Food resetting on public lots

I downloaded a McDonalds from the gallery and made some burgers so people could pick them up and eat them. I've returned to the lot a few times since making them and the burgers tend to keep regenerating.
I also had a wedding at a venue I downloaded and I made some Cupid Juice drinks, flirty heart cookies, strawberry & vanilla cupcakes for the guests to eat just because I thought they would be cute. I'm holding another wedding right now at the same venue and my treats have reappeared fresh and unspoiled. To put it into perspective, it has been over one real life week since I have held a wedding here. What gives?
