Ghosts in TS4

In my opinion, ghosts in the Sims 3 looked more like semi-transparent Sims with a "walk through walls" cheat that only appeared at night. Besides that, they were "normal" sims that you could chat with and do other things.

If they are going back to the "roots", I hope that they at least make the ghosts(if there are any) and their behaviour be more similar to the original Sims and The Sims 2 ghosts.

Oh, I just realized. I forget ghosts in S4. Yeah, I love ghosts in S2, I want them to make a comeback though.

    I Agree!
In TS1 and TS2 Ghosts were actually creepy and scary and Sims coudn't interact with them.
I hate how they made TS3 Ghosts look silly and basically like normal living Sims with the *duh* exception they're floating around and dead. Nothing to fear in this one.

Please, bring back the old scary Ghosts EA. :!:

Yeah the sims 2 ghosts were my favorite, I liked how when they possessed teddy bears its head started spinning :-)

True. In the Sims 3, ghosts lost what made them unique.

YES!!! *high five* The Poltergeist ghost made my Sims 2 Sim wet himself... I nearly did too! I was feeling my Sims pain there  Sooo creepy and chilling *shivers* to think just before that encounter he actually wanted to see the ghost! I was like are you CRAZY???!!!
Sims 3 ghosts were just tame and questionable :?

I don't know much about ghost in the other sim games, but they sound quite interesting. Creepy ghost do sound much better, especially for sims that get scared easily.

.Ghosts in TS2 PC : "Oh, just strolling around this grave at night and "GHOSTS PORT AND SCARE YOU" OH WA THE HELL MAN!!".

.Ghosts in TS2 PSP : "Oh, right so this is my new bedroom and...Nervous subject ghosts start stalking you in super-speed" (Run for your freaking life).

.Ghosts in TS2 Console : "So there is this abandoned movie sets with 3 ghosts that make windwirls around you, vomit on you and have darth-vader like voices...fascinating"

    .Ghosts in TS3 :

    - Good morning mister ghost, you no scary.

    - Good Morning mister v12, im just feeding the ducks..

I feel that TS3 was a much more tame world in general. It's much harder to die accidentally. I miss the danger of repairing lights and other hazards.

I don't think I've lost a single sim in 3 to an accident that wasn't planned by me as part of the story, which makes it sort of artificial.

The fact that ghosts aren't all that scary to sims is just another example of this.

It would be cool if the sims could change from sim like, game ghosts like in sims 3, but depending on place or personality or something, they could become scarier, and maybe look different somehow. Maybe disappear, then appear and scare a sim or something. Idk, there is so much potential. I played sims 2, but I didn't really do much with the ghosts.

I don't think there will be ghosts in the sims 4 because there's no random deaths.

I would still like for Sims to interact with the ghosts and for them to become playable, but yes, they do need to scare Sims more and have the ability to possess things.

Uh? Even if there was no random death , there would still be deaths, and there would still be ghosts because of old age.

I have to agree. One of my major complaints about TS3 was that it was too easy. Hardly anything bad ever happens to your Sims unless you worked pretty hard at it. I liked it better when just deleting the pool ladder made Sims down (in TS3 you have to build a wall with no spaces for a Sim to stand) and you could set fire to your Sims just by placing a rug too close to a fireplace (I have yet to figure out how to set fire to a Sim in TS3).

Maybe there could be a way to 'tame' the ghosts so they can be like ghosts in sims 3.

I forgot how much I missed the ghosties in TS2... Oh man, those were the best!

Ts3 Ghosts are kinda cool in the aspect of the colours and animations (the "electrocuted" one has little lightning bolts). But they're very tame and friendly.

I'd like the ghosts to maybe reflect their personality traits? So if the ghost was mean in life, it'd be mean in death. Or if it was a nature lover, it'd spend a lot of time outside?

Wait, where was said this about TS4??

One thing that i LOVE about TS2 are the random events and random deaths, and i missed that a lot in TS3. So TS4 will be no different from 3, uh? :(

I don't think there will be anything really scary in TS4. The franchise has moved more and more toward being kid-friendly, with romantic interactions becoming less explicit, and cutesy things like picking wildflowers becoming more common.

I had Sims that were scared to death in Sims2. Usually, in Sims3 the only reaction after seeing a ghost is with my cowardly Sims. They just faint. It's way too tame. And, after Ambitions, we don't seem to have ghosts in the cemetery anymore. :(

I'm just now over here on the Sims4 forum, trying to learn what I can about it. Still trying to get off of this painful fence I've been sitting upon. The game is way expensive for me, and with Twallen having retired, if the game is horribly buggy, it won't be worth the price, I'm afraid. I'm just now leaning toward giving the base game a shot. But I need more information. When and where did you learn there will be no ghosts in Sims4?

They didn't. There has been no confirmation either way regarding ghosts in TS4 as of yet. However, since they've been in every base game so far, I would think it highly likely they will return in TS4 base game. :D

I heard something about how much easier it will be to make our sims miserable , so that's a light at the end of the tunnel.

The ghost in The Sims 2 were definitely terrifying!

I just realized how smooth TS2 animations are... TS3, I love ya, but why can't you be like that?
Luckily, it seems the Sims 4 will be having smooth animations, so that's good.

Agree. I hope EA can find away to get the TS4 ghosts scarier again, like in TS2. And also It would be cool if ghosts had ability to possess sims and control he/ she sims life. But only playable ghosts can use this ability.

Oh there's a way... Have a witch cast fire bolt at the ground at a Sim's feet. THEN the flames will generally engulf them. Not that I have murderous witches running around in my game or anything... ;)
