It really comes off as just wanting out money and not giving a rat's a** about the quality of the product. Costumers don't pay for flawed stuff and eventually, they will stop and think - they deserve to get the best out of their purchase with their (for some) hard earned cash.

I agree completely. I understand they'll get more money if they keep making CC but if the base game is unplayable (as it is for me and many others atm) people are going to be discouraged from buying anything. I only have Get To Work and one other I can't remember, but I'm refusing to buy any more until the bugs that make the base game useless are fixed.

Another thing... TS4 staff are taking a long time making all this CC. I understand the game is more complicated but really? No pets after 3 years of the base game being released? Maybe they learnt their lesson with TS3 and now know not to make too many add-ons as people lose interest after a while if there are too many that are kind of pointless... I mean, the Katy Perry Sweet Treats is one pack I know I could have done without.
    Just my opinion though!

Another thing... Why do sims take so long to turn up to things/don't turn up at all?? By that I mainly mean caterers, musicians and mixologists. I recently had a wedding in my TS4 game but only the mixologist turned up (still slightly late but better late than never). The caterer and the musician were no-where to be seen. I couldn't hire another caterer as there wasn't an option but I hired another musician...again they didn't turn up. I had all the correct stuff (piano, oven, counters and fridge) but they didn't appear. In the end my groom had to cook the wedding cake and I only just got a gold award in time.

    Hello All.

I have been playing this franchise since the launch in February 2000, I have loved every facet if this game. I loved Sims 3, for the pets, laundry facilities, and spiral staircases.

I have noticed that with the current game, I am getting burned out fairly quickly because of the lack of building potential, The lack of realism (We have to do laundry IRL when taking care of our kids, why not let us do that in game?), Or not having pets to take care of if you didn't want to have children in game.

I'm really hoping that more interactive content is added soon, I really love this game!

**I almost forgot to add: the way adoption, pregnancy, and social workers (child removal) is handled in the Sims 4 is awful.

-The social workers need to come back. Those are real and they're important. That would also be an interesting career choice for a lot of people. Parents should receive a warning visit when the child BEFORE the child is taken away. ANY children taken from a played household should reappear in the world (in another persons) house. There should also be ways for a parent to REDEEM themselves and get their children back.

-Parental Rights and Abortion - These are real things. There should be an option for a sim to willingly give up their parental rights. It is CRUEL and strange that you have to ignore an unwanted baby to get rid of it. It is also unusual that a Sim can forcibly end their pregnancy during the first trimester. Again, do not give me depth like "trimesters" if you're not gonna do the work, Max. It's upsetting.

-The adoptions should have WAY more depth in terms of WHERE you are getting this magical child from (i.e. local, foreign country, etc.) and there needs to be way more of a wait period. It should take you about 4 days to receive your child (or a Sim week.)

-The pregnant Sims should a) be able to take vitamins or get extra moods/bonuses from being an ACTIVE, HEALTHY, and PREPARED parent. DO NOT make them read the same books over and over again. Show more insight, Max. You can do it.

@Tyranda, welcome to the sims forums :)
as far as laundry we did have a vote and I think we will have laundry, so many people that want different things. We have talked about pets to no end, so I think we may get pets as well soon.

I wonder if you have* get to work*, that way you can make yourself and bakery or any other type shop, that's always fun.
People get burned out when they do the same sort of family every time. So more packs you buy more choices your sims will have. you can try building your sims skills, and a lot of other fun things. and some fun jobs.
I at first did all family households, and when we got toddlers I also included them in the family. I was so crazy about our new toddlers I would watch them all the time and even while they sleep so I can be there to feed them on time.
Teens were there but did little as a teen, then we got parenting. That's good but it is kind of hard to me when I have two teens and both needed attention.

So to do something totally different I took Newcrest and made it with almost all the same homes. with 2 bedrooms each. also, I made 7 teen families for the houses. they were siblings mostly and also first cousins. 2 in each home. So no parents live there. no kids.
But each family do have at least one parent in the game. that way mom dad gives them keys to their apartments. and parents can come over and check on the kids. I also gave them nannies.
This makes for a less stressful town. making sure it's lots of fun things for them to do. also, teens hang out better in groups.
Also check marketplace for fun places for your sims, even for a teen, and also vacations for them.

I just made A vagrant, he is supposed to be homeless but he does have a small home in a different city. so he mostly just fishes, and sleeps at the Inn, in Downtown Wendenburg. Right now I am having fun with this one. who knows what I will come up with next. :)
we'll give you a full refund. Just make sure you make your request within 24 hours after you first launch the game, within seven days from your date of purchase, or within seven days from the game's release date if you pre-ordered, whichever comes first.

Looking at this thread in 2017 (obviously lol) and seeing how far TS4 has come. It makes me happy!

