I`m going to show some of my festival lot builds and run a tutorial on how to build these yourself.I`ll showcase some of the festival lots I built first. You will need to know how seasonal lot markers are used and how they work. There's a link to a tutorial about finding and using these markers.

I started this off like any normal build and constructed the building as a community hall first.I placed the objects I didn`t want seasonally next.I went to edit town to save the game and the build.I had to use two cheat codes to make the lot change seasonally.I rezoned the lot as a festival grounds firs tbefore jumping out to edit town to save.
I hit CTL+Shift+C to open the cheat window before I typed(testingcheatsenabled true)and hit enter.I reopened the cheat window and typed(buydebug on) and pushed enter again.I went into build and buy mode on the lot and went into buy in catagories and saw an extra buy tab with a question mark on it.look under Misc. tab for a ball shaped object called a seasonal lot spawner and place it on the lot.The buydebug tab looks like this ? in buy mode. You have to hit CTL+Shift together and click on the ball to get the lot into seasonal modes. It goes into construction mode, common mode, spring mode, summer mode, fall mode, and winter mode. You have to lock common mode objects each time you change season modes.

It is great to see the 2 festival lots that you have built. They look fun places for our sims to visit and enjoy seeing the different items through the various seasons and doing the different seasonal activities. Great to read your tutorial on how to create festival lots. It will be helpful for people creating these types of lots. :)

The best way to build a festival lot is to start building it like any normal build and keep working with trips to edit town often to save your progress in the build until you're finished with the normal build and have the building structure done. You don't use any cheats at all until you've finished building and place all buy mode objects you want there all of the time.I will provide lists of the needed items later.

    BASIC STRUCTURE ON FESTIVAL LOT
The first step is to flatten the lot you want to use for the festival lot and rezone it as a large park. You enter in build mode and build the outline of the building.
    screenshot_original.jpg
You go up a level and build another over the first one and put the wall covering on the outside walls. You add floor tile at the top before putting a roof on manually.
    screenshot_original.jpg
You build the walls to define the washrooms and the shower stalls. The next step is ti go up and add flooring to some of that level.
    screenshot_original.jpg
I finally got the siding up and a big barn door up.
    screenshot_original.jpg
I still have to work in the basement and add the stairways and partition out the washroom area downstairs.
    screenshot_original.jpg
I'll also put a railings up on the upper level and to stop off the drop-off above the basement.I'll also add windows, doors, archways and lights.

I'll have the objects to add to this festival lot after I've got window, doors,
stairways, railings, and lighting. That comes before adding in common mode objects and the seasonal lot marker is added after you're done with the rest.

Making The Lot Into A Festival Lot
This is where you rezone the lot into a festival lot in edit town and start using the cheats needed to make a working seasonal festival lot.
    1) Open the cheat window and type in(testingcheatsenabled true) and hit enter.
    2) Reopen the cheat window and type (buydebug on) and enter.
    3) Enter the festival lot in build mode and switch to buy mode and to catagories where you'll see an extra ? button which is the buydebug catagory.
4)Look in Misc. section for a seasonal lot marker and place it on the lot. You'll need to press Ctrl+Shift together each time you switch modes with the marker.
    5) You''ll want common mode first and to lock common mode objects.Lock CM objects each time you change modes and when you deactivate the cheats.
    6) The next mode is construction mode and very little is needed there.
    7) Spring Mode comes next and you'll want everything intended for the spring festival there including the soccer goal or roller rink.
    8) This is for summer mode and this is where you want water balloon fights and sprinklers as well as water slides.Fireworks are also summer things.
    9) Fall mode is next and you set up the fall festival here.
    10) The final festival mode is winter and it also needs to be set up before you set the festival name and lock common mode objects in place before you prepare to disable the cheats.
    11) Type in (buydebug off) after opening the cheat window and enter. The next thing is reopen the cheat window and type in(testingCheatsenabled false) and enter before you exit back to edit town. You will have to disable the cheats if you have to break up the building to save a few times.

    FINISHING THE FESTIVAL LOT BUILD
You have to go over your lot after you've done everything to make sure you didn't forget anything you wanted to add to the lot.
    VICTORIAN FESTIVAL HALL

These pictures were taken with the cheats active.
    screenshot_original.jpg
I used (testingcheatsenabled true) and (buydebug on) to take this picture.
    screenshot_original.jpg
I entered (testingCheatsenabled false) after typing (buydebug off) to turn the cheats off.I went to edit town to save after that.

I've done some improvements to the library lot in Bridgeport with adding skill items for all ages, treadmills and bookcases with skill books to the inventory in the library.
I've got pictures and a download link in the first picture.

It is great that you have added bookcases with skill books in them to the Bridgeport library. It will be very helpful for sims when they want to read there and build up their skills. Sims will enjoy doing painting on the easels that you have placed there. Sims will like using the treadmills there to keep fit and build up athletic skill. A sims family can go there together, and some members can read a book whilst others use the various skill items to do some athletics training. It is a great library! :)

rosemow Thanks for noticing the library which was useless without skill items.I'm sorry about taking so long to reply because I had to get caught up on gameplay before patching and Flickr changed their layout and it caused some of my pictures to become glitched so I had to go through and check all of them to make sure there weren't any more glitched ones.
