The Sims 3 - 3DS - is it any good?

I have a nintendo 2DS (3DS), and just for fun I might pick up The Sims 3 or The Sims 3 Pets for my 2DS, but is it anygood?

I didn't like it. I got bored very easily. You're unable to have kids in the 3ds version of sims 3 and that's what I find the most fun about sims. If you're into like the social stuff and careers it may be for you but it's not for me.
Not sure about pets.