    A few things I wish would be fixed/changed/added is;

When I had my sims get married it didn't feel like an actual wedding. Sims didn't pay attention and didn't party. It seemed like a chore to host the wedding. It should be a fun thing.

More base traits. Yes I can get them from CC but I'm not a CC user.

Self-Employed sims. Like bloggers and such.

Bring Social Services & Robbers back.

Fix the Get To Work workers. Most of the time they just stand around not helping/working.

More careers. Everyday jobs. Work from home jobs too.

    Laundry stuff.

Sims 3 town view. I hate having to see the loading screen every single time. When we go to different towns then yeah have a loading screen but id love to have the town view like TS3.

But if anything i'd want to see the bugs be fixed.

Waiting for all packs to go on console.

We need pre-teens to bridge the gap that exists today. Physically, teenagers are practically young adults.

I was really excited when TS4 came out, I really love the animation and all the new expansion packs. I'm still waiting for some packs which I really hope will still be brought forward with TS4. I really love the new worlds being introduced in each new expansion pack, I really hope they will bring the world adventure forward with maybe like towns and citys in different countries and stuff. I'm really hoping they bring the sims 4 pets out soon, I love the horses though some work on the animation might help, and maybe introducing new pets like birds or maybe exotic pets? I also really hope sims 4 university life will happen because i think it really adds to the game. But the thing i really wanted to put a suggestion forward for was sims supernatural. I've seen both sims 2 and 3 supernatural and i thought this would really bring sims 4 supernatural up a level. It's focussing on the were wolves because it's something I love but have never been fully satisfied with. My suggestions are:
    - to have not only a were wolf human type form but a full wolf form as well that you can design. You wouldn't be able to change your wolf form after you've designed it. You'd be able to go around in this form and do stuff.
-To have more detailed pack dynamics/ranking. To have an Alpha, males have to fight an Alpha to become one. A beta who is married to the Alpha. The omega's who are the other females in the pack. I thought that there could be a special relationship for pack members. For pack members fighting actually improves the relationship and sorts out someone's ranking in the pack. A second to the Alpha is the next most dominant wolf. I thought all females in a pack could be really close and when they have babies the child treats all the females like mums and they all help out. Children who grow up in the pack are like brothers and sisters.
    - Rival packs. I thought one pack would automatically have a bad relationship with another pack. An alpha can fight another alpha and win their pack.
    - No limit to number of pack members
-Can buy large pieces of land with houses for the whole pack to run and live.
-Being a a were wolf is a secret. To have the members have to not change in public or anything. And if a sim gets too tense or stressed or angry they can have an uncontrolled change. Uncontrolled changes happen more to young/ new wolves.
-Changing a person. Changing a person can only happen when they are not in public. It is a gamble if the sim will survive the change. If a sim wants to get bit they have to find where a pack meets and provoke the alpha. A person can marry an Alpha then ask him to change them. I f a person falls in love with a pack member the pack member can ask the alpha to change them but it can only happen after a certain level of romance. A partner doesn't have to be a werewolf to be in a relationship with one but they do have to swear to secrecy. But they also automatically become part of the pack werewolf or not.
Thanks for listening. I thought a lot about this and asked for input form my may sim playing friends. This is a mixture of what they all said they'd love to see in the future.

I would like to be able to post a new topic without having 50 points (I was reading somewhere that was what it took to get that ability). Like posting bugs and what not shouldn't require that.

Can we get more tattoos? Maybe even different areas of the body too like leg and stomach tattoos. I feel like the tattoo selection is so small it makes me sad and it could easily be expanded.
Pretty please with a cherry on top.

    Improvement to Sims4:

Provide an ACCEPT/DECLINE option for followers like in Sims 3. I have 113 followers, 50 are anonymous and the other 53 DO NOT talk to me. So, what are they doing, these anonymous followers? I never had a problem with paranoia till now.

Provide a no comments button for ALL PLAYERS. I have been insulted, harassed, accused, and had 4 letter words flung at me through the comments in my profile and Gallery rooms.

Okay so I have been playing the sims since it started. I really believe instead of taking a step forward they have took so many back. I am a truly disappointed fan.

    Things I like
    - Character Design
    - House items and furniture
    - Graphics, and socialisation

    Things I dislike
    - There isn't enough content or things to do - I played the sims 3 for hours, and most days, unfortunately the Sims 4 lasted 1 hour and i switched it off due to boredom.
    - Expansions are very basic they could have done more with them
    - Packs ... most of the items in the packs were included in big expansion packs or the base game. I feel like it is just for money and over priced and not for fans.
    - The world is very small and basic i would have hoped they had kept to an open world like the Sims 3 to improve the sims 4 as whole.

Recommendations: Maybe introduce the world to become an open world, introduce more fun packs which include pets, holidays. weather etc

At the moment I am a lost fan now. I no longer buy sims 4 items as they are extremely boring, even though there is a lot of effort gone into character creation.

