My time for the game has been sketchy the whole week. I had to buy it on my way to work and didn't get an hour with it until after midnight that night. Rotten timing this week. But I am now diving in.
Ok, I got my group of roomies. Let us see what fun ensues...
Wait...slam on the brakes.
I did like playing these sims, but I found myself a little overwhelmed trying to learn about that game while dealing with four sims. I should have saw that coming. I think I better try one and come back to these ladies later.
Enter, Melonie, stage left.
"La ta tah ta..."
"Hey... What the...?"
"What's going on here?"
"I'm different!"
"And it's not only me, it's everything and everyone."
"I've got a feeling we're not in Isla Paradiso anymore."
"What is this place?"
"It's all so colorful and so...simplified... Vibrant! Yeah, that's the word."
"I feel like I have crossed over to toon town. Look at those clouds!"
"The last I remember, I was a mermaid living in an Island Paradise. Maybe I died and crossed over to the other side."
"Meh, let's roll with it. I'll just visit one of my neighbors here on the other side."
And with a knock, Melonie began her adventures in a new world.
"Hi, neighbor. I'm Melonie Bloom."
Melonie's neighbor seemed a little unsure for a moment.
The neighbor introduced herself as Riya Ramaswami.
It wasn't long before they were friends.
Melonie was famished by this time. She invited Riya over for lunch.
"I guess this is my house."
"You're not sure, Melonie?"
"Uh, I am having memory issues, Riya. My doctor said it will clear up eventually?"
"Head injury?"
"Uh...yeah."
"So... tell me about this neighborhood. It will help me recover my memories. Pretend like I know absolutely nothing."
"Alright, if it will help. You are in Willow Creek, a small southern town , not too far from a neighboring desert town, Oasis Springs."
"Tell me about the people."
"Oh, we have a collection of characters here. Everyone is down to earth. They don't hold back on their emotions and they are very animated about it."
After lunch, Riya wanted to take a selfie with Melonie.
"Oh my god! Look at me! I could get used to looking like that."
Melonie said goodbye to Riya. She was intrigued by this new world. What would she discover next?
Ok, so I am in with TS4. Still mixed, but still liking the new sims. I just wished half of this was accessible to me, not just the five homes on the river's curve.
You might have noticed that at some point the depth of field blur went away. I have a mod that gets rid of it. I may keep the mod. I am not sure yet, but I like being able to see into the distance. The textures on the edge of the world are simplified, but I can live with that.
I have more pictures to share. Feel free to discuss your exploration with the game.
Very cool! I've been excited to see what you do with TS4. Can't WAIT to see some of your builds too. I've really been liking it so far. There are a few things that irk me, but they're definitely in the minority of the scale.
EDIT - Do you mind sharing your Origin ID so I can follow you in the gallery?
I'm enjoying it so far, had to set my view distance down to increase my frame fate, and my game doesn't look half as amazing as yours, but I haven't encountered any major "omg why did I buy this game it's terrible. " feelings. I like it!

@CK213 So good to see this and you. Can't wait for more. For myself its the legacy route and still in early stage. Spent most of my week
with test sims and enjoying myself immensely .
"Every child matters. If we fail our children, we are bound to fail our present, our future, faith, cultures, and civilizations as well."
Hi, everyone.
This thread was derailed for a while as I began posting my TS4 experience on the TS4 general forum with the intent of eventually bringing everything here. That other thread was moved to stories and legacies. A lot has happened since then. I liked TS4, then hated it and stopped playing.
Now I am warming up to it again due to patch changes and mods and CC to change things I did not like about the game.
I will continue with documenting my TS4 activities. I will begin by updating this thread with all the things I have done, plus tons of other pictures that were not shown in the other thread.
Out on the Town
I sent Melonie into town to sample the social scene.
She met Monique, one of my four roomie sims.
Monique seemed to be bored out of her mind before meeting Melonie.
Ooh, nice shadows!
Ha! There goes Celia, roomie number 2. They are all dressed formally. I wonder what they have been up to. Is there a dress code for this lot?
Melonie brightened Monique up. She's happier now.
