@spreadsheet team - I will stay clocked in unless someone else wants to take over. I won't be able to update right when the next deal changes since I will be teaching, but will update it within an hour of the change. :)
I updated for Provence. I am on my way out very soon.

    Thanks, Jodi. :)
a.k.a. Samantha (though Sam is just fine, too. Also, Simmantha, according to my husband.)

Thanks to a lot of amazing sim friends I have owned the store for a while now. If you'd like to help out a really good friend of mine who just started playing the game, here is his wishlist. Thanks!

Thank you everyone for all the awesome advice!! I am going to add the mod today. Also it might have been due to the fact I only had 3 gigs of hard drive space left. The hd on this is only 99 gigs so I am working on getting rid of pretty much everything else but the sims now. I have 8 gigs free now but still am trying to find more.
The fact that you have so little free is going to slow programs down quite a lot. I would definitely consider getting a bigger hard drive, and you should see an improvement in the way things run. You can get 500 GB drives relatively cheaply, and even 1 TB or 2 TB drives if you want. While 4 TB drives are available if you can afford it, do NOT get a 4 TB drive as your system drive. Your motherboard will only be able to see 2 TB of it; the rest will be wasted.

Oh I know the space is an issue...this crappy laptop is 8 years old. The one in the shop...my lovely baby decided to barf up it's motherboard. It is 3 years old so they don't make them any longer...I have to get the final diagnosis hopefully sometime tonight. We are not 100% sure what is wrong.

I can't afford a new mb, hard drive, or anything else so it is sort of a moot point. I am going to try to get it to run on here, it used to so I need to do those mods and see if that helps. I also hit save and quit instead of save as, so will try that instead too. I am not sure how much bigger hard drive this laptop can do anyway. I wish I could use a desktop but with my disabilities there is no way.

@sweet2, thanks for the heads up. I went ahead and got it, even though I've never been able to play SimCity. Too complicated, or something. Maybe I'll have better luck this time.
Remember: Wherever you go...there you are.

One day, my wishlist turned into Own the Store, and there was no more wishlist. How remarkable.

@wittanthony1 I hope you feel better soon!

@Pixieydust So sorry you're dealing with all these computer problems. I had to deal with computer issues not all that long ago myself. It's so aggravating.

Happy Birthday @Niralyn! Hope you're having a great one! :)

Don't know if it's been mentioned yet ( just skimmed through the thread, :sleepy: ) but for those interested, SimCity 2000 special edition is currently the free game on origin

Thank you for the heads up @Sweet2! Downloading! :)

You may call me Danielle or KittyKat, whichever you prefer, I like them both :P

Ok. I can stay clocked in pretty late tonight. No appointments in the morning tomorrow and now that my lessons are over I can pay more attention to the spreadsheet! :)

@Pixieydust, I tried to come up with an easy explanation for using Flickr for posting chat pics (you have beautiful drawings up there!), but it doesn't appear to be easy unless you are good at hand editing code. I use photobucket and it sure is much easier to use, when you're doing one finger typing on a kindle!

OH, I was just at Origin, to check for free deals. Today the free Origin game is Complete Sim City 2000 Special Edition. I've never tried any Sim City so I grabbed it. Have really been hoping for a SimPoint sale.

At the TS3 Store - - Today I completed a few cascades, but I noted that when I used "Make Me an Offer" tool, there were some problems. Some of the things I already owned were in the offers today -- it pays to look at the pages for each offer... And as usual, several offers were less than 10% off, good grief. But I did score 33% off on Sunlit Tides - Gold. I don't usually see that much discount on a gold world so I nabbed it. Happy! happy!! but it sure made a hit on my simpoints. (Still hoping for a holiday simpoint sale.)

Happy Birthday to all the birthday 'kids'! And I hope all of those dealing with awful pain right now, will be feeling better soon. I know that for some of us, those sort of challenges are ongoing but it's great that we have friendly cyber support here. Feel free to friend me on my TS3 page if you are inclined, and we can keep in touch that way too.

I hope those uncooperative computers get back into shape soon.

    Take care all!

Oh, my goodness, it's taken me forever to catch up on reading these posts! But I've done it and now want to thank @Sweet2, @rnramey, @MiaSkywalker, @Radlee, @fan00123, @Pugslover4, @wittanthony1, @Tahera, @KittyKat8103, @notthecar, @Pixieydust, and @SemaviLady for the birthday wishes!

