Hello everyone, welcome to The Sims 4 Mods forum!
You may have seen our recent blog post about modding and The Sims 4.
We are very excited to see what kind of mods and custom content you all create for The Sims 4. We’ve already seen some great stuff created for The Sims 4 Create A Sim Demo and can’t wait for you to get your hands on the full game.
The Sims community has always been extremely supportive and helpful to each other, so we hope that these forums will be a place for the community to discuss mods and help each other out.
And to assist those of you who create custom content tools and mods, we will be providing some technical documentation with best practices as well as specifications of a few of our data formats. This will not be full documentation about everything in the game, but will contain some key information that you should find useful. This documentation will be posted in this forum in the near future.
In addition to the documentation, you can expect to see posts from Maxis gurus in the forum from time to time. Keep in mind that we programmers are a busy group, so our ability to respond will be limited. But we will be monitoring the forum and your feedback will be seen even if we do not always respond.
These are the first Maxis hosted modding forums and we hope is the beginning of something great for the modding community. Thank you for your creations! We appreciate the hard work you put into them. The team is amazed and humbled by your creativity and we look forward to what comes next. Thanks!