Ok, I have to admit, this looks nice.
Let's go inside.
I had to decide a career for Melonie. These TS4 base careers are...not what I expected. The best fit for Melonie, to me, is an entertainer. She was so funny to me in TS3.
Let's see if she can entertain the Willow Creek locals.
Nope. Girl needs more skills.
It was at this time that I need to break away from the game.
I thought it would save at the same point, but apparently just reset the lot. Melonie was upstairs somewhere.
It was at this moment that I took in this bar. I was really missing my TS3 dance club, PURE. I think it's time to build. I would like to see how TS4 sims use the place.
Build build build build build.
Hey, not as bad as I thought it would be. I will say straight out that this art style is not my favorite. I find details over-sized and blocky. Objects just seem thicker than they need to be and edges are sharp and geometric. Yet, I like this club anyway.
Ok, PURE is now in decent shape for a trail run. I am sending Melonie over there to try it out.
Hey, it's a nice crowd here. it's after 10 pm on a Saturday.
And here we are at my first pass at my PURE dance club. I think it's recognizable as PURE, but different.
Monique is going through her mood swing again.
Perk her up, Melonie.
Woah, this crowd looks familiar--word travels fast. There is a new club in town.
That's better.
Now to give this place a test.
I want to test out the stand up comic area.
The dance area is in the east wing.
Bella is admiring the art.
Oh no, I put the microphone in backwards.
I can't have her entertain with her back to the audience.
She'll have to settle for dancing.
Dancin' with the Llama.
Hungry now--there is another bar in the west wing.
"Hot wings, please."
No hot wings, she has to settle for a bowl of chips. I take it a Night Life/Late Night expansion will come. Hopefully we can dine out at restaurants.
Good, Celia is here. She can introduce herself to roomie number 2.
This is a nice treatment for the base game night life. TS3 was really boring when it came to bars in the base game.
The other woman left her seat and Melonie moved closer. Nice touch. I hope it wasn't random.
Since Melonie is an entertainer, I think it will be cool for her to have a music talent.
Pure will probably be her main hangout.
Cool! Roomie number 3, Annie.
Annie is the party animal out of the four.
This room needs more neon signs. I noticed a few in the other bar that I did not see in build mode. I must have missed them.
So here are three of the four roomies. Melonie only needs to find Ling now.
Want to double the sims in your club?
Put in mirrors. Old TS3 trick.
OK, now Melonie is exhausted. Party time is over.
She is walking funny.
That's the tired walk, but look at her face.
Poor thing.
Tired, but happy. That's cool.
There is still more work to do on PURE. I would like to put a nice garden in the back. More stuff will be added on in the future with EPs.
I did not know I could edit the lot while Melonie was still there. I could have turned the mic around and had her perform. I gotta dump TS3 thinking. There was a mansion here, but I deleted it since lot choice is so small. The area is perfect for this club however.
I had started with these four to see the different personalities in action.
I was so focused on how things worked that I did not pay their personalities much attention.
I downloaded a home from the gallery since I had no time to build one myself. I wanted to get into the game.
That car is so ugly it's cute.
It also makes me wonder if we will ever get cars for sims. That thing does not look interactive at all.
Tired already, Annie?
I guess it helps with the immersion of having an active town, but I wish I could see sims riding in it.
Conversations were flowing so fast and autonomously I had a hard time keeping up with the conversation. That's part of the reason I switched to Melonie.
A fire started and Celia jumped in to save the day.
Monique started it and was pretty useless in putting it out, but that was mostly my fault since I was trying to figure out howto call the fire department.
Hi...lar...i...ous all the same.
Celia looked pretty confident for saving the day. I made this picture a memory so she can reminisce on it for more confidence.
Nope, I don't like the outline either. It doesn't look this bad in game however. It's a little more transparent.
Ling isn't an angry or mean sim at all, but her expression can get very angry looking as you will see later.
First kid sighting, so much better than TS3 kids.
I noticed these two out for a stroll. He was looking at her a bit strangely.
They went out once, but I didn't really enjoy it.
One of the fake shell houses from the surrounding neighborhood.
