So many Sims lovers, including myself, also enjoy the whole Harry Potter series and the world. EA produced all of the Harry Potter games, and just so happened to produce The Sims games as well. EA already has the basics for The Sims 4 and the basics for the Harry Potter games. All they have to do is use the layout for Hogwarts from the Order of the Phoenix and Half-Blood Prince and combine it with the basic idea for The Sims 4. All they have to do is build Hogsmead and Diagon Ally, put in the sorting hat ideas (which is really easy if you've read the books, or know about each house), create all four of the common rooms, and boom! Harry Potter expansion pack, you create your sim to be yourself, you get sorted and you get to learn seven years of magic. I'm not really sure if we should get signatures, but I'll make a list of people that would play this expansion pack. Comment with signed and I'll start the list with myself, and if your username doesn't have your real name comment with that too, so we know it's real people who would want to play this.
I think they should stay away from recreating a Supernatural EP just because I think they could add supernaturals with new expansion packs, DLC, and upcoming patches. My all time favorite expansion pack in all of the Sims 1, 2, and 3 would have to be Makin' Magic. That is the type of expansion pack the Sims 4 definitely needs. Do away with the idea of Harry Potter- I LOVE HARRY POTTER (the books- not the movies) and it's offensive when people call it a children's book just for the fact that all of my adult friends love Harry Potter.
The could call it: The Sims 4: Spellbound The expansion pack could include ranks of witchcraft and wizardry. The choice of becoming good or neutral, but if your witch or wizard wants to be wicked/dark in the craft they have to find the wicked witch and/or dark wizard to complete goals and go up in skill levels. They could introduce a college of some type to fit in with the magical theme of the expansion pack, as well as spell shops (I wouldn't necessarily say witchcraft or new age stores, since so many people get offended by the word, and a lot of uptight parents would prohibit their kids from playing).
Our Sims who classify as witch, wizard, mage, sorcerer/ess, etc. could also have the choice whether or not to attend the school of magic, or teach themselves- which would make the process in skill leveling, collecting, and spell casting go up slower. They should also incorporate talismans, runes, tarot reading, scrying, crystal magick, mind control, elemental magick, wizard/witch duels, rare magical creatures that enhance your magical abilities, telekinesis, raising the dead, and death magick. and fire and ice magick. They could also add some of our favorite NPCs to the expansion like: Bonehilda, the Mystery Man and Apothecary Todd.

Harry Potter isn't a children's series. Even adults read it..ever notice in stories there are HP books with adult covers not the childish covers? Beside Harry Potter is the reason why we have two different lists for the New York Bestsellers.

The Harry Potter series was, in fact, written for children. It may be that adults like it too, but that doesn't change what it is.
This is from the March 2014 survey, I think this could be possible:
"Magic University:
Join your fellow sorcerers at a school specializing in hexes, potions, and dragonology. Do you have the skills and commitment to gain the rank of Supreme Dragon Handler, or will you drop out and be stripped of your powers forever?"
EDIT: also here´s some more information from the survey:
"Wizards:
Put on your wizard’s robes and grab your wand, there’s magic in the air! Fly with dragons, conjure trolls for battle, and craft wondrous artifacts to help your friends and terrorize your enemies."
YES YES!!!!! Harry Potter is the best! I literary had the idea last night that we simmers should get together and try and make this possible. Everything from clothes to hogwarts and diagon alley and hogsmeade. You could even get wizard careers like aurors and ministry of magic. You could have your baby at St. Mungo's. You could even have the chance to become and animagus. I think this is the best thing I have seen in a while on this.
I don't think that making an expansion pack based on a book series is a good idea, and I'll tell you why:
The Sims has always been a game that is based (loosely) on real life and real families. Sure, it's fun to have some fantasy elements in it, like aliens, and supernaturals. But, the appeal of the Sims is that a lot of different players can enjoy it; there's enough reference to popular books in some of the library book titles that give a wink and a nod to what fans enjoy reading. But there's also enough "reality" that players who just want to play a reality type game can do it.
And another thing...if EA gives in and does a Harry Potter expansion pack for all the Harry Potter fans out there, they'd also have to do an expansion pack for fans of Twilight and The Hunger Games, because those are two book series that are hugely popular, and in fact, were asked for repeatedly for The Sims 3.
And heck, for that matter....why not Game of Thrones? It's not a children's book but it's got dragons, knights, kings, queens, sorcerers and lots of political intrigue. But, at what point does this stop becoming all about the Sims themselves, and all about the books?
I'm sorry but I wouldn't buy anything based on a book. If I'd been that interested, I would have bought all of EA's Harry Potter series a long time ago.
EA Marketing Department Motto:
"We Don't Care If You LIKE The Game, Just As Long As You BUY The Game!"
I Disapprove (Naturally) I Took The Pledge!
This is a horrible idea, along with all the other tosh about mermaids unicorns and the rest of the supernatural garbage! If you want to play fantasy games then buy one, there's plenty out there, and stop trying to 🐸🐸🐸🐸 TS4 with pointless limited appeal EPs!
Harry Potter is a children's book. I prefer something more grown up.
Have you actually read the whole series? It's pretty dark. There are hundreds of books aimed at adults that have weak immature plots. >__>
Anyhoo, each to their own, I guess.
A Harry Potter themed expansion is not something I would ask for, or feel that I need but I'm not going to lie, I'd fork over my money faster than you could say Bathilda Bagshot.
If it wasn't clear I said no. I will not:
Be forced to go to a magic school for seven years My sim mother can teach my simself spells not even a headmaster could teach me in 800 years all in the matter of a few months.
Be using a wand as my default way of magic and have to pay later for "magic hands." when hand magic should be the default way, and most powerful. wands are just for precision.

You'd grow up in the same way the regular Sims did. I would say more like you could chose how to perform magic, I'd just want to do it for the houses and you could dress the sims in your house colors.

OMG that is so much better, but I still like the idea of having the houses and Diagon Ally/Hogsmead. You don't necessarily go through 7 years, but I think it would cool no matter what.

I'd prefer a straight Supernatural EP with no tie-in, thank you.
