routing problems through foundation-need help

I followed this tutorial, http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/list/462025.page ,but I'm still having routing problems. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Here are pics of the stairs.

Your stairs seem to go from the foundation level to the basement, which I dont think is possible.

Is their 2 sets of stairs? (1 going from foundation level to the ground, 1 going from the ground to the basement?)

if so, you need a space in between each set of stairs for sims to be able to get off and onto the next set of stairs.

    I hope this helps.

there are two sets. I did first one from basement to foundation, and the second one from foundation to the house part. I think I know what you are saying so I will try it.

Aitkens08 is absolutely right. Sims need a landing between stairs. At least 1 floor tile space is required for routing to work correctly on basement stairs. You can easily fix that by deleting one foundation square in front of the smaller set of stairs to make room for another tile. Good luck!
