@jonluke32, Great! I have finalized it some more and it does have the double doors off the hall coming into it and it is across the hall from the girls bedroom. Because her room is on the side of the stairs I only have room for one door so I have the arches like in the parlor separating the sitting room from the bedroom area. With curtains on the arches to make the bedroom area more private.
This is a recreation of the Historic Foxbar. It has 5 bedrooms with a Master sitting area, 6 baths, parlor, drawing room, formal dining, kitchen, family room, conservatory and solar. It includes an unfinished basement, garage and 2 patios with flower gardens. Come feel the magic of this beautiful and bewitched Bed and Breakfast from the movies and the series of The Good Witch. Grey Manor is a very nice home! I don’t know the original home from the movies but your version of the home is so very nice! Very nice exterior of the home! The layout and furnishing of the interior looks very nice! The floral conservatory is very pretty! The patterned curtains and armchairs in the family room with the tv and books is very pretty also! Very nice colour schemes of each of the rooms in the home! The dining room looks very special!
It is a very detailed build and special build !
Thanks so much @rosemow! I'd never seen the movies or the series and it doesn't have much on the net about the home but I did find 4 of the movies to watch and google maps showed me the shape of the home so I do hope I am close!
@jonluke32, I did try to find as much as I could on the home, I hope this is close enough for you! Feel free to add any details I may have missed. If you redo the sitting room from Jake's house, I'd love to see a picture of what it looks like!
@romagi1, you did a fabulous job bringing the show's Grey House into Sim life! I haven't seen the show either, but from the clips and pictures I looked at, you really did do a great job replicating the rooms to the show's likeness. And the grounds, gardens and patios are beautiful. Looking forward to seeing this in game. Kudos to you!!!
Wonderful recreation of the Grey House @romagi1 . I'm impressed with the amount of time you put into research to get as close as possible to the show. Hopefully your requester will appreciate this lovely home. Well done! Off to rec and download to check it out better in game

@romagi1 Thank you so much for building this house for me. You create such beautiful houses so I know this one is going to be wonderful too
Am I reading the request right? You have one male parent? Yes he will be just moving a baby mama in until she gives birth. I'm not sure if I mentioned this in the request but the my sim is a werewolf.
Would you like a play area in the backyard? Yes a small playground area would be nice
Pool or a hot tub? Yes on both If possible of course
I looked around SV and there are at least 3 40 x 40 empty lots. Will that size be OK? 40 x 40 works for me
I had thought about putting your roommates in the basement and then I got it in my head that they should be over the garage, and their rooms turned out big enough for a small one bedroom apartment. I've some WIPS in the next post down. Just kind of threw some things in to see how things were fitting. They have their own outside entrance and a hall above the daycare that they can get to the kitchen and the gym in the basement, The hall is wide enough to put a shared washer and dryer in there unless you'd rather not? Let me know if you think the rooms are too big and I'll see what I can do.
I like the idea of having the apartments for the roomies over the garage and the floor plan looks perfect for me. You have everything they need in their own little area so they really don't need much more access. In this challenge I'm not allowed to use a washer and dryer until the third season in Twinbrook so I can't use them in this house. In the nursery if possible can you put a TV in there for kids TV? Everything else looks fine to me.
I have never tried the Daycare or roommates, so this should be interesting! I always keep a sim in while I'm building, as it's easier to save and test things as I go.
The Daycare has that other room for the noisy activities. I was just checking room sizes. Things will change a bit as I start adding more.
On the laundry, do you want hampers so they have to go to the laundry mat or nothing at all to do with laundry?
For the roomies are you going to set it for male or female or leave it whatever? Was wondering if you were going to get the baby mama's from the roomies?
EDIT: So mayhaps I should of read about daycare before I built the house! (rolls eyes) Anyway, I thought once you joined Daycare you would be able to set one of the doors for daycare. Not so. The parents drop the kids off inside the front door. So with the house laid out as before you would need to set the daycare door as the front door for everybody. I took out the daycare section and pulled the dining and kitchen over to the garage. So you would have a larger eat in kitchen and could use the dining room for the daycare. I have a WIP. See which way you like it better.
@romagi1 I like the way you have it set up in the picture because that will also cover what happens at the end of that career too. At first you only get toddlers but towards the end you not only get toddlers but you get kids that come home from school also. Usually you have to provide them with a space to do their homework, entertainment and give them a snack. With the kitchen and dining area close to the daycare room it would make life much easier. The way you have it set up in that last photo has plenty of room for when using an interaction connected to the day care career, tell tale. The sin can tell stories and all the kids sit around and watch him which is a super cute interaction.
On the roomies you read my mind was going to ask for female roomies in hopes the game would generate a suitable baby mama.
I rather not have any laundry items at all in this house.
@Piazzagirl1015, I really need to learn to start marking my pics when I have an either or question! LOL I wanted to make sure if it was the last picture or the last picture I posted. So... I have marked them A or B so I can make sure I work on the correct one!
Wonderful recreation of the Grey House @romagi1 . I'm impressed with the amount of time you put into research to get as close as possible to the show. Hopefully your requester will appreciate this lovely home. Well done! Off to rec and download to check it out better in game
I know @soocoolsim, I think I spent as much time researching as I did building!
@Piazzagirl1015, I put a basement in so I could put the gym down there but if you'd rather not have the basement I have room on the second level where the bedrooms and apartments are for the gym.
If I put the gym in the basement I'd have room for a sauna, bath and massage table off of it??
