This season on The Mole, we will gather 16 unique sims from around the world and from all walks of life, and make them compete in this challenging reality show. As the players work together to complete missions that add points to a group pot, one of them, the Mole, will try everything they can to sabotage the games, while keeping their true identity hidden from the other players.
After each mission episode, the real life players take a 10-question quiz about the identity of the Mole. The player who scores the lowest on the quiz is eliminated from the game.
By the final episode, only 3 will remain: the WINNER, the runner-up, and the Mole.
In the end, the honor, the glory, and all the money (simpoints) will go to the one who can correctly answer the question....
Who is, THE MOLE?
This season's twist combines two elements commonly seen in reality shows... Duos, and a chance at Redemption.
The first half of the new twist this season is the introduction of duos; a concept never used in The Mole until now. Duos will work together, as they will be eliminated together. This adds a whole new element to the game, as it forces people to create coalitions and strategize with another player. You and your partner need to establish a good system of communication if you both want to survive.
Players will take the quiz individually, but the score of each partner is added together and whichever duo has the lowest score, that pairing is executed.
One contestant will, unknowingly, be matched up with the Mole. This contestant will in fact have a free ride for a good portion of the game, as the Mole cannot be executed. However, being forced to work with the Mole may just be detrimental (or very possibly beneficial) to their game play.
Duos are just the first half of this season's twist. More details on the Redemption part later.
Because of the introduction of the duos twist, you might want to reconsider your planned strategy. You’re playing for TWO now, not just one. You need to find a way to work effectively with your comrade, because you are both in it together. Some general strategies you could do are aligning with other duos, or perhaps just working together to seed out the Mole. You can go after the same suspects, or, maybe it’s smarter to each go after a different suspect for each quiz. All of that is up to you.
In general, remember that you WANT other people to think you’re the Mole, even when you’re not (except maybe your partner... Or perhaps not?). If you act suspicious, there’s a chance someone will suspect you, and thus, do bad on the quiz.
So I don’t recommend that you try your best on every single mission… Otherwise, people will begin to suspect you are innocent. But you don’t want that. You want people to think you’re guilty of the charge of being the Mole!
Now, you are probably wondering why the Mole just doesn’t do as horrible as they possibly can, not caring if everyone knows they are the Mole or not. But on every Mole Quiz, the last question is, “Who is, the Mole?” and for every time someone puts the name of the actual Mole, 10 points will be taken away from the Mole’s kitty, and added to the final group pot at the end, giving the winner of the season more points than the Mole. So this makes it so that the Mole actually has to sabotage “unnoticed”, or just enough sabotage that no one suspects them as the Mole.
An exemption is essentially immunity, so if win or earn one in a mission, then you are free from the next Mole Quiz, and are automatically safe! Some Exemptions will be hidden, so you have to find them or be lucky enough to stumble into one. But most exemptions will be known by everyone, and sometimes only certain players will be able to receive one.
REMEMBER: Most exemptions that can be received require the receiver to take points away from the pot. You may choose not to take the exemption, but players desperate for one will take it. Sometimes the Mole might even take an exemption, even though they are safe throughout the entire game, but that’s just because they are trying to take points out of the pot.
The purpose of these hints are to help the players/readers figure out who the Mole is, without having to watch their every move... of course, these hints are going to be extremely subtle, since, as you can guess, if they were obvious, everyone would find them, and then everyone would know who the Mole is, and that’s no fun!
So, if you think you've found something, it’s probably best for your own game to keep it a secret, or share it with your duo buddy.
The hints/clues will be strewn throughout the episodes, and sometimes even on this thread. So make sure to keep a good eye out for them! There will typically be more hints in Mission episodes than Execution episodes, but that doesn't mean the Execution episodes won't have any at all.
A DRE is a message you write in the perspective of your sim, which is told to the camera out of earshot from the other sims in the house. You can talk about the game (strategy, who you suspect as the Mole, the latest mission, etc) or anything, really- let your imagination run wild. These are very important to the storyline, because it gives your sim "character development" and helps me learn how you want them to talk and such.
At some point before making each episode, I will say, “No DRE’s past this point”, meaning please do not send one to me until after the episode is completed, otherwise, what you put in your DRE might conflict with what I have planned within the next episode.
When sending one in, make sure to put "DRE" in the title of the email. If you want it to be an ACTION diary room entry (meaning I physically show the scene in the episode, the sim doesn't just say it) then please say so in the email or title. If you want it to be an action DRE, make sure you don't "god mod" (control) someone's sim too much- remember, you can only control the actions of your OWN sim (for the most part).
(limit of two DRE’s per person for each episode)
There are 3 ways in which a contestant will be eliminated from the game:
1. Being executed in an Execution episode.
2. Quitting. (if you need to resign from the show, please email me telling me so)
3. Force-elimination. This season, I'm going to use a 3-strikes system. Once you get three strikes, you're out.
3-Strikes System
You get a strike if you...
-Don't send in a quiz before it is due (I'm pretty lenient with due dates here)
-Don't participate or contribute to a mission (there are exceptions)
-Don't post on the thread for over a weeks time
If you're going away on a trip or something, that's totally fine, just let me know. This is meant for contestants who simply become inactive (or are SUPER lazy :P)
Group Pot: 630
Mole's Profits: 970
Missed a season? That's okay! You can find them all right here! SEASON 1SEASON 2SEASON 3
Comments
This is a bonus mission! The purpose of this is to even out the pot.
Group Pot: 620
Mole's Profits: 960
That's 1580 total; I want to get to 1600. So this bonus mission will be worth 20 points
Below I have listed all 5 traits of only TEN contestants. You can automatically rule out three sims (Rachel, Taz, Sidney), but the other 3 left out could be anyone.
All you guys need to do is match each set of traits to its respective owner.
I need at least two of the three of you to agree on an answer before it counts.
Each correct answer adds 2 points to the pot.... Yeah, not a lot, but this mission is moreso meant to be fun than anything else
THE TRAITS
1) Diva, Dramatic, Paranoid, Coward, Insensitive
2) Evil, klepto, cat lover, flirty, lucky
3) Hopeless romantic, flirty, over-emotional, dramatic, loud

5) Funny, Childish, Adventure-seeker, Athletic, Center of attention

Alright, I think I'm done posting now. XD

Just played another game of ToS. Gotta say, I love being the Godfather. It's great watching the mafia win!

Not much action so far though. XD
Hey there!
Then welcome to The Mole! I hope you enjoy your stay.
Ahh Chanel! You just have to miss it by one more tribal council huh? Haha :P
I'm glad for siggies as well. :P Just need to come up with one now! Haven't had one in awhile.... :0 (LOL at your signature XD )
I hope they use the old format, which automatically resized any images and prevented them from being too big.
Haha, glad I got you hooked!
There will be a new episode out every Sunday. So check back next Sunday for episode 2!!
(in the meantime you could always check out any of the other seasons, if you're interested )
Okay :D
In my opinion, Diva, you should check out seasons 2 and 3 as these are really enjoyable seasons. Season One lacked of unique personalities while season 2 and 3 had a lot more personalities.
I know it was simulated, but I did a "woot woot" dance that Kia made it to Episode 9, but sadly... no immunity wins.
Thank you for suggesting what are the good seasons :D Off I go! Reading til' Sunday comes! :3
