So I chatted with an EA rep yesterday who gave me the run around only to receive a code in my email saying I was given a special access code but no idea where to redeem it. It's not a full product code and origin wouldn't let me redeem it in their launcher soooo what do I do with this "special" code?! Anyone??? :?

If it says the code is being used, it sounds like the game is registered. Have you looked under My Games to see if it's there? You may not need to do anything with the code.
I have looked, and I thought of that.. maybe I just need to wait a bit longer for it to show up. I did have all my sims 2 games registered on EA's site, but never bought one through origin so they aren't in my launcher.

Oh! Is that the access code we're talking about? I'm sorry, I totally forgot about that email. That code is for accessing your "ticket" and conversing with the service reps by email. I was thinking of another email I got, AFTER that one, that had a code that was "issued against your open case." THAT one was the one to activate/redeem for my ultimate collection.
Some people were told that by their service rep, but a lot of us got it straight away (like me). It all depends on who you talked to.
I did the livechat, showed my pictures of my disks, got the collection put into my origin and was given a 15% off code as a reward for being a "valued customer". I received a random email a few minutes after the chat ended with that code.
Maybe that's what you have?
Yes, I just found out the special access code is for accessing my ticket. A rep called me back so I asked him.
