Custom Avatars?

So people will have these nice avatars with there sims in cute poses and have them as avatars.

(just an example)
How do I do this? I don't really like the default poses they give them

(My dull avatar default pose)
Or atleast a way to change there position. I don't want my non-flirtatious sims winking like that.

Sorry for complaining if it sounds like that. I don't want to sound like a hissy little girl, but it just comes out some times.

Don't worry I totally understand. I personally used these instructions:

    http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/list/397192.page

They worked for me. I like her instructions over anyone else's that I've come across. Basically make one sim that is wearing all base-game clothing in the Create a Sim interface. Then, click the "..." button beside her icon at the bottom of the CAS interface and choose "share". Your sim will be saved in your Electronic Arts documents folder under The Sims 3>Exports.

Once you have verified that your sim is in that folder, follow MissSpiffey's instructions in the link above. If you need further help let me know.
