So it may be one or may not! I think it's hard to tell, specially since they don't confirmed anything and even if they would confirm, we already know that "things change". Anyway I really hope they do add a World tool! It would be awesome, specially since we have such small worlds XD

You are right! Sims3 was released on June, 2009 and The Create a Sim Tool was released in Dec, 2009 so just 6 months not a year! I just quoted the interview so I can't say why Graham said 1 year, it's pretty odd now that you pointed this out! I checked the original interview in Portuguese, just to make sure it wasn't a problem with the translation, but it also says a year in there. If this is correct, then Graham did miscalculated it per half a year.

Oooh I've been wondering since I don't want to bulldoze everything and make my own copy when I can just make a world
He may have been thinking of the World editor which came out right after Ambitions - so that took a year. That allowed simmers to add their own lots and add content to the world area around the lots.