Vielen Dank für deine Glückwünsche für mich, @awellenbl! (I hope I said that correctly, though I am wondering if it is more correct to say "an mir" instead of "für mich"? For some reason, it seems like my brain wants to use "an" instead?)

Special thanks to @bekkasan, @trithone, @simgeek79, @despina53, @KittyKat8103, and @awellenbl for the gifts. I've posted on your Sims 3 My Pages, too, though I wasn't able to thank you on your My Page directly, @simgeek79, though I've now requested to be your friend so that I can!

It's those garden gnomes. They are EEEEvil. (Seriously, I find them to be quite creepy.) I can't be the only one here who remembers this happening in-game.

Or finding one watching your sim shower... I think they are weeping angels in disguise.
Yes. Yes! Yes!!! I always thought the gnomes were creepy - Weeping Angels explains everything. Do they feed off the bad vibes when your Sims kick them?
Of course, in most cases Dr. Who explains everything. Period.

This made me laugh, so I had to show my husband this, since we've watched all the available Dr. Who on Netflix. (Well, of the reboot since 2009)
I also showed him the Shiny Happy Sani-Sim song by @Cogitoro. :> (Since there's no decent laughing emoticon here.)

@notthecar, @Me1620, @MiaSkywalker, @Nonsequitorian, @simgeek79, @kuroi_nekomata I'd love to get in some SimPort action but it won't be until next week, I think. I wish there wasn't the time limit thing for SimPorting.

Thank you to @KSkywalker4571 for the excellent explanation of the canning process with the premium content canning station. I haven't tried it yet, but have a much better idea now.
I also appreciate @trithone and @MiaSkywalker's save game advice. Very helpful suggestions.

I'm glad to hear everything is okay with your daughter and the baby, @Pugslover4.

I'm sorry to hear about the motherboard woes, @Pixieydust. :disappointed:

So glad to hear that the Desperate Housewives was part of a healing process for you, @JennaIsGhost. Sometimes it comes from unlikely sources!

EDITED to add a few thank yous!

    You are welcome @Niralyn. :D

I think it would be "an mich" actually.

Also those Weeping Angels are incredibly creepy and the gnomes can be a bit like that, but not quite as much. If they were I would have to get rid of them completely. I sometimes scare rather easily.

Thank you so very much Semavilady!! I am going to go with photo bucket tomorrow. It seems like it is much easier. I need easy! LOL Thank you for the complements everyone on my drawings...I have hundreds, so I will upload what I have saved on my facebook wall. Sadly the others might be lost. I was getting ready to back things up but then it crashed...died...lol sad sad...

I hope everyone is having a good evening. I have spent the day deleting files that were empty and now am defragging my laptop. It seems it is 44% fragmented. When it is over I should have gained 32 gigs of room so that would be wonderful!! Then tomorrow I will install those mods to help the game run that everyone has talked about like error trap and master control story progression are the important ones..oh and that saving one too. I am going to do everything I can to get this running.

I have not drawn in weeks..>I am hoping this will help me gain a bit of my happiness back. Things have been hard.

I found I was becoming too scared in some first person shooter games with aliens ambushing me. At least in Sims that doesn't happen - the alien abductions are very tame.

I was able to finish Country Livin' last night, which gave me April 2011. I'm down to a dozen sets, four venues, and a couple of worlds. Right now, seems I have some of every set left, so all the MMAO offers are totally off - even 30 or 40% off a set puts it back at my current price. Have to keep patiently waiting for DD list.
    Wish list free since 2015-02-23

I did buy the bunny pjs....even if it was a high price I would have bought them because...well its a BUNNY!! They are my favorites!!

    Everyone have a lovely night!!

Sorry things have been so rough. Somehow computers seem to know when the worst possible moment is to break.

My last bit of advice is to ad the mods slowly, one at a time, and see how things run after each one. It is a slow process, but at least then you will know if one of the mods is causing any issues. Master Controller and Error Trap shouldn't be a problem, but Story Progression can cause a great deal of lag in the game because it spends so much energy and time processing all the townie sims. It didn't run well at all on my old computer. Everything froze up every few seconds. I like having it and seeing my sim's friends fall in and out of love, get jobs, and such, but it isn't worth the frustration of the laaaaaaaaaaag.