A glitch with the violin--multi-tasking gone wrong. This might be a common bug in future EPs.
I sent Ling out to Oasis Springs once just to see what it looks like. She met a very unfriendly sim there.
I had invited him and others back home where his rudeness really showed itself.
They went down the conflict path.
The eventually had a knock down/drag out fight.
Ling won.
A confidence memory for sure.
He's an enemy now and he went in their backyard and kicked over their trashcan. Trashcan kickers are back.
Celia's best friend--her computer.
Ling is thinking back on one of the fights she lost with evil guy. The very thought of it is making her angry.
There goes Nancy Landgraab.
She changed back into everyday where as Ling took out her anger on her.
I felt a little guilty for getting her all riled up.
Do not mess with this woman.
She will mess you up.
And that's where I am with TS4.
I could have used this time playing.
Yay, I've been waiting! Amazing pictures and story so far. PURE looks awesome! Please do share.
All I need to do is put a decent looking garden in the back and I will uploaded. I can't believe I have been playing until 3 in the morning.
I did lie down for a bit and woke up at Midnight. I thought I would put in another hour.
I have been focusing on Melonie's career, aspiration, and making friends. Friends and comedy are the most important things in her life right now.
Thanks for the picture thread and story CK. Bookmarked it and will be checking back on Melonie and your other sims. Great job on PURE, looks like loads of fun!
PURE has been uploaded.
It can be found by putting in my Origin ID: ck213, or just search for: PURE
It's on a 50 x 50 lot, so be prepared to bulldoze a mansion.
Although Melonie's pancakes taste like 'fridge...
She has been eating enough of them to put on weight. I guess sims have to watch how much they eat. I had her jog, but I think she is going to have to go to the gym.
She's going to have to in order to show off these cool TS4 fashions.
I am not crazy about this in the bar. It doesn't look like the mixologist will clean it. Perhaps they will in time, but I couldn't stand looking at it.
Sorry, Mel'.
I like the garden. There is a flirty lamp hidden back there.
Melonie isn't pursuing any romantic interests, but it's there if someone interesting arrives on the scene.
The cool thing is I only had to make one of these circular areas. It's basically a room, so I was able to save it and place a copy instead of having to create another. What a time saver!
CK awesome story for TS4 love it so far. How do you like TS4 so far?
There is a lot to like, but there are things that I wish were different that is making me feel mixed about. Stuff off the usual list.
The graphics are nice, I just wish they weren't push so far towards cartoonish.
The main thing I like are the sims. Build mode is next. The game play is starting to feel like a grind now. You have to put a lot of effort into needs, career, relationships, and skills. I turned off aging since my sim is getting up near being an adult and there is still more that I want her to do as a young adult.
I sent Melonie to the gym with a friend who was also putting on pounds. Melonie is on the right.
She fell off the treadmill. I missed it.
After a good workout and a couple of showers, they were slim again.
The crew.
I need to focus on relationships. Riya is the only one that is high enough that I don't have to constantly get the relationship level up. The others keep dropping back to acquaintances.
But her aspiration is giving me trouble. I have to earn 2500 simoleons in tips, but these sims are such busy bodies that she can't draw enough tips.
I still have a lot to explore, but I think I am burning out with it. It should be a lot of fun when the EPs pile on.
I placed some of my CAS creations in Willow Creek.
Yuri and Zane, along with Zane's sister.
The millionaire heiress, Olivia Banks.
I had Olivia visit the Goths.
Alexander?
He turned out a bit funny looking. The hat doesn't help.
Socializing in the bedroom.
Anyway, back to Melonie. She has been having a difficult time getting tips at PURE and that blues bar. So I made her a little venue at the park.
It matches the field house.
It's not a runaway success, but it is an improvement. At least she usually gets a tip or two. I really dislike how columns disappear if you get too close, even in camera mode.
Don't be a cheapskate, Don. Give up the cash.
She is still putting on weight, so I had her spend the rest of the evening jogging.
Her friends are gaining weight too.
I think sims overeat when you are not controlling them.
I should have her explore this park, perhaps during daylight hours.
