SOLVED(ish): Keeping certain parts of sims

I downloaded a sim with a nice skin, but her clothings a bit.. Not covering. I also didn't want to keep her hair. I want the skin but it usually deletes if I delete the skin and I can't seperate the clothing from her. Is there a way to delete sims but keep certain parts?

Bump, my sister sometimes plays the game and I don't want her to see weird animated sim parts that don't need to be seen.

If there is a title on the custom skin in CAS where you select the different sims, you can search for that skin and instal it.

Downloaded a sim from where? Like the Exchange? I find it better to go to the CC site responsible for the skin/hair/clothing/whatever. That way you get the CC directly, without anything else.

But if you cannot find that, you can try CUSTARD. It's available on modthesims and there are tutorials on the web.

I download from exchange. I know it's not bad CC. It's just supposed to be revealing.

Can't install skins, technical difficulties. They have to come with sims or it doesn't work.

Then view it like you are watching a cartoon. It's not real, so it's no big deal

Other than that, You have to keep the sim and hope it doesn't pop up or just delete it :? Or just explain to your sis that the sims is rated teen for a reason.

And by revealing, do you mean full reveal or just partial because if it's partial then it's perfectly fine in my opinion

Hope you come to a decision though :D

You can use Custard to check sims3packs before installing them. Honestly no one should depend on the exchange for CC. Tons of guides out there to teach you how to install CC.

Make sure to read the description.

I failed in a few ways.
1.It wasn't the sim I thought it was, they just share the same skin.
2.I just deleted all the items it showed comes with it.
3.If any of the stuff remains, they aren't the same gender.

I should do my research first before asking.

Don't feel bad though, I made the mistake of downloading a custom family one time and it came with a custom pants that just had... NOTHING... no piece of clothing was there! And everytime I made a female sim in CAS and randomized the clothes, its like they ALL wanted to wear it! I ended up deleting the family since I would never use them and couldn't take the horror anymore

Crinrict has a help page for this program too if you need more info: http://sims3.crinrict.com/en/2011/01/tutorial-delphys-custard.html

Delphys tool Dashboard does the same thing for package files. (Delphy is the creator of Custard)
