Twinbrook Industrial Train Center

Does anyone know if you can change this lot's type? Its hidden on the map and town edit screen, so it's a Hidden Tomb. It's ideal for transformation into a rebel hangout, being right next door to the criminal warehouse and all.

I can build on it with cheats, but I'd like people aside from my sims to go there autonomously, which requires a lot type change.

There are 2 sites in the area you mention, one is actually on the Criminal Warehouse lot (looks like a small warehouse) and the other larger building sits behind it on another lot with the train track running past.

To answer your question I've built in both of these and they make excellent venues.
The one that shares the criminal lot, I've made into a small club along the lines of a vampire lounge. The other larger building has a bowling alley downstairs and dance bar upstairs.
I honestly can't remember offhand which lot types I used, but it would either be hangout or visitors allowed. Wasn't sure if it would work but they both function well and are always busy.

Don't remember using cheats to have to build on them.

I already started converting the little building on the criminal warehouse lot into a rebel hangout, I assume I can lot change it and still have the warehouse function. The train station I can build on if I shift click "Build/Buy here" but aside from that, I cant do anything with it. It would be a much better site for a rebel hangout, with all that space to practice street art.

As it happens my Twinbrook family are criminals, so I can confirm the Criminal warehouse functions properly even when you build on the smaller building.
I just checked in game and I have it set to a Vampire Lounge.

The other larger building behind it sits on 1247 Riverview Road and I have that set to Hangout.
I'm really not sure why you can't build on it without using the cheat code, I certainly don't remember that and just toggled the options when in Edit Town mode, setting it to commercial etc. Wonder why that option doesn't appear in your game?
I wouldn't have thought to build there if I hadn't seen someone else mention it quite a while ago.
If you want a smaller hangout there is empty space to the left of the stadium which will take a 30 x 20 lot and I put the dive bar which sits in the lot bin onto that.
    Good luck!

If possible, can you get a screenshot showing the station with the hangout map tag? By default its a hidden tomb lot, and has no tag, nor will anyone visit it.

I didn't even know it was a lot.... as it didn't have a map tag.... I always wanted to build on that lot... change it... and yes it would be perfect for a rebel hang out.....

the one with the criminal I made to an underground casino...

I'll certainly try and get screen shots for you, but haven't ever posted pics on here before so will have to figure out how to do so. I know I've got a few interior shots of the building in question as one problem I encountered was wild horses always turning up inside and those screenshots are on my launcher.

I upload my screenshots by using a site like photobucket and uploading directly from the Screenshots folder in the Sims 3 directory in My Documents