Hey there. Love the game so far. One thing that could make it so amazing though, would be being able to see the decorations such as paintings and upper cabinets, while remaining in the cutaway view. This could be added as a game option. So far I'm only able to view decorations that are on the outer walls. I like to heavily decorate my sims house. It could be a option too that when you get close to a particular room it shows 2 of 4 walls, thus showing your decorations you worked so hard to incorporate. If not, then what's the point of all these nice decorations?

And infants. Guess there's no chance for walking around the house with them?

All I want right now is for basement stairs to actually WORK with foundations! Either that, or allow split level building, i.e., let me have an outbuilding on flat ground with the home on a foundation. I can NOT get the stairs to my basement science lair to work because the house is on a foundation, and I want to keep the appearance of the home intact. I got it to work once, but then the lot became corrupted, and, for whatever reason, the stairs I had ALREADY BUILT weren't there when I placed the lot in a new neighborhood. This is ridiculously difficult for what should be a simple building task. It just WILL NOT PLAECE STAIRS IN

Could it be possible to get a minor thing as Eat Popcorn added to the get together club activities when you have movie hangout pack, i couldn't find the option anywhere it club activities. I would hate to add just eat because i know autonomous behavior will just make them eat, anything but popcorn which would kinda ruin the entire idea of having popcorn machine for movie hangout club event.

    Hello, simmer since Sims 2
    What you liked
-sims actually go to community lots when you go
-that you can swap between life ambitions very easily
-easy switch for generation simmers who have to manage multiple households
-in parenthood if you switch households the sims still gain progress in traits like 'empathy' etc
    -multiple romantic relationships
-wedding venue introduced in San Myshiuno
-the community to share, upload and download sims and houses is fantastic! never before has it been this easy and useful
-the 'rooms' come ready (sometimes you just aren't that creative!)

    What you didn't like
-not a dislike always but multitasking can make simply tasks like eating take forever,
-sims are just slow eaters in general, staring into nothingness....
-if my sims are busting for the bathroom, that bustin' walk only takes them 3x longer to get to one!!
-there is no 'eye view' camera on MAC
-switched a family, when the teen grew up and I wasn't there I found that he did not grow up and gained any of the parenthood traits just because I wasn't actively playing-there went my hard work!!
-when im in a different household and switch during school time or work I often find that my sims are missing work and school!!
-in San Myshiuno when there is a festival in my town I can't 3x because there are people about, but I'm not even at the festival adn they are not at my house!
-can't speed 3x if there are ghosts/maids/gardeners in the house
-miss teaching my toddlers how to walk!
-dead sims calling me... you're dead.. its cute at first, they're just not useful sims to manage as friendships
-STILL AFTER DEAD YOU ARE NO LONGER 'MARRIED' to your wife/husband, then on the family tree they look split up!
-still no FULL view of family tree (of all sides of the family)

    Suggestions?
-when 'splitting the household' (like when kids grow up) can decide how much money is allocated to each household rather than the standard 20k. Children of my richer sims would be able to have a much better life if they could have more money when they move out
    - This is quite a specific one, but I wish that, for example
if I started with a life ambition (I think its called party animal) where the first thing he sims needs to do is meet sims. Then I briefly switch to a different ambition, say athletic body, if I then met a sim in that mean time it wouldn't validate it for the party animal. in other worlds I wish it was easier to multi-manage this
    -part-time jobs
-miss the little movies from sims 2
-less creative woohoo places (like the shower!)
-pets and seasons are just a iconic must
-cemetery where you can place your own household's graves,
    -hot tubs please!
-witches in sims 2 where divine!

    Overall thoughts?
-very smooth running game, easy to use. however, there is something about it that is not quite there about each sim as it was in sims 2. Perhaps it feels slightly superficial. Missing the idea of 'chemistry' between Sims.

That is why in my game I turn the death toggle off. No aging, no aliens and no Sims' death. I avoid so many problems with this type of game play. Plus, I never go anywhere with ghost.

    Hello everyone!
I just want to bring up a small disruption I find in the game, that kinda drives me crazy.. As awesome as it is that we can go to restaurants and go on dates.. I don't understand why, if my sim leaves to have breakfast at 10am, that she comes home from said breakfast at 4-5pm. lol I find that I have to reject dinners because it will take too long. I know the game time is sped up, and I'm sure you cant make the restaurants any faster, but could we possibly slow down time while we are eating at restaurants? that way we are there for 1-2 hrs, 3 at most?
PS. Why doesn't our date pay for the meals too, PFF :D
  • AlwaysTheSunAlwaysTheSun Posts: 388 Member
I would be so happy if they made non object infants! Why can't we wash them in a sink like we could in The Sims 2?
I need something to change worlds. I just can't stand colourful districts in San Myshuno.. I want to get rid of those stained glass...
