Parents. With more inter action for them with their children. For example: Embarrassing moment ,encouragement. And do as your told, and It’s time for bed.
(*) More lots types. example: restaurants , spas and pool house
(*) A improve Dating, love and Romance. I understand most of this is done with inter action choices. But, I would like there to be a difference between how sims act in relationship. So, we notice if a sim is more aggressive and out going or Modest and reserved. I think this would add another level to the game play. That most of us would enjoy.
(*) New world to enjoy
Then I would like the Usual more hairstyles, clothing and tattoos.Basically more in CAS.
> @PdrHnrqPlay1 said: > Shops! Shops like of The Sims 2, clothing shops, markets. The basic, since at the moment we only have the base game. And with the interactions of purchase equal the shops of The Sims 2 is very satisfying to see small details on purchases, as shopping bags, Sims delivering simoleons and attendants cash opening your cash register and saving money. > > The markets could be equal to the Sims 2. I could buy groceries to fill the fridge. As in The Sims 4 we have the possibility to have many ingredients included, the items that could be available in these markets would be milk, eggs, cheeses, fruits, vegetables, herbs etc. > According to the game is expanding with expansion packs, stuff, increase the number of shops and items that these shops possess. =) > > I also like to see some loving and affectionate interactions as "Serve Meal" equal to The Sims 2. The sims put dish by dish at the dinner table according to the amount of sims in the house. It was beautiful to see it happen and the other sims sitting waiting for food. > > Since The Sims 3 i'm feeling miss, of the little details. The dressers are no longer used, the sims no longer opens the drawers to exchange costumes. I miss the little details that in The Sims 2 had. > Please EA, if put cars in the future, do not let the sims if you teleport into the cars like in The Sims 3. >
I really like the Sims 4 overall, however, there were some feature of Sims 3 that I really enjoyed and would like to see again in this game. I did like the open world but the way the Sims 4 is laid out isn't so terrible. However, if it is going to remain the way it is we need more lots to chose from or more worlds. The choices of where to live are very slim. Another feature that I really miss was the toddlers and the ability to parent them into better children. I enjoy how the babies in this one have become more realistic and the ability to breast feed is now present. I also like the fact that children can now have aspirations of their own to work on I just wish there was a similar set up for the toddlers again. JOBS...there are not as many careers to chose from. I enjoyed the daycare career and a few other careers that are not present in the Sims 4 that were in the Sims 3, however, I do like the new careers as well. Maybe more careers can be added over time. Overall I love the game and am very glad I purchased it I just wish we could have some updates to bring back some of the things that are no longer available. Thank you!!!
There is no CASt, no colour wheel, no terrain editing, no lockable doors for building semi-detached and terraced housing, not enough lots, lots are too small, too many loading screens within just one neighbourhood (your sim can't walk into another garden even without a loading screen) the generic lot type doesn't attract ANY visitors AT ALL - all sims want to do is talk, talk, talk, talk and very little else.
I've stopped opening up my game recently because the game is not satisfying my creative need which I feel has been almost completely stifled with Sims 4 which is a pity because what there is within the game is actually quite good. It's just not quite enough to hold my interest because I like to be creative and I find I can't be as creative as I would like to be in this game.
> @munchie885 said: > HazzaPlumbob wrote: » > > It annoys me that we can actually go to these areas with the camera, it completely ruins my immersion... > > > > > EA did it to tease us about the open world we once had and will never see again :(
We need the NPC services to return, plus lots of new ones - new ones who actually WORK (unlike in TS3 store content venues).
The maid, the fireman, the repairman, a hire-able gardener, a butler.
Waiters, chefs, coffee barristers, sales clerks. And in this case, I don't really care about realism. I am perfectly okay with them literally standing behind a cash register all day like robots - as long as it means we can actually play!
Librarians, ticket booth sellers, cleaners. Most community lots should have NPCs attached IMO.
And maybe, just maybe, could we make it possible for OUR sims to take NPC jobs? - to BE a maid or a repairman or a fireman? Because that would be cool.
I do have to say I don't like the loading between lots and wish the game was coded to where we only loaded between hoods. However, I did talk to my programmer husband about making next door neighbor lots open and he said it is probably hard coded in and can't be taken out. So, if that is the case then my other suggestion would be to make the worlds bigger so we have more room to walk around outdoors.
I would like some more careers that have a connection with our Aspirations (like being a chef and working as a chef connect). More service NPC's would be nice too. Firemen, policemen, etc.
We are in desperate need of places for our Sims to go like a bowling alley, restaurants, grocery stores so it feels more like a town. Everything is so instant right now. A color wheel would be awesome. I would also like to see portrait painting make a come back. I would like to say that I do appreciate the things you are adding in for free like careers and pools. I am looking forward to those things.
I am laughing so hard...
---
Anyway, perhaps it will be expanded when a late night-related expansion is released? The SimGurus did say that the worlds can be expanded in the future.
Oh, I hope so. I loved the huge worlds and the huge lots. I used to fill up the largest lot in S3 and wanted a larger one and that was playing with a huge basement. I had rooms each for all the WA worlds and so much more.
I was trying to find my prev. post to add on but, I would like some other things also.
Faithful trait- no flirting or use of the romantic socials with anyone, but spouses/BF/GF.
I could be wrong, but I didn't notice in the rewards section the ability to change traits with a potion reward; could've missed it and if not, it would be a nice add-on.
Option to enter into a friends with benefits relationship with more than one sim so that socials don't have to level up.
At some point if the fav. color could be added back since this game is about emotions and if clothes, décor, wall colors, or ect. were a certain color, then it could bring a great moodlet or a boost to the relationship if that sim is dressed in the other sim's fav. color.
We need more space and options! We need more lots and lot types. There is only so much we can do with the options we currently have. No rabbit holes, ever!
For lot types/Venues: Generic (Allowing Visitors) Restaurant/Food Book/Clothing Store (Options not available in CAS) Theatre Grocery Store Furniture Store (Exclusive Furniture) Salon/Hairdresser *Schools/Jobs
I would like to see great depth added to the 'vanilla' base game stuff first before any expansion packs. As for all these people talking about getting rid of loading screens...the game engine has been written now, its too late for that type of stuff.
I want:
- More TV channels - More careers - Swimming pools that can be curved in shape - Basements - Larger lot sizes - Keep the existing neighbourhoods but expand them al la Sims Unleashed - House land line phones - An external program to customise recolours (I doubt the game engine would allow this in game) - Dishwashers, trash compacters, hot tubs and other 'basic' items - Sim radio on the music players - More party items and fun things like bubble blowers - More NPCs like gardeners...but you can become friends and get move them into your family - A way to make more creative stair cases - Glass roofs? Not sure how that would work - Chimneys with fire places - Have the active sims head come up when you click things! - Family tree - Name changes with marriage as an option
Here's some things:
-Toddlers
-More realistic careers; firefighter, teacher, open for business, etc.
-Cars
-More places to visit; forests, beaches, restaurants, coffee shops, etc.
-Better conversations; I hate having sims listen to every conversation

