    Whats preloading?

    Noobish question but does anyone know what preloading is

      If you order the game through Origin, they are giving you the option to go ahead and load the game early so when it's released you don't have to sit and wait for all of it to download. You can just load the remaining percentage and begin playing.

      i think it means if you have a digital copy of the game you can start downloading it before release. itll stop at like 99% and then when the game is released you can continue the 1% download to be able to install faster

      Going gold is when the game is ready to be put on disc. It's basically a dev stage when the game is ready enough to ship.

      By the way I like all your Jinx images!
      Hoping some day for some toddlers. But also dreading they'll never come. JK THEY ARE HERE!

      Thanks! And as a related side note going gold doesn't mean development is finished so we can very well expect a day one patch. Unless it's bundled in the preload already. Disc versions may have to patch.

      no :) it just means the game is ready to be pressed onto discs to be packaged and sent to the distributors eb games etc. :)

      I appreciate the niceness in this thread. I dislike that many of these threads seem to turn out negative, even when the OP is polite and abiding by the Forum Rules.