I can only post late at night and mornings and afternoons central time. Melonie met someone. I wasn't really interested in having her pursue a love interest. I was mainly interested in her develop her career and make friends. Pics coming later.
I took this picture of Melonie and I felt like I had seen it before.
Yeah, a long time ago when all we had was the TS3 base game.
Fernando
Melonie has been mainly a treadmill girl, but she gave the punching bag a try, with a hip bump.
I thought Riya Ramaswami would be Mel's BFF, but Annie Mae got the option first.
This guy chatted up Melonie in the park. That looks like grey hair.
He doesn't look like an elder though. Fernando. Hmm... I never bothered with pre-mades for my TS3 sim's love interests because TS3 males were a bunch of odd looking ducks. I always created my own. I think Melonie would be intrigued by Fernando.
But she came to the park to work on her aspiration requirements.
This guy came to flirt with her. He looks like a faux-Fernando.
Fernando turned up again near Melonie's house as she was exploring the area.
She discovered the rest of his traits. He's a genius--good. He's also a loner and a Bro, so I guess he will only want to hang out with a very small number of other Bros.
They seem to be hitting it off well, so I sent them to the club for more socializing.
Hi, Monique!
I take it EA skipped sims dancing one on one and are saving it for a Night Life type expansion.
I guess it's official-- I like playing the TS4 version of PURE than I do the TS3 version.
Let's give the area out back a test run.
I am liking Fernando more and more for Melonie as I have them interact.
I believe Melonie is too.
I was amazed at the following interactions. I tried to hold back because I do want them to try a date eventually. I need to save some of this.
She's tickling him.
That outline is going to be an annoyance for story makers.
Well, Melonie has never been one to hold back, turn on the charm, girl.
That's enough.
Alright, you can kiss him.
How ya feeling, Fernando?
Maybe I'll just skip the dating and have him move in.
I want to get her out of that tiny house. She needs another income earner in the household.
Love how the story is progressing CK! It's another winner. The look of Melonie's face was priceless, and the caption was so perfect! "Okay, you can kiss him" lol!!!
I haven't played T2 since I got this! I guess it's the way the Sims act, for me, that makes or breaks the game. I'm having a really good time, even though there's so many cuts. Oh, I haven't played t3 in weeks and weeks, it might even be months now, I don't remember the last time I played.
Things have gotten interesting fast.
I put Fernando in. He didn't have a home. I guess I could have moved him into one, but I am too impatient to play the dating game from the other side. That loner trait kicked in quick. Melonie has lots of friends and they visit everyday. Fernando was in the bedroom playing video games for his Tech Guru career. Annie and Riya came in to chat as he played. That made him tense up. It was so funny watching him get annoyed as they chatted at him.
And then the computer broke...
"How did you break the computer?"
"I didn't break it. It just happened."
"It was working fine before you played with it."
"Yeah, we were watching him and it just went, poof."
"Will you guys quit talking to me and just let me fix it!"
Blue screen of death, I guess it's not a Mac.
It's good to have Fernando around. I was tired of Melonie having to fix everything that breaks, or replacing them when she doesn't have the time. Fernando will be Mr. Fix-it.
Loving the updates CK! I want the game even more now. Its fun seeing Melonie translate into Sims 4. I look forward to more
Yeah, she's helping me adjust to this new game.
I am warming up to it more and more as time goes by. I wasn't feeling too postive when I first started.
I am in the middle of bringing one of my favorite homes into TS4.
It looks finished, but the interior is empty. I found a place for that humongous telescope.
I just need to put in a set of stairs to get up there.
It looks out of place in Willow Creek, but we don't have much choice so far.
I am still hoping we get larger neighborhoods. If all this were playable instead of just the five homes in front, I would be much happier. Basically twice the size of the largest areas.
I don't really consider this a story though. It's just me exploring the game. The opening was just a premise for Melonie crossing over to TS4.
I have been caught up in detailing that modern home, so I haven't been playing my sims as much. I want them to move in it, but they are really going to hustle to get the cash. I might just motherlode them.
They look like a couple.
Wake up!
I think they need to go out on a date.
