I enjoy watching abandoned house videos and looking at historic blueprints. Every now and again one really catches my attention and I go in game and try to model it. This one if from an abandoned house video. Some of my other builds from modeling from historical material are Strangerville Asylum and Craftsman Charm.
Carpenter Goth w/cupola is a lovely Sims gameversion of the home from the video! @JojoMOMSTER You have reflected it very well! It is a very nice design. The roof tower and front porch are very nice.Simmers will enjoy furnishing it.
@luckyheather Rheys Beach Cafe is wonderful and you have done it up nicely! @lsnishi French flower shop is very lovely, sleek, and beautiful! @Taoron Modern Concrete Villa, I love the sleek design of it and the detail is beautiful! @JojoMOMSTER Carpenter Goth w/Cupola you've done and awesome job on this home, I love the design!
Tuscan/Mediterranean Home is a lovely Mediterranean home! @Taoron The exterior design of the home and layout of the build is very nice! The outdoors pool, loungers and sofa patio is very nice! Sims will enjoy swimming there or relaxing on the seating.
It is a lovely family home
Note: I had a problem with the terrain paint so I had to do it again before the upload, so it may be slightly different in places from the screenshots.
Happy Llama Park is a lovely park for Sims and their families to enjoy visiting! @luckyheather The layout, design, huts, upper patios, floral hedging on Park edges, and trees are lovely! Very nice arch entrance to park and pretty llama water fountain feature! Very nice kids play areas! They will enjoy playing in the balls pit, on the slide, pirate ship and swings , playing the llama tabletop game, and doing artwork on the activities table .The llamas look great in the park areas! Very nice large pool and pretty rock waterfall! Very nice outdoors bbq and picnic table dining area on the upper balcony!
It is a lovely park with many activities to enjoy doing!
1. Days, weeks or months. It depends on my spare time and on if I have a clear project on my mind or not.
2. I only use MOO and not always.
3. I build my own projects, for challenges and most of all for requests, as I´m into the DNA Request Team.
4. I love to build low cost ones or starters for myself but for requests I have no limits.
5. I love houses designs since I can remember. I taught Art in High School but that have no any influence when I build.
6. I have a very good laptop for playing. About the pics, I edit mine a little before posting.
Teaching art does affect how you design a building! Some people don't have sense of beauty. You have a gift! I somehow felt relieved to know that you edited pics before posting, I thought: "Why the same objects look so ugly in my game, but yours look so great?"
1. Depends on my motivation, inspiration and the size of the built. So anything between 2 hours and a few weeks
2. bb.moveobjects, bb.showhiddenobjects and the new bb.showliveeditobjects cheats, no CC at all. I don't like having people force to download extra stuff.
3. Both, though for my own Sims I tend to do stuff that won't work, if uploaded to gallery. Like some hiddenobjects that disappear.
4. Uhmmmm from starter homes that are under 20k to really expensive homes, but I don't think I ever got over 500k
5. Nope
6. An Acer Aspire V17. For screens I choose the highest possible graphic setting, while I recently have to choose a slightly lower setting for playing
Didn't know all the building cheats, might give them a try! I used Acer laptop for years and it'd crushed a lot recently. LOL If I chose the best graphic setting my game would go very slow.
I probably don't qualify to that heaven-sent creation builder but answering your questions anyway
1. Anything from 4 hours to months: depends on inspiration, health and the size of the build.
2. I don't use CC. However I use cheats bb.moveobjects on (#MOO), bb.showhiddenobjects (#SHO), bb.ignoregameplayunlocksentitlement (#IGPUE) and the new bb.showliveeditobjects. The hashtags within ( ) are what I put in Gallery share to let others know what cheats has been used.
3. Just enjoy building ever since The Sims. I have shared everything I've build except unfinished projects.
4. Typically around 160k to 350k but there has been cheaper and more expensive too.
5. None. I've just always been into drawing, coloring, creating since being a toddler.
6. Lenovo ideacentre desk computer. I build and play with highest graphics - has some lags on big and detailed lots or while having 8 sims family and many neighbors visiting at once on medium and bigger lots.
Oh, don't be a silly, you won't submit your creations if you don't think they're beautiful. They're beautiful. In fact, I had to skip all the beautiful lots in this thread for the fear that I might want to build a real one in my life. LOL And I hated that the game lag a lot with best graphics.
1. It all depends on my mood!
2. I Don't use any CC in builds I upload to the gallery unless otherwise stated on the build itself! I use bb.moveobjects on!
3. I use a lot of my houses for personal use, some I build for others and only play test in the build!
4. Depends on the build, some are very costly and some are very costly!
5. I don't have any background in or study architect, I just love to build and have done it in Sims 2, 3 and now 4, and plan on continuing!
6. I've had my super computer so long, I don't even remember the name! I was aiming for lots of storage space for my simming fun! I use in game camera and then edit them with Photoshop!
Wow! You're a true sims fan for playing 2 all the way to 4! I've only played this one. Good to know you'd used Photoshop! I thought why my objects look so different!
To sum up, I was happy to know that you guys took lots of time to build, I thought I built too slowly. And thanks again for taking time replying to my questions. Wish you guys happiness and happy building!
1. I'm an insomniac. It depends on the build. Sometimes I'll go 8-12 hours at a stretch and finish a build and then come back later and decorate it, or not. Sometimes I'll spends a few hours on a partial build and then come back and knock out a couple in one sitting.
2. Not anymore. I never got any downloads using CC, so now I build with none. I have to say, it's much more challenging when your palette is so limited and you can't always get things the way you want. Sometimes I'll spend hours on a build and come to the trim and get to a point where I think no one at EA communicates with each other, due to so many trim colors not matching and I wish I could use my CC again and demolish the entire lot. Then I weep and move on.
3. I build, most of the time, to upload to the Gallery. If people are hitting on a certain type of build, I'll build more.
4. How long is a peice of string?
5. Nope. I use The Google for interior design ideas, based upon the type of build I am creating.
6. I built mine 6 or 7 years ago.
Try your hand at it. You can look up blueprints online and play with them. We are limited in certain aspects that can happen in real life, but no one says you can't change what you see, to make it fit for your needs.
Sorry I didn't see yours until you pointed it out. To be honest, I didn't expect to receive that many answers. I thought people here are busy sharing. Googling for ideas is good one. But you built your own computer? That's so cool!
@OphiuchuserRules LOL all good. I wanted to make sure you saw all the answers you were seeking, for variety. It does seem like there are some great people in these forums who are happy to share ideas and help each other. One of the better forums, in gaming, that I have seen.
Yes! I have been building PCs for myself and others for 27 years now. Moreso in the past, but I still do it, from time to time, when people ask. In fact, I just finished a proposal for a monster laptop for someone.
Henry VIII Eatery & Pub is a very lovely restaurant and pub! @Taoron Very nice exterior design and the Tuder patterning and windows is very nice! Very nice furnishing and layout of the interior! The basement pub area and the three seating areas for the restaurant are very nice! I have posted about your build on your showcase thread.
@Taoron your Tuscan/Mediterranean Home is very lovely and very lovely detail! Your Henry VIII Eatery & Pub is beautiful, the design is lovely! @luckyheather your Happy Llama Park is creative and very lovely, the detail is awesome!

'Henry VIII Eatery & Pub'
Older build I did with CC and just went back and 'fixed' after my CC purge. I think I got everything fixed and rebuilt it back to it's former glory.
