My update gets to 100% then automatically pauses and I get a notification saying download failed. I tried cancelling and updating several times, but it just does the same thing over and over.

Grr.. the game says it is all set and ready to play, but then I try to play and it says I must install the update first. Try to install update and then it says the game is up to date and ready to play. Gah...I just can't win.
I also have a problem and dont understand if i should do what others are saying. So, i was going to play the sims 4 when Orgin needed an update. It went through the first updating process fine, but when it got to the second step, it crashed and never opened the game. :/ So pretty much the orgin update stopped in the middle of the update, and crashed. I cant even get into orgin. Im on an acer laptop, and use windows 10. PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Hello @xKawaiixPotatox
Try shutting down your computer completely. Start the computer again, then try logging into Origin, and see if that helps.
If the issues remain, try uninstalling and reinstalling origin.
okay, I tried my computer on and off, but its still not working. By uninstalling orgin do you mean deleting it and reinstalling orgin from the EA website? Also if I uninstall it will it delete the sims?? I just need reassurence please and thank you.

Hello
I meant to uninstall the origin program , then download and reinstall it from the Origin website.
If you uninstall it, it won’t affect /delete your sims, save game files or The Sims game at all. You are only uninstalling and reinstalling origin, not the Sims game.
Okay, thank you! Sorry for asking so many questions. Thanks!!
You’re welcome You don’t need to be sorry at all for asking questions! It is good to ask questions when you have queries. I am sorry that you have had this issue with Origin
Hello
I will repost here what I wrote on your wall
You need to have logged into Origin whilst in online mode, then put it into offline mode whilst you are still online. Try going to a place that has free wifi such as a library, log in, and whilst online, put your game into offline mode.
Well, here I am again with another problem. When i was reinstalling orgin, everything was going good, untill I could not open OriginThinSetup.exe. I made it administrator, which helped a little bit, I got a new thing that said 'Would you like this app to make changes to your device?' I clicked yes, knowing Origin is safe, but yet, it still was not installing orgin. Someone please help me. Thank you, A Kawaii Potato :3

Hello
Try cancelling the origin set up. Then shut down your computer completely. Restart the computer and try to install it again.
If you still are unable to reinstall Origin, try clean booting the computer and installing it then https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/how-to-clean-boot-your-pc/
Hello,
I am here with a similar problem. Could not install the latest origin update so my TS4 opened but I was offline. ok, I wanted to fix that so I called EA help center. The first person asked me to delete my old version of origin and install the new one. I was told the steps to remove origin the hard way cleaning all traces of the previous version. So I did that and now origin will not install AT All. I have no access to The Sims 4 and nobody in EA center was able to help me. I talked to 6 different persons , each had different ideas, nothing helps.
So my question is like that... can I get my money back for the stuff I bought through origin which is TS4 plus some packs which means a substantial amount of money. What do you think?
