Neighborhood Thoughts?

First off, let me apologize. I have no idea how to actually show images in this post, I've tride before and failed xD

From the few screenshots that they've shown, what do you guys think about the look of the neighborhood so far from the small glimpses we've had?

Personally I think it looks amazing. The lighting and colors look beautiful, and I love the detailing.

I know you are impressed and that is just fine. That's great, but I'm not feeling it.

First the first link, the screen shot makes me think there is some kind of film over the scene. It drives me crazy. You know like the clear film over any gadget you buy these days that has that protection film over the screen. It really does look like that.

Then look at the water in the background, is that up to par? not to me, especially in the left hand corner of the body of water...you can see where the tiles of water terrain fit together...bothersome.

The second link is somewhat better, but of course I see things wrong with it. The house, let me just say the posts holding up the back balcony look like they may crush at any moment from the weight of the balcony. It just seems out of sync somehow..and the roof.

And the third picture. You know everyone thinks this proves open world..no it doesn't...because if you notice the car in the first picture is stopped exactly where the house's property line ends.

Does this mean this proves the hood isn't open though? no, but I find it curious it is parked directly where a 'portal' to go off lot would normally be in TS1 and or TS2. Think about it. It's parked exactly at the beginning of the fence and where the house lot ends. Makes me think 'portal'...like in TS2. Sorry.

It's blurred, the colors are saturated too much for my tastes and some constructions of the homes seem like they really don't make sense in architecture, and I find the surrounding body of water, the grass etc. without much detail at all..no textures...and that is also bothersome..if I could just remove the 'film' over everything I might like it but at the moment..no.

ETA: don't mean to bring down your thread. You ask, and I gave my honest impression. ETA: if someone would like to see the difference without using CC..then build this scene (first picture) of the house and surrounding terrain etc. in TS3 and or even TS2..place 3 Sims outside and upload...I will be happy to point out what I mean by grass textures, blurred vison etc.

I'm loving the picture where the sims are exercising and still holding a conversation!

The other pictures do sort of look "filmy" and I'm hoping as time progresses we'll see sharper, more in-focused screen shots. But all in all I do like what I've seen so far.

Yeah, I think they look awesome, too.

I see Cinebar's points, too, but I have to say that I do prefer the looks of TS4 over TS3. From the sims themselves to the world views that I've seen so far.
