Added to first page: What I learned testing this challenge: Adding in random order
Plan ahead for multiple generations.
Keep number of Sims in the household at a manageable number for each generation.
More Sims means more food and resources consumed and less bankroll.
Remember to concentrate on making as much income as possible per generation.
More possessions means higher bills.
Keep only the minimum items / aspiration rewards needed and sell the rest.
Higher quality beds, plumbing, appliances and computers will contribute to your success.
Gardening is very time intensive and requires a lot of work.
Scout out where to find a few choice items to harvest in the wild and keep gardens small to supplement recipes and sell for income.
The topiary object can be used to gain gardening skills.
Potions and extra traits can be your friend - if you earned them you can use them.
Save a few Simoleons (and space) on Baby/Kid items. Unless adopting a baby a crib is automatically supplied by the game.
Once the baby becomes a child the crib can be sold.
I know I started this challenge, but I am actually in a sims 3 apocalypse challenge tournament. So I have been playing that heavily. My question is if you marry someone in, is their money keepable? I don't know if I missed that in the rules.

Hello After the initial drop to Zero § all funds earned or brought in via marriage or adding via the 'Ask to move in' action may be kept.
Been working through a wonder child challenge story but I'm hoping to get back to Farrah soon. Wish there weren't so many things to do with my Sims! Lol
Cully I have been reading your stories and they are really well written. I laughed pretty hard at the caption, "it s. ucks to be me" LOL. I hope you are writing a blog for your Wonder child story. I would like to read it.

I started writing my wonder child story and realised that the way it's appearing is more like a short story, rather than diary entries, so it'll probably be like that. Released in one go, or only a few chapters
I am really enjoying reading the stories. I get so wrapped up in playing I forget to take pictures.
Having more than one save / challenge (for me) could get confusing. It does provide variety and keeps the game fresh and interesting.
This is the only challenge I am doing at the moment and have generation six children bring groomed to take over. I think it is generation six ... without a family tree it is hard to keep track.
Regardless I am now at §671,271 of §1,000,000 and getting hopeful to meet goal.

I usually forget to take photos as well. If I get too focused on photos I begin forgetting to play the game! Basically my two stories are legacy ones (particularly if this takes six generations...) just different rules.
I've done an asylum challenge recently HERE and my Wonderchild one (in progress) but I use them as a quick break from the big ones! When I don't want to feel I have to document each incident! Lol! Just get on and play!

I've added 2 sims into my household as spouses. Each came with 20,000 simoleons. I think I'm somewhere around 50,000 simoleons toward our goal. Making progress, slowly but surely.
Looking forward to catching up on your new blog update.
Played a bit last night and have 680,330 Net Worth. WooT! The microscope and telescope are great for autonomous use. The prints created during their use can bring in a nice chunk of change. I am now juggling 8 Sims in my household. That includes two teens and one child (soon to be teen). I briefly considered getting jobs for the teens. But having them do other things seems more productive and lucrative. I hope all of you are having fun. As I get closer to goal I am already formulating a strategy for my next go around. ♡

Ooh! This sounds like a fun challenge! I need more time in the day to play all of these awesome challenges, eek!
Glad you like it. @ImaginingMystic I agree ... there are so many I would love to play and not enough time. That only means I will always have something new to try.

I know! I've just spotted another one I'd like to try! Living off the Grid! No time! Or perhaps if I got several computers I could play them at the same time!
