I get a worried about hacks when asked for account information even something as simple as a username. Guess I am a bit cynical.
Nah, I don't think you are. I'm sure people have the ability to, even if it seems far fetched. Still, the purpose of this topic remains a mystery. Maybe it's just for fun? Either way I'd say it's a bit pointless
Imma demoless as well. (Twas hoping to get it during my couple of days off from work, but alas, nothing. )
The only reason I can think as to why this topic exists is so we can see, on average, how many of the demoless are slowly being sent a demo. I guess it's a way to see how fast the invites are being trickled out. Say for example 180 people replied to this thread saying they're demoless, and then within the course of a couple of days, 15 of them got invites. It gives a pretty rough idea of how long we (as a whole) might be waiting.
It's obviously nothing concrete (and we already have speculation about August 12th being the official demo release), but it at least gives the deprived simmers something to ponder over while they wait. Personally I wish I had it now, but if I have to wait, oh wells. Not much you can do about, really, unless you feel like flashing the PR on twitter and have a decent following of fans to back you up. As we all know, that apparently works wonders. :roll:
