I'd actually love simple hanging lightbulbs and I'd clutter them up. I think they look great!

Maybe the gnome will help out, like the gnome of invention that finishes off inventions in the middle of the night. Like the elf and the shoemaker. The inventing gnome is my favourite because he's so helpful!

But it still could be any number of the following:

    • Glass blowing
    • Perfume making
    • Jewelry crafting
    • Metal smelting
    • incredibly awesome (OK, maybe I threw this one in there.)

why can't it be all of these things in one...?
*crosses fingers, toes, legs, arms, and eyes

Maybe the kiln DOES have more than one use! All these things would be possible then. If that was the case it MAY limit the amount of items that could be made with each craft but its something, right?

True it may have more then one use but remember we haven't seen the inside of the venue yet. There could be another premium object in there that can make the other stuff.

If you look at woman it appears like she is possibly wearing earrings and a bracelet as well. I would post the larger image but not quite sure how to do that

Also the man's necklace looks to be made of leather and metal.

I am sure the girl in the picture definitely has new jewelry. When she is going up the stairs - no necklace, but looks like she has on bauble earrings. Then see her again in the glass blowing picture and she has same clothes on, but this time a necklace added to the outfit. So it is definitely jewelry that does not come with clothing as that is a base game shirt and it has no jewelry in my catalogue. It does appear to come in teen, YA, and at least adult ages too.

I have been through out my décor catalogue last night, I do own the store, and cannot find an object or lamp that would look exactly like that object on the table either - so whether it is a gnome or not I can't tell but unless I missed some stuff that does appear to also be a new item

Just tossing in my 2 cents... at least of what I think I see. Hopefully my eyes do not deceive me.

Oh one other thing - even though perfumes used to be made of natural flowers and such, now a days it is less common to make perfumes with flowers - and are most often scents created in labs - so we could have perfumes without flowers and just need a good chemistry lab.

I think it is a gnome because a few pages back Cinderelli posted a link to twitter in which SimGuruCopeland used a word beginning with GNOME and it was a made up word and he had it in capitals.

And about that chemistry lab to make perfume - I just want flowers I can grow and pick:)

I think so too Karritz - I hope so anyway. That would be very cute - a glass gnome. I don't know what it is about those little gnomes but I just seem to really love them in the game. So the more the merrier - I say. It's funny because in real life I am not a big fan of garden gnomes - I prefer like garden angels or fairies - but in the game I really love all of them - especially the baby gnomes. So glass one is a big "YES" - and a big hope too.

I don't understand the excitement over gnomes...i probably have not played enough to enjoy them. Aside from the invention gnome, arent they just standing around waiting to be kicked? Please somebody enlighten me. What am I missing?

Not at all - there are different gnomes that will just appear on your lot when you do certain activities - they multiply - have baby gnomes, the baby gnomes goes through different ages, they get old and eventually die and leave a gnome grave stone. They pop up in all sorts of places on your lot and do little things now and then. They change poses and all sorts of things. Like do enough laundry and get the little laundry gnome who sometimes might even do your laindry for you when you are not looking. He looks like a bear actually. There are inventing gnomes that show up when the sims reaches a certain level and all the inventions after they show up get better prices generally. (Artist gnomes, supernatural gnomes, gardening gnomes - all kinds of gnomes for everything) They are faster to make - as some say the gnome works on the invention when you aren't looking. But just about everything one can do on a lot when the sim reaches a certain level will make the different gnomes take up residency at your house and help you with stuff. They move all over your lot as I said. When your sim household has a baby - if you have a few of the Mysterious Mr. Gnomes the gnomes will also have a baby. The gnome babies are just adorable and has some really cute poses. I often find the baby gnomes keeping a household toddler company on the floor if you place the baby on the floor to play with the skill toys ir dollhouse a lot. But of course if you have the toddler stage too short - you might not see the gnomes. I play epic aging but have newborn set at 10 days and toddler set at 35 days and always get the baby gnomes as long as I had an adult gnome on my lot that was either found while hunting gems or fishing or gotten by skilling. It is not the same as the cheapo gnome you can just buy for the yard. That one never does nothing.

um could that be "just" a new accessory, the way the Homecoming set contained (fabulous) new accessories?

Did SimGuruCopeland actually confirm that the sims can craft jewelry in a kiln, place on a table, purchase, and then wear? Plus gnomes, plus stairs? As much as I would love to see all that, it does seem like an awful lot to expect from one Store set and I would hate for anybody to be a tad disappointed.

He didn't confirm no but he did say jewelry maybe one of the items our sims can make.
