Looking for input on how to incorporate Vampires into the Rosebud Challenge
Starting with a Vampire on an empty lot could lead to a very short challenge.
Any ideas?
I wonder if the coffins and be put in the sim's inventory? Like a tent? If so then possibly the vampire sim could sleep indoors(library, etc) during the day time before venturing out into the night to collect things. I think they can sleep on benches and such as humans.
Maybe a "safe house" could be created and uploaded to place on the home lot for sunlight protection. Or a "blue print" with instructions and an "allowance" could be put in your guidelines. Or maybe this "safe house" was passed down through the years from generation to generation for just such an emergencies.
@EuphorialQueen I was wanting to start my sims on an empty lot in Newcrest and them move them to Forgotten Hollow once they could afford the cheapest lot there. I see in the rules you have to stay on your original lot. Should I just wait until I get the vampire game pack and start in Forgotten Hollow?
Yes you may start in Newcrest and move when your Sims have enough earned. With the addition of San Myshuno and Forgotten Hollow the guidelines will be updated to allow moving.
Our brother and sister team have started the Rosebud Challenge in a small lot in Newcrest.
Collecting, skilling and taking care of needs are keeping them busy.
After a few days, Tori informs Greg that she has purchased an empty lot in Forgotten Hollow and to pack up their belongings. They will be moving in the morning! "Are you insane, Tori?" replies Greg. "Dear brother, you know I am." giggles Tori.

I'm going to have to get back to my family too! Lol! I can't even remember where they were at with their lives!
I'm also restarting my legacy, fell majorly out of love with that. But I have a new idea I'm working on, hopefully real life doesn't get in the way again!
Housing and spouse/move in another Sim:
Requires walls, a door and a window. Plumbing of at least one toilet and a sink. Fridge for quick meals. Sleep spot for each Sim. Would you move in with a person living on an empty lot?
If you have a vampire household and they have a withered stomach would a fridge be required? If they are moving in a Vampire? What if it's a human?

Vampires are a new experience for us all and we are all learning together. I would say unless a Non-Vampire Sim would be living in the household a refrigerator would not be required. However a fridge may be preferred for entertaining 'guests'.

I just opened the game and oooo the nostalgia! I forgot how much I loved their garden!
I am playing it to get some story and screenshots to try and finish it. I remeber I had a problem with my save and so I am pretty sure the money got messed up. But I can't remember so I am just going to play on from here, it's just going to take me a little longer.
Look who showed up and with the welcome wagon...Caleb! So very handsome sim, he is. So friendly......
He called Greg a few days later and invited him to stop by his home......he had something he wanted to ask him. Greg brought Tori along for a distraction. He was a bit creeped out by the whole world.
Caleb has such a soothing voice and gorgeous eyes. Greg listen to the stories he told of his long life.....saw his super strength...the wealth he and his friends shared.....how wonderful his life seemed. Caleb said Greg could have all this too....he just needed to give up one small thing.....his mortality.
Tori was ecstatic when Greg told her about Caleb's invitation. He knew she has wanted to move to Forgotten Hollow to be near the immortals. She became so peculiar when she aged to teen and he knew her insane trait led her down dangerous paths but the more she talked the more sense she made. Maybe it was his surroundings, the town is so dark, or maybe it was the community in FH. They both spent time with the neighbors and listened to their stories and researched the local lore on the net and read the ancient books Caleb told them to buy.
Greg was such an inquisitive person, had been since he was a toddler. Biting sims was something he wasn't sure he could do but then Caleb reminded him of the plasma fruit and the way fish and frogs could be used to survive if he found sim's not to his liking. After much thought, Greg decided to let Caleb take him on the journey of his lifetime. He understood that Caleb would be his Master now. While his parent's gave him life....Caleb gives him eternity.
Greg didn't even feel the bite. He just felt....ugggggg....sick. Caleb assured him it would soon pass but there was one more thing he must do to complete the transformation.
Greg must drink from Caleb.
Greg's sickness lasted what seemed like weeks but it was only days. Immediately food tasted foul and his head swam. Caleb told him to rest and be patient......all he had was time now.
Greg felt so strange! Wonderful....strong...hungry.....actually starving and he had a feeling fruit, fish and frogs weren't going to be enough. Caleb reminded him there was still much to learn and not to forget there were deadly dangers out there....even for the Undead.
Very little funds at this point....I guess I need to focus on making some simoleons
@EuphorialQueen Would you rather I just put a link to my story thread here instead of the actual post?
@Buttonsginger
Updates here are great! Love your story. As far as Simoleons go I have been so intent on keeping my newly turned Vampires alive I forget to look at their money.
Just started this challenge today, almost at one full sim week and she's already at $5000!! Working within the science career has really helped with collectables as once the work meter is full I have my founder, Betty Berger, out collecting and once she arrives home selling what she's gathered. Plus fishing, which I realized is a perfect hobby for the science career as it helps her with breakthroughs.
I've got pictures but planning on posting them on my blog later when I have time. I've got my G2 driving test tomorrow and then my ultrasound the next day so maybe Thursday after class.
Also didn't know but you can collect dragon fruit while fishing at the park in Willow Creek. A part of the park I didn't even know exsisted!!
@Rubysim Welcome to the Rosebud Challenge
The Science career is my favorite to make money. Not only are there tons of things to collect the Simray is AWESOME!
I upgrade it as soon as I can to Transform all kinds of things. Some of the best stuff can be gained thru transformation and sold for profit.
Also didn't know but you can collect dragon fruit while fishing at the park in Willow Creek. A part of the park I didn't even know existed!!
Really? Did you catch them fishing or find some to harvest?

Ya I caught 4 while fishing, I didn't even know it was possible to attain the dragon fruit that way. Maybe only at that location is it possible as I've never seen it before, I didn't even know that the Willow Creek park expanded that far with 3 fishing locations.
I love the science career, I never thought to try to SimRay to transform objects but I'll definitely now

I think my sims are somewhere around 25,000 simoleons....greatly helped by moving in a sim who brought along a 20 grand chunk of change
