8.008 link censor

I posted a link to a recent upload and part of the URL included asterix (****). I found out that other people were having the same problem for uploads which included 8.008 in the link (without the '.') in the URL. Someone recommended using tinyurl.com to redirect and I successfully used this as a workaround. I searched and couldn't find a post on this problem so am adding here in case anyone else has this issue and didn't know what to do.
For consideration by EA, is it possible to disable links automatically being created with 8.008 in the URL since these will be automatically censored out and break the link?
