Not necessarily The Sims 4, but the series as a whole. If someone who had
somehow never played a Sims game before asked you: Why do you play the game? What appeals to you?
What would you say?
Personally, I have always loved the character creation aspect of any video game. The more I can customize my character the better. In the Sims, I can make multiple characters (TS4's CAS is the main thing I'm super excited about!) and play as them, watching their stories unfold just as I planned it (or sometimes not quite as I'd planned!). But I feel like the Sims has always had really fun townies and NPCs as well. If I wanted to play as a pre-made family, I felt safe knowing I'd have fun!

I could tell their story that was given to them, or go completely off course!
I've also always liked the worlds that just about any Sims series was set in. From Pleasantview to Sunset Valley...to whatever city it is you hung about in the Sims Bustin' Out for GBA!

Specific buildings and architecture unique to each town really made every experience feel special.

Really, there are a lot of reasons I play the Sims, but I think those two things are the
main reason I keep coming back for more!~
What about you? Why do you play the Sims?

The Sims is the only game that I play it the way I want to play. In my own way. Unlike most of other games where you are bound to certain rules or goals.
The Sims is a never ending game. It has no end. It does not finish.
Both The Sims and Simcity has these two features but The Sims is more open and more free
You stole the words right out of my mouth...
As for the sims 3 I love that I can not only create sims and do what I want with them but I can also change the style of objects, clothing, doors, windows, and walls. I can also build stuff how I want to and have an open world to explore at my leisure.