I was to busy playing the dating game to take pictures. It was funny when Monique ran all the way out here for some voyeurism.
I am not sure if she actually wanted something, or if she was snooping on them.
It was a successful date. They received a coffee maker.
I prefer clicking on them and watching them walk towards the lot's border than just teleporting home.
Olivia seems determined to stay skinny. Push ups are a must, sims are gaining wait left and right.
Now I must get off the forum and get back to the game while I can.
Something odd happened. I am not sure if it was programmed to happen or whether it was a glitch. Riya came over to visit. I just let her do whatever she wanted and had my sims do the things they needed to do. Then I noticed she hadn't gone home as usual. She was upstairs in the observatory, so I send Fernando up to ask her to leave.
When she came out I noticed that she was really sad. Heartbroken really, with heartbreak thought bubbles. I was curious to watch what she does so I sent my sims to bed.
She stayed all night doing a sad dance. She's dancing here.
I felt sorry for her.
Fernando was all tense because he's a loner and doesn't know Riya. He 'd be happy if she left.
I figured I would have him get to know her better. He talked to her while she danced.
I thought I would kill two birds with one stone by doing an interaction to cure his tenseness. Well that backfired because all it did was make Riya tense too. Now she's doing a tense and kind of angry dance.
I got Fernando out of there.
Go work it off in the mirror.
Melonie tried to brighten her day.
That didn't help. She was still heartbroken.
This is one of the perks of her daily visits.
I kind of like Melonie's no-makeup morning look.
My curiosity was getting to me. I wanted to know what was going on with her, so I changed households.
She was exhausted, so I sent her home to get some rest.
I checked out her house that I got from the gallery and discovered I really didn't care for it. Somehow the stairs to the second floor were missing and it seemed like a pain to figure out how to add them. The room arrangement seemed odd.
So I found another. It said it was furnished, but it turned out only to have bathrooms and the kitchen.
So I wound up decorating taking content from the Goth Styled rooms.
Riya is a romantic looking for her soul mate.
I suspect she is sad because she hasn't gotten anywhere on her aspiration and has no one to love.
I would normally play her in rotational game play, but I am focused only on Melonie and Fernando for now.
Get some rest. Now, back to Melonie and Fernando.
Why do single tile doors only come in white? WHY WHY WHY WHY? GAH!
I put some finishing touches on the house first.
Getting back to Melonie and Fernando, I found they had lost quite a bit of energy.
[Yawn] "Who's at the door?
"What? Riya's back?"
"Don't answer the door. Maybe she will go away."
"Good! She's leaving."
"I love her to death Fernando, but man, she's getting needy."
Melonie and Fernando spent the rest of the day and night working on books and programming projects.
They are working hard to get the money for a new house.
I like all the little social touches.
The were strengthening the relationship in the kitchen when I was faced with the propose social. Oh what the heck, go for it.
"What?"
"Give me that!"
I was surprised when she took the ring and put it on herself.
Oh yeah, skip to the chase, forget that engagement period.
"Excuse me, but where are Annie and Ling?"
Good question, and something that grinds my gears. They were not available to even invite to the wedding. There were a few friends, but mostly people Melonie hardly knew. For Pete's sake, Annie is Melonie's best friend. I guess I could have phone her up, but I didn't want to risk any issues for doing so.
Pancake Bob is the mixologist.
I had Melonie all decked out in her wedding finest, but the game put her in this.
"You didn't think this was actually going to go as planned, did you? Ha!"
I didn't know what was going to happen.
I just set up PURE for a wedding from the little information I knew about TS4 weddings.
I thought about putting the wedding objects in the garden circle, but that bottle-neck is probably asking for trouble.
I believe Melonie is overwhelmed.
Now, to the problems: Too many distractions for the wedding guests, duh.
Not a huge issue, since we can get to main point of all of this--the wedding ceremony.
There! They missed a little of it, but are in time for the important part.
What's up, Mo'?
Ah! I see.
If I were playing rotationally, this would be the guy she would pursue. Oh, Riya is checking him out too...there could be drama.
Yep, just from that simple look, fate is cast.