Just my thoughts.
right here. Hopefully am not too late
> Shops!
>
>
> I also like to see some loving and affectionate interactions as "Serve Meal" equal to The Sims 2.
>
>
I can only say.....YES!!!!!! <3 <3 <3

Hey, maybe we'll have open worlds in The Sims 5!
YES!
This would really improve the world for me
I can play at last TS2 TS3 and TS4 So great that toddlers are here!!!
Yes!
I really want NPCs services to return and I really want NPCs services in lots of base game such as gym and library. It's something completely new.
It's something small but brings some fun for now that we only have base game.
I really dislike using things in the community lots as I use at home. I would like they worked with guichets/service counters offering services.

Oh, I hope so. I loved the huge worlds and the huge lots. I used to fill up the largest lot in S3 and wanted a larger one and that was playing with a huge basement. I had rooms each for all the WA worlds and so much more.
At some point if the fav. color could be added back since this game is about emotions and if clothes, décor, wall colors, or ect. were a certain color, then it could bring a great moodlet or a boost to the relationship if that sim is dressed in the other sim's fav. color.
For lot types/Venues:
Generic (Allowing Visitors)
Restaurant/Food
Book/Clothing Store (Options not available in CAS)
Theatre
Grocery Store
Furniture Store (Exclusive Furniture)
Salon/Hairdresser
*Schools/Jobs

I would like to see great depth added to the 'vanilla' base game stuff first before any expansion packs. As for all these people talking about getting rid of loading screens...the game engine has been written now, its too late for that type of stuff.
I want:
- More TV channels
- More careers
- Swimming pools that can be curved in shape
- Basements
- Larger lot sizes
- Keep the existing neighbourhoods but expand them al la Sims Unleashed
- House land line phones
- An external program to customise recolours (I doubt the game engine would allow this in game)
- Dishwashers, trash compacters, hot tubs and other 'basic' items
- Sim radio on the music players
- More party items and fun things like bubble blowers
- More NPCs like gardeners...but you can become friends and get move them into your family
- A way to make more creative stair cases
- Glass roofs? Not sure how that would work
- Chimneys with fire places
- Have the active sims head come up when you click things!
- Family tree
- Name changes with marriage as an option
-Toddlers
-More realistic careers; firefighter, teacher, open for business, etc.
-Cars
-More places to visit; forests, beaches, restaurants, coffee shops, etc.
-Better conversations; I hate having sims listen to every conversation
