Another I just pre-ordered post!

I'm excited! Today I pre-ordered the Sims 4!

I had waited to see what "extras" would be offered by the different outlets but decided I just really wanted to know it would be here Sept. 2! I ordered the Premium edition cause my daughter really wanted the book although we will need to purchase a separate copy for her so we can share our creations in the gallery.

Just to be clear, I was never on the fence about the game. I have been thrilled by the news coming out. With a whole new game engine, I know there will be lots of new things to explore and experience. I look at each edition as it's own game with each offering it's own take on the Sims. I am really looking forward to what this version has to offer.

I just pre-ordered today too! I was going to get it from Wal-Mart, as I'm an employee and would get 10% off, but I decided to go with GameStop instead. They open at 10am, whereas the mail comes in the afternoon sometime. lol Getting it a few hours earlier is worth the extra $8. lol Also, I don't have to put the whole $80 down at once, I can put a little towards it each paycheck. :P

Oh, and I got the Premium Edition.

I preordered the premium edition from Gamestop last week. It's $79 but I want everything.

Cat, I agree... it's why I waited so long to pre-order cause I was afraid someone would come out with something awesome for pre-ordering and I'd go with the wrong outlet! I decided on Amazon, but it was a huge tug of war! Hubby was, "Just pick one already!" LOL

I did debate adding the post, but was happy to share my happiness!

I will do my best to post all I can once I play a bit .

I'm waiting a bit to do my pre-order. I need to see if my origin account is going to be fixed first. There's no sense in me pre-ordering the digital deluxe on origin if I won't be able to download it. I'm really really sad now

What exactly is the point of pre-ordering. It is not like the game is widely popular. I bet best buy will have 30 copies waiting for you on release day. Judging by their lack of confidence in the game as well as their target audience of pre-teens 12 and under, the game will not sell well. Why pre-order? No one is going to be fighting with you for a copy of a game with no in-game footage 2 months prior to launch.

Its there to give the consumer a sense of excitement and EA can make millions off the interest.

I reality it make no sense for the consumer to preorder as the game is widely available and will be on day 1.

That's cool. I pre-ordered the Premium Edition from Amazon a few weeks back because I wanted the book and extra goodies. Technically it was for an early birthday gift.

Add me to the list of people who pre-oredered! I got the premium edition from Amazon. I really hope I get it on release day and there isn't any issue!

Also, can we PLEASE stop being so negative???!!! Many of us are really excited for the game and its features!!!

You know I really want this game, whether I pre order or not.
Unfortunately I had to quit my job for medical reasons, now that I am better I am looking again for work.
One reason I work and make money is for The sims!!

But can't get the sims until I has me a job
I could always ask my mum but I hate asking her for stuff.

I think it is great that you pre-ordered and hope you have a lot of fun with the game. It is always exciting to pre-order I think. I wish I could do that. I am just not sure right now. In the last few days some really good information has been coming out that has me a little more excited for the game than before. I still would like to see some game play but I have considered getting it so I can see for myself. But I am concerned about computer specs. Are you worried your computer won't play it?


Anyway kudos to you for taking a leap of faith. If I don't preorder I will be looking to you guys for news about the game. Happy Simmming.

I agree where I live no one is ever standing in line to get a copy of the new base game on day one. And most of the stores around here do carry the LE and even the CE boxes. I went to Best Buy on day TS3 was released, no one was buying it. Next day I had to go to Target, the shelves were full of both the ones TS3 offered. I think it depends on where you live, in my part of the world in the local more people play console games than they do PC games. It's just the way it is around here. I'm not saying the games don't ever sell because they do, but really no one has been sold out the first few months here except for TS2's game and EPs.

And that's a long time ago. I thought I would get it from Origin because of the money back if I don't like it, but it's a tradition with me to get the boxed version because that's just me.