Back to the ceremony...
Got that ring on the finger.
Oh, here is someone not happy about the wedding.
I believe Melonie might have flirted with him once. She must have made an impression.
I think I may have to space out chairs, too many people standing.
Wrong bar, Bob, the wedding is outside.
I did suspect multiple bars would be an issue, but I moved forward anyway.
I'm not picky...well, here. This wedding is already a success.
"I'm married!"
"Yes, you are!"
"Yes, she is!"
Melonie baked the cake herself and put it in her inventory.
Wow, that is a lot of fanfare for the cutting of the cake.
Feeding each other is a nice touch, but I liked the cake smooshing in TS2.
And there go the guests off to who knows where.
Yeah...I will be designing a venue specifically for weddings.
"You are mine now!"
[A flash of foreboding momentarily washes over Fernando.]
The guests are heading for Bob to get some drinks.
The bar is dirty and the guests are complaining.
It is just too much for Bob.
Melonie isn't happy with it either.
Here, have what I wanted you to wear.
And I had to cut it here, since there is a limit to how long a post can actually be in this forum.
So much for my huge picture posts.
I'm loving watching you get a feel for the game, especially as I'm encountering many of the same things myself. I'm also finding that building and maintaining friendships is major undertaking. My sim Darkling only has five friends and, with her also juggling a career and a romance of her own, it is a constant struggle to avoid rapid declines in her relationships. If I can't strike a balance soon I might look into the Time Speed Changer mod at MTS. Maybe a few more hours in the day will help.
Also, how are you handling the way TS4 labels screenshots now? By stamping them by date and time and then arranging them in numerical order, even my screenshot folder is a confusing mess to navigate. I think I'll have to rename them before uploading them to Flickr but that sounds like a tedious chore...
...oh, and ""I love her to death Fernando, but man, she's getting needy."
LOL
It seems like once you get the relationship high enough, the decay rate is a less drastic.
I think I will wait for another time mod, I tried to use that Ice M one and his default setting is much to slow, He seems to want a real time experience. I tried to edit the settings, but now I think my computer is confused about the file since it is now identified as opening with note pad and no longer works in TS4 after saving it with the edited settings. There is a cheat you can enter to affect time.
clock._set_milliseconds_per_sim_second 1000
The 1000 is real world time rate yet again.
I think I would try 120 instead. I believe the game's rate is 30.
I have been sorting pictures by date, but even that can put them out of order if you take them during a certain time of day, or if you have shots from multiple days. Even if they are arranged correctly, Photobucket my not upload them in the order you have them because it uploads multiple pictures at once and the first one uploaded could be out of order because of how quickly it uploaded due to size. I get them organized as best as I can and do custom organization by having my screenshot folder open and the pics in Photobucket open and just drag and drop pictures where they belong.
Hey, the caterer baked a wedding cake.
Oh well, I guess it's always good to have a backup cake.
"Shall we cut the second cake?"
"Sure!"
Oh, and they get a song too!
You are invited to their first party.
Oh wow, I haven't thrown a party yet in this game. I will once I get their new house decked out.
There is the pianist. I knew the one outside was not going to get used.
Fernando really needs to get to know Melonie's friends.
So this is what would have happened the first time if I had a better venue for weddings.
It's time to thank the guests for coming. It's one of the wedding goals.
There is an upside to this venue...
Dance!
"Fernando...?"
"Whoa!"
"You're mine now."
"Mmph..."
Final wedding goal achieved, they are golden now.
And so are their plumbobs, their needs are tanking.
"Melonie, I will be standing a little further to the left. Toss the bridal bouquet my way."
"That wouldn't be fair to the others, Riya, but my aim could happen to wander in your direction."
"All is fair in love and war."
Monique! Put...the cake...down!
A moment on the lips, a lifetime on the hips.
"That cake is delicious isn't it?"
"Mmmmm. This is the best cake I have ever eaten."
"Hey, if the bridal bouquet happens to be tossed my way, keep away, because I can't guarantee your safety, Monique."
"No need to worry about me, Riya."
"You can have the bouquet. The bouquet is a lie.
I am taking the rest of this cake."
They paid for her services, they might as well have a listen.
I did enjoy their wedding, despite the scattered feeling of it on this lot.
Angry guy is still angry. I wonder if it is because of the wedding, or if it's simply his traits.
Let's find out.
He perks up for Melonie.
Yep, he's happy guy now, but coincidentally, he also has the loner trait, like Fernando. That could be it.
Fernando had be a great husband or Melonie might be seeking comfort somewhere else.
Melonie can't end her wedding party without cracking a few jokes.
That looks like the "Really, honey?" look.
Eh, let her have her fun. I tend to neglect wishes in this game anyway, may as well score some points.
Oh, I think that joke bombed.
A comedian is really the best career fit for her in this game so far, although, she is combining comedy writing with it. I really like that. The comedy genre is her focus as far as writing goes.
There is still time on the clock, but I am ready to end this celebration. I want to get them in their new house.
"Fernando! Where is our limousine?"
"You wanted a limo'?"
"Yes!"
Home, sweet temporary home, let's get out of this dump.
I wanted to see how my TS3 Urbanite home looked in TS4. I am not ecstatic about it, but it's alright.
Now to relax in bed with the TV.
Huh...they can't relax in bed? They have to stand there to watch the TV?
Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?
So much for that, goodbye tele'.
They are nearly broke anyway and need the money.
They worked their little sim behinds off to pay for this house.
Nice steamboat.
They can't appreciate it from this room. The Urbanite home was intended as a refuge from a pure urban surrounding, basically shutting out the world outside, but it does have spaces when you don't want to shut the world out. The view of the steamboat is unfortunate.
Now they have to hustle money to furnish the place.
There is a lot to furnish. The second floor has a living room, dinning room, kitchen, and one bedroom. The ground floor has an entertainment area, workout area, hobby room, and a free space for activities like laundry, if we get it again. The upper floor has three bedrooms. They will fill this place with children.
Now, to work off all that wedding cake...
The area is nice.
Small, but nice.
There's Annie.
"Come on up. I will show you around and tell you about the wedding."
Yeah, tell her about it since she couldn't be invited.
Oh! I am so enjoying your story! I find myself looking for Fernando in my game. He is a townie? Right? I wonder if all the townies have the same name in each of our games? or if they get named randomly? So much to learn.
I had my sim have a party today. It was the first time I tried that. I am slowly getting the hang of this.
Your story gives me ideas for my own game. Thanks so much!
Yeah, he doesn't have a home in my game.
He was an elder when Melonie met him, though he did not look like an elder.
Ohh...here we go.
I have dabbled with CC hair in TS4, but now I am going to start hitting hard with the CC--floors and walls first.
I've already had a few TS4 purists slobbering at the mouth about my use of CC hair and replacing the texture-less grass, claiming a "Style Clash".
You better believe I will have a style clash.
The style I want versus the style we were given.
Fine by me.
I will play around with my newly acquired CC and then continue catching this thread up to where I am now with The Sims 4.
This should be Déjà vu for some of you as you have already read it, but I will be adding pictures I have not posted.
I'm one of the Deja vu crowd but I don't care, I always enjoy seeing your play sessions. :P And to those purists complaining, tell them to eff off and play their own game. -_- It's your game, you play it however the heck you want to. Good luck and looking forward to more!

Hi, Lynnwood.
The TS4 fire didn't go completely out.
It's smoldering again. I have been playing, more like dabbling. I should pick up Melonie again and see how different all those kids play now. I hope the patch didn't mess up their progress.
It's perplexing to me how upset a few simmers get about what others simmers are doing with their game.
Oh well.
[Looks at Cairo...]
That's not Cairo.
Of course he will never be Cairo without the trademark stringy hair.
Why force it?
We don't care if it is a boy or a girl.
No, really, we don't.
With all that she is going through, I am going to start having sympathy pains.
Annie continues her daily visits. I do like that friends visit, but I wish they would randomly skip a day or two.
I swear she looks a little bigger each time I see her. Annie, not Melonie.
Oh, more pain.
But she still has smiles.
