They really need to fix this. I miss Sims knowing which bed is theirs to sleep in. They just sleep in whichever bed they want!
My sims seem to know what beds to sleep in. Haven't experienced anyone getting in the wrong beds yet. However, I think locking doors is greatly needed. My stroppy teenager who likes being alone is constantly being invaded when his parents crowd into his tiny room for no reason at all. It's really annoying.
I don't have sims randomly come in, but they will stand outside the door until they're asked to leave. Even if they say they're leaving, they'll just stand outside.
I'm hoping that now that Build Mode can clearly identify what is and is not a 'room', that soon we will be able to set privacy settings for certain rooms. For example, my Secret Agent's spy room should be something only he can access, and likewise it'd be nice to have settings so that he can also claim a room (such as a bedroom or bathroom) as his.
Sims keep walking through the door like they're ghosts without being invited in. It's very annoying.
The routing is much improved, but one of my Sim's friends walks in the back door, through the living room, out the front door...then turns around and knocks on the front door.

Well, some people complained that no one ever came over in Sims 3 so their Sims were isolated -- this is taking steps in the other direction.

I agree. That is so needed. One of my sims keeps walking in on another one at the worst time. They end up getting embarrassed, and its so annoying. They need to give us the ability to lock and unlock doors for individual sims, along with other things, like getting rid of mailboxes on community lots.

I have a couple that show up unannounced -- there's the one that I mentioned earlier that goes through the house to knock on the front door (LOL), then there's Mitchell Kalani who my Sim was romancing briefly before hooking up with her current husband and now they're "just friends" who shows up a lot.

One of the Gurus have already said that they are highly considering adding family trees. However the family tree won't fix the who sleeps where and why. The sims already knows who is their mother, father, grandpa etc, they just don't have a family tree.

I still hope they add family trees through, and I hope its via a patch and not an expansion pack. That's something that does definitely need to be in the base game.
My next door neighbor walked in the house uninvited, went directly to the bathroom and opened the door on my Sim who was taking a shower. The neighbor immediately turned around and walked out of the house. My Sim came out of the shower with the embarrassed moodlet.
I have not had the problem of people walking through doors. But I have an issue where a sim is using the bathroom and another sim will just randomly walk in there. I hate this! So locking doors would be great!
Locking the door is necessary. But will it keep the hecklers away? That always bugged me in TS3 - those accursed hecklers giving my sims negative moodlets even though they'd done nothing to deserve it.
I am a perfectly decrepit withered old hag who enjoys self-mockery.

I laugh whenever I see it, i love SciFi so the time travel part is a woot.

We need a patch so we can add and delete mailboxes on community lots.
