Given what we have heard about a more "goal oriented" gameplay style in The Sims 4, I expect that we would be more likely to see something closer to WA than BV. In fact, the gameplay style sorta sounds like we will be seeing objective based play long before we see any expansions at all.
"UR" is NOT a word, it's the sound stupid people make when they try to spell "You are".
Bon Voyage was so much fun. I didn't really like World Adventures, but I did like the locations. It would be really nice to have world locations but with a more relaxed atmosphere of Bon Voyage. :)
Bon Voyage hands down. World Adventures was nice when you just got it and played it for the first couple days but then eventually you realised that it was actually very tiring and a lot of work for your sims not a relaxing vacation.
I loved the different dances and stuff you learnt with the bon voyage EP and the massages and saunas and stuff and the little travel stamps you collected for completing different activities. It was great cos it actually felt like your simmies were bonding while on vacation (especially families). Well that's my opinion anyway.
Bon Voyage. They should put the travel element of WA and the island resort element of IP into a vacation-themed EP. Likewise, the tomb-exploration element of WA and the underwater exploration element of IP should be put into an adventure-themed EP.
A combined one. Both have their pluses and minuses. I loved World Adventures more, there is more to do. Bon Voyage seemed a bit boring to me. I wouldn't send my sims on vacation twice in TS2. But it'd be nice to have them combined.
IF we get a new vacation/travel based EP, which would you rather have? A relaxing EP like Bon Voyage was, or an Indiana Jones-style one like World Adventures?
The question is what a vacation world would differ from the normal world. It is just a normal additional world added. The interactions and features inside that world is what matters.
Instead the new added world should have lots of tourism destination lots. something like Disney land, towers, water parks. Something to make the vacation very enjoyable
Everything I post is an opinion here and I think every post of others is as well.

I agree. A mixture of both would be very interesting

I love the tomb exploring in WA, but it lacked the "vacation" feel. I posted this in another thread on what I'd like to see:
If/When they do the Vacation pack, I'd like to see one of the destinations a cruise ship. Then you select your cabin like you do in S2 apt life.
Then the huge ship has a beautiful dining hall, a dance room, lounges, casino, etc. And it would be FULL of people to meet. And it might even stop at a couple of ports where you can buy unique things like jewelry, statues, art, clothing, etc.
It'd be great if they did something we haven't seen before. I suggested a cruise on the forums about a year ago (http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/list/721482.page), and was surprised to see that it was actually featured on a TS4 survey.
"It would be HUGE. Tons of activities and events to partake in, lots of new Sims to meet, restaurants, buffets, spa, large pools, hot tubs, huge pool slide, real functional hotel system, on-board sports, games that reward in tickets (similar to the seasonal festivals in TS3 Seasons), etc. "
On top of that, they could also throw in 3 vacation destinations that we dock at. The duration we stay at these locations can be controlled by us when we book the vacation.
I loved the Indiana Jones feeling of WA, but some quests were so buggy that I couldn't even finish like the plumbing Axe of Pangu. That drove me mad. I also really liked features like the Nectar making and all the antiques that I always used to decorate my house later, also all the different new fruits and fishes.
BV was not as exciting, well, meeting Big Foot was exciting . But it had the vacation feeling that WA lacked.
I would love to see a combination of both so we could choose depending on the Sim that we are playing and their personality whether they want some exploration and adventure or some peaceful relaxing vacation.
Edited: I forgot to say how much fun was the Martial Arts Skill!

I actually didn't expected that WA would be loved by just a minority! WORLD ADVENTURES is definetely my favorite Sims3 EP, it was so fun and exciting to actually get out of daily routine and have an awesome adventure! But I think it would be pretty cool to have an EP with WA and Bon Voyage all together, explore a bit the secrets of fantastical Tombs and have a family time Vacation next.

Lol XD
“It’s very dangerous,” she said, “falling in love with someone’s flaws.”
...Though even then I'd get bored and wish I was doing something interesting.
Not to mention I'm a slave driver to my sims and minus care about their feelings