Riya stands out as the main visitor to me.
Sometimes I fell like switching households to get her a relationship with someone.
She wants what Melonie has.
Those comedy books are really starting to pay off. They have money to buy more furniture.
Wow, she's really....
Oh, the baby is coming!
It's a good thing too. Thanksgiving is getting closer and closer. People might want to use her as a Thanksgiving Day parade balloon.
Fernando is at work, so she has to go to the hospital alone.
And she's back.
I liked the trip to TS3 hospital rabbit holes myself. There was more of an immersion factor there.
Yeah, yeah, confetti. Where's the baby?
There's the baby!
A boy, of course. We can't have what we want, can we now? His name is Antonio.
And there is the other baby. Most unexpected.
Melonie has twins! Somehow, I am not pleased as this feels wrong to so easily get twins.
Since he arrived next to the piano, music will be his focus in life.
This is Soren. I randomly chose one and liked this one.
Ok, Melonie is now a mom--now off to work!
I believe this may be a glitch. Simmers are reporting that they are getting twin boys. I want Melonie to have a daughter. If she get's Twin boys again, I am putting this game away after I am done raising the children to YA's and returning to TS3 until the game is patched and probably until Toddlers and some other features are added.
Fernando works mornings to evening. Melonie works during the night, so there is someone home with the boys.
I would age them up immediately, but I am taking this time to bond with the babies.
A color change of the room is in order.
Ok, that's all the time for bonding.
Fernando has aspiration goal to pursue. He needs to win 5,000 simoleons from gaming tournaments.
This figures, right in the middle of the gaming tournament, a diaper change is needed.
Well..., what are you waiting for? Fill that diaper.
If he has to change one, he might as well change two.
He is not the kind of dad to leave his kids in dirty diapers while he plays games, so he lost money and time on that tournament.
Good, Melonie is home. Fernando could use the help.
They will bond with both babies, but Melonie will get a little more time with Soren, and Fernando will get a little more time with Antonio.
It's a little late to do the baby is arriving panic. This was odd. I am still not sure what it was about.
Melonie is in a very playful mood this morning.
I suspect the Gummi Bear pancakes are the reason.
A new outfit, but she seems to kept a little weight.
Work off those thunder thighs.
Fernando mustn't neglect Soren, he needs time too.
I just might have Melonie quit her job. Those books are starting to bring in some cash and she could write more. She can focus on the kids and here piano practice.
Ok, the relationships with the babies are high. It's time to age them up.
Right out of the bassinet, one child.
?
?
Yeah, rapid growth must be a shock to the system.
No...I am not liking this. They feel like strangers. It's a bit creepy.
Those hats have to go.
I am trying to see the resemblance to Melonie and Fernando. There mouths look very small and pursed.
I think they are making fun of parents.
Oh well, let's see what it is like to raise children in TS4. I had aging turned off, but now it's on again.
The boys were tired and went to bed early.
Well, Melonie seems happy with her little men.
She had better have a girl next, not another set of twin boys.
I don't believe I will be adding on to this game until we get toddlers. I really don't like them skipping that stage and being children. Also the teen stage is next and they will look like they are a moments away from being a Young Adult.
Comments
EDIT - Do you mind sharing your Origin ID so I can follow you in the gallery?

with test sims and enjoying myself immensely .

Look at all the sims. TS3 Late Night is jealous.
About sixteen of them I think.
Anyway, on to PURE.
Riya!
I didn't recognize her.
Home sweet home, she could use a porch light.
Chips for breakfast?
Morning messy hair--perfect.
Fix-it.
Jerrello disagrees.
Oh well.
That is a Melonie thing to do though.
Leaping into his arms automatically was cool.
I loved how he rocked her a little.
Continued below, scroll down.

I will miss TS3's naming system.
Yeah, he doesn't have a home in my game.
He was an elder when Melonie met him, though he did not look like an elder.
Yes, but I am furnishing it as I play, so it may be a while, but it will be well play-tested.

Get a haircut!
Needed that beard though.
Someone is pregnant.
Wait, what happened to the glee?
Oh, reality.
