Hey all! I've had so much fun with CAS, especially when it comes to remaking my TS3 Sims! Have you had the chance to remake any of yours yet? Feel free to share your creations here!~ Oh, and I'm sorry if there is already a similar thread; I don't think I've seen one, but I could be wrong!

Here are some of mine: (I'll post others when I'm not too lazy to get screenshots of TS3 Sims XD)
Jasper Drullows:
(Please note that she is a teen in TS3~)

Corinda Noi:
For this character I would have really liked to have CASt. In TS3 she had her "own" pattern she was "famous" for, haha~ I'd like to have been able to recreate it, but I'll either wait until one becomes available (if it does!) or pretend she started to hate that pattern and is trying to get away from it now, haha. Also, I noticed while putting these pics together that I accidentally made her eyes green in TS4. :O But oh well~ I think it looks better that way.

Flicker Quinne:
I actually made this Sim pretty recently (while I was waiting for the demo, actually

), and I liked how she came out. She's a witch in TS3 and has pointed ears (as you can see). Hopefully we'll have those options added later!

Along with your pictures, feel free to share any previous stories your Sims had, or even what you plan to do with them in TS4! I'd love to hear about that! *o*

Much cooler in TS4.
I am not having much success with mine. The problem is my CC I think it makes them look too different and seems harder to replicate in TS4.
My first attempt at CAS was with Melonie. I am a little better with CAS now so I will probably start her over from scratch.
TS3 Amy Li.

They change their expressions more, you still can take pictures of them with 'mugshots'.
Thank you! That's pretty much exactly what I was going for, actually!
I'm glad you like them! ;u;
Thank you so so much! Oh, you definitely should! It's so much fun!
Muhaha, me too, me too! It's like they know something that we don't... Hmm!
I think Jasper's happy they took toddlers out. Then again she has the "Hates Children" trait, so I guess that makes sense for her~ 8)
Aaah thank you so much! Flicker is one of my favorites to play with, so that means a lot!
I find this one appealing.
Whoooaaa! It's cool how much more like..."polished" TS4 Sims look? Your Sims are gorgeous in TS3, but those TS4 Sims thooooough! I understand what you mean about CC probably making it a little more difficult to match the right look, since TS4 is more cartoony -- but I think you did a really great job!
Aaahhh oh my gosh thank you!! ;n; My main aim is to give them lots of personality, so that means so much to me!
I'd nearly forgotten about machinima!! I never really could get into it with TS3 (I tried a few times, I was just never good at it, haha), but I really think that might change with TS4!
Remaking (and badly I know) him just makes me see the limitations of creating sims in sims 4. Part of the problem here is that I'm noob at the sims 4 CAS, but it's also a problem of the game... It's harder to change one part of a feature. Yes it's faster, but that makes it more difficult to be precise, even with editing on detail- which I've mostly been doing just that.
Part of the problem is that some sims I have made in sims 3 have extreme features. Small eyes, and interesting shaped noses and jaws. I mostly acheived the jaw, but definitely not the nose. Yes that's the hardest part, but I couldn't move parts of his nose as much as I wanted to. His nose can't be lower, and while this can uneasily be fixed through moving the face around, that shouldnt have to be done. His upper bridge length is the widest it can go, which doesn't compare to how wide it is on my originl sim...
And the skin tones suck! Most of the pale skin tones look weird. Other than that, there are a few okay black skintones, and most of the other tan skintones look weird to me! This is the only normal tan skintone in the game, and it isn't as tan as I'd like it...
I apologize for the weird pic.. it was just my upload pic for him. I am not going in my game to take another picture of him... I made him in 2012. I just took a screen from my ipad...
Some other things I couldn't change
-his upper eyelid cannot be moved down farther.
-the eyebrow corner is as low as it can go...
I have to say that if I knew absolutely NOTHING about TS3 or TS4 and had to choose between them based solely on these pics, I would definitely go with TS3.
In my opinion, the only good things about TS4 are CAS and BUILD MODE which are fabulous but HUGE trade-offs for the massive amount of marvelous content, features and options TS3 currently has and still adding to. I realize that many of the things I/we love about TS3 may eventually show up in TS4 months/years from now but I just can’t get over the "cartoon" LOOK of its Sims. Like you haven't read THAT before.
I’m still on the fence but doubt I’ll be persuaded and may not even bother with the CAS demo when it becomes available for the rest of us.
Please… DO NOT interpret my comment as a bashing of TS4! Not in the least! I’m simply stating my personal preference based your comparison pics. Fair enough?
Again…well done & thank you,

EDITED: I posted this before seeing pics from others. I still like the look of TS3 Sims better.
I think your TS3 Luke is steaming HOT! OMG! He's GORGEOUS! His TS4 version doesn't hold a candle to him!
Thanks. Part of the problem is I don't have CC in TS4. And I'm still learning this CAS.
I attempted to do this with my most downloaded sim on mts, Preston Sarin... I think the medium dark skintone looks weird!!
I did much better, most likely because his features aren't as extreme. It may be easier to try to create a real person than a sim!
I tried to do the same thing with some of my sims. I don't know if it's because the Sims 3 pictures come directly from CAS, and my Sims are expressionless, but I prefer the Sims 4 version ;p

I really like what you did. The Sims 4 versions are much more nuanced and shaded, features that should stand up to zooming out in live mode. I could often get Sims to look fairly decent in Sims 3 CAS, but in live mode their features just turned to ... pudding ... if I took the view anywhere but right up on them. (I micromanage so much, I tend to stay zoomed pretty far back for a wide view of the house. One reason I don't like huge houses).
But with a good light, he can also look really nice.
(Sorry for my english ^^')
