      @BuildnShare So for the budget, should we include the initial cost of the house + lot as well as the cost of refurnishing? or just the total cost of the lot AFTER refurnishing?

      Just the total cost of the lot after refurnishing. It should be empty lot cost + final build cost. The total of these two amounts must equal 135,500.

      Not sure if this really matters in the grand scheme of things, but the header that's showing on the forum says the wrong challenge. It's also incorrect above the photo on the first page.

      Hi @BuildnShare --- I just uploaded my house and room for BnS 174 under the hashtag. Both are exactly on budget including the 2K lot price for the home. For some reason, after I playtested (it playtested), the value increased. I didn't make any changes after the versions that are uploaded, so the pictures will be accurate.
      So, I posted this anyway because it was about 25K or so over budget.
      These are done! :)
      §24,988 for the room
      §135,500 including lot price for the house. I’ll put it again in my entry form after I take screenshots.
      I didn't get to write a backstory, but will include it on both entry forms.

      My last entry bns173 My lot went over budget- so I entered "for Fun".
      In game even when I removed objects to lower the price- the price still went up. I don't know what's goin on there..

      Question for the old items in the house do we have to maintain original color? Some of the stuff I'd like to recolor to reuse.

      ENTRY DETAILS:
      The family requested a contemporary styled home decorated using a neutral color pallet with touches of purple. To achieve the contemporary style I removed all the previous roofing and changed the roof design which in turn gave the family extra deck space. I kept all the exterior walls in tact but added a few planter boxes (with purple lavender) and updated the windows and doors. The home is decorated with plenty of white, beige, and pale hardwood. I have painted a couple of the rooms a very pale purple and have added pops of purple throughout the house. I have turned what was originally the garage into a greenhouse for Valerie. I made sure to give Finn a blue bedroom and even added a red (fire) truck crafting table in the room. There is a small study on the main floor for Valerie to display her trinkets from her travels. I have also preserved as many items from the previous house as possible.
