There will definitely be a pets, weather, vacation, and probably a late night/nightlife/hot date kind of expansion.
I bet there will be some kind of supernatural type one, and possibly a freetime/sporty like one.
Hopefully an open for business, since that's the most requested.
Hopefully they do make more new themes instead of recycling the whole time.

We really need to have an expansion pack that lets us travel to space. It would be great if you could take a trip on a shuttle and go to space station, where you can work on skills you will need that will let you then take space missions to moons, planets, and beyond. a life state could be you can find and adopt a few kinds of alien creatures, and maybe find sentient alien beings, that can join your family.
it would provide a never before done storyline potental to the sims games, and would have alot of great collectable opertunities.
maybe on some planets, you will find puzzles to solve that can unlock technology that can then be taken back to your world, and it would effect them. maybe you discover the secret to fusion power, and can build a fusion generator that will power your house, and you can sell the excess power to the grid, and make money.
Or, you can discover a plant growing on a planet that can cure a illness, and when you take it back, your discovery nets you some nobel prize style award, and sims in your world will never get that illness again.
Also, it would be fun if they made an expansion pack that took the house boat idea to its next leve: cruise ships. you can take a cruise to new destinations, and the ship would act like a giant houseboat lot, with activities to do while you travel. you can visit islands that have WA style adventures, and discover new collectables and growables. you could find an island with a volcano in the middle, and find extra rare gems and metals.
There should be a sims superstar kind of expansion, but instead of having lame celebrity status like in the sims3, you can become a real celebrity, be it an actor, rockstar, author, artist, and you would be able to travel to other towns, and you would have more interaction with your craft.
As a writer, you would pick elements for your story, and a genre, and could plot the book out, and get it published (you wouldn't just automaticlly be published in the beginning. you would have to get an agent first, and to do that, you have to network with other authors, and see if they would read your book, and write a blurb promoting it. if you get an agent, and the book is well written and plotted, you would then become published.) Your sucess would not simply be based on your writing skill, but how you plot the book, and what is popular in the world at the time (though no too popular, otherwise, your book has alot of competition in the same area of writing).
The other ones would be similer. an actor has to work around town doing bit parts in commercials and being an extra, and work to get noticed. once they do, they have to do some lousy scripts for tv shows and movies, until they are established enough to be able to demand rewrites, or rejects scripts (which when a sim reads, you would get a popup with the summery, and offered paycheck and royalties.) You also can't be sure if a movie will be a flop or a hit, so you have to face the ups and down. it would be similer for a singer.
Artists would have to work to develop their own style, and once you get the skills, you would have a design a painting, or design a scultpure option, where you can pick elements, place them on the canvas, and create unique piantings and sculptures. how well known you are, and how well you place the elements in a peice would define how people react to it. you would be able to explain your inspiration, and how established you are defines the chance people accept or disagree with you.
Sims 4 City Life: Similar to Night Life and Late Night just with more of a focus on the city itself (and shops, there should definitely be shops).
Sims 4 In The Sky: Everything to do with aircraft and mountains... in fact anything that's above and beyond the range of Sims 3 cameras. It's never been done before so why not? They need to open up the skies more.
The cruiseship sounds interesting. As an EP, it could be something like a sub-hood, which you can play in when traveling on board.
Some ideas will DEFINITELY return: Pets is nice, maybe some new minor pets, or maybe they can introduce a new bigger type (like horses came with 3) or they can really expand on the bigger wildlife, perhaps big cats, wolves, foxes, return of unicorns and werewolves (and maybe a new cat-related lifestate) etc.
Season... :roll: meh, I personally don't really care about it :?
And here's MY new idea: A reality show EP, in which your Sim can earn fame/money/fun by participating in Sim parodies of Big Brother, The Mole, Survivor etc. With the new intelligence and the emotions, it's far more easier to simulate the behavior of NPC contestants.
