I'm also a bit frustrated because I was messing around in bodyshop with skins earlier, actually got ticked and rage quit twice. I was trying to recolor Ephemoras soft skins to make the vampire skin. I was annoyed because I didn't see infant toddler and children in ea's vampire project file. Also, Ephemora has all the body types, and I didn't see that in the ea skin file either. So I wasn't sure what to do exactly. :?

The reason you're not seeing toddler or child vampire skin is that you can't have vampire toddlers or children in Sims 2.

Vampirism in Sims 2 is not genetic. None of the creature states are except alien but beyond different appearances aliens are just the same as regular Sims.

And the youngest a Sim can be to be turned into a vampire is teenager.

And remember that TS2 vampires are immortal by default. You would have to send a vampire to University to age him or her to adult (either graduate them or drop them out will do it).

I have custom default skin, but for eyes I prefer contacts. It allows me to change them whenever I feel like. I don't mind that NPC's have the game's default eyes. I picked up everything I have from MTS like a lot of people.
I'm also pretty anti-CC and anti-mod. But after playing Sims 3, I needed some stuff to make Sims 2 more enjoyable. But, I'm very picky about what I've chosen.

I'm finding that I'm particular about cc if I use it to. I don't own any cc in ts3, except for a few paintings I've made myself. I think I've tested about 10 today and still looking for the one.

I'm sure most people are picky about the mods and CC they use and don't just put it in without seeing if they like it in game.

I've used mods in TS2 for years and they're needed (I hate that I couldn't stop them from making a bed) or helpful (College Clock) and they all work well because I check.

CC is something I enjoy and use because it expands on the game options- there's no Store in TS2 to get more options. I've got more Store stuff in TS3 then CC in TS2.

I've used CC and mods in TS3 since there were mods and CC. I couldn't do several things in CAW without them.

I don't use any CC's in the sims 3 also only certain mods I know that are safe and with the sims 2 I only use trusted creators I've used for sims most of them are old creators of the sims 1 game so I trust their creations because they know the game very well.

I have recently downloaded skysims hair for sims 2. Peggy recolors I think?

One thing I can look way back at and laugh about is when sims 2 was new-ish and cc hair and meshes started coming out just how BAD some of it was!

The first time my game blew up I could be happy to be rid of some of those awful hairs! I'm leary to this day and notice it can look gorgeous at the download site BUT then in game you notice a "gap" or hole where the neck and hairline meet.

Anywho this at one time was my very favorite clothing creator , there is still some great stuff up at TSR. Some of it is gone though.

    http://www.thesimsresource.com/downloads/browse/category/sims2-sets-clothing/search/juttaponath

Edit: I notice TSR site search engine isn't so good but google works better.

Some of her styles aren't to my liking but the fabric textures are so beautiful, detailed , and realistic. The silk and knit fabric is so perfect. If you scroll through the pages there are some beautiful silk blouses and skirts.

Also some really nice elder clothing.

I have a lot of her stuff that isn't at TSR anymore though. Colorful silk skirts, shirts, lingerie etc.

I still remember my excitement at finding and downloading a ton of it from {cough}that place we don't talk about {cough} I think it is still all there for the download.

I spent all of December of I'm not sure 2006 or 2007 downloading, installing, saving to disc.

Here's my first skin tone trial run. I only did the female and I think I need more practice, for sure. I used a picture of Alyssa Milano as Phoebe for the face. But I guess she had on a ton of makeup bc in game it looks orange. But now that I know how to do it...
Now I need to figure out how to do more muscle tone. I can fix the oranginess, but I need to get really familiar with airbrushing again.

That's not bad, the skin or makeup tone does look a little orangey though.

I've got a Phoebe Halliwell running around my first Strangetown, along with her 2 sisters, husband's and boyfriends. In fact Cole Balthazor ended up being the baby-daddy of My favorite sims 1st child

I'll try and dig up an old pic. I can't say I did a very good job getting Phoebe to look like Phoebe but then it was eons ago I made her!

I love bodyshop but have never actually created on my own, I should but too lazy I guess. I use it to recatagorize the clothing though, it works great for that.

Here's Cole, he was created the first year or two sims 2 was out. I had downloaded custom eyes but nothing else, no skins, hair etc. Keep in mind he's supposed to be half human / half deamon of the underworld:

Phoebe, she got some odd big orange eyes:

The mansion I built for them, 3rd floor view. It isn't a copy of their house from TV but just a mansion I built for the 3 sisters:

I recolored the outside of the mansion in black when I reinstalled my discs.

They're fun to play. I still love all my old sims even though they have a somewhat "cartoony" look, because they were created the first few years of sims 2.

    Those are really nice!

I am currently looking for more color choices for my Sims. I don't want custom hairs, I just want more color choices in the hairs that are in the game. Does anyone know where there are some? I'm currently browsing MTS, but there's 2000 items in hair and searching hair color didn't help. I could just install body shop again and mess with them myself..... but I'm being lazy.

I came across this not long ago, some are maxis recolors , others are custom mesh recolors. There's tons of them in many colors. I'll post a few links, with a bit of searching there are many links and many hairs.
Also you might try MTS2 for hair recolors. Just have to search around. Also XMsims I think was the name of it:

I like the one I posted links to because it had so many Male hairs and recolors, and not All of them were girly looking  .

    Thanks Zorba!
After hours of looking, it looks like I'm just going to have to re-install and re-learn body shop. There aren't very many recolors of existing binned Maxis hairs.
