Hi Ami ... Elodie is already unpacking all the fabulous wallart that you have created ... I am sooo glad that you have managed to make some time in between getting 'Al Medina' ready to become a part of this project too!!!
Thought I'd let you all know that Prisca has made a brilliant job of recreating everyone's stalls and has a wonderful display herself - love the Teddy Bears' Picnic!!!... and I think each and every one of your contributions is just amazing!!
I'm afraid I may not get the lot ready for upload today  ... hope it will be all right with everyone if I aim for Sunday evening my time.
A note to Zoo: As I am a fully assimilated drone of the Zoo U hive there is no need for a wishlist
Just taking part in this venture has been so much fun ... and by the way ... where is YOUR wishlist may i ask??? :hunf: ... we would love to shower you with gifts for coming up with such a marvellous idea in the first place!!!
Hello AmaraRena There will soon be a build that everyone can download that will contain many stalls with all the great photo artwork on it! There will be stalls that contain the photos that simmers have done for this project.
The download link for the build will be posted here.
Then I shall eagerly (and IMPATIENTLY!) await it! LOL
I have to echo the others so far... Ami, the artwork is brilliant! I cannot wait to make it my own! I too would love to learn the default color technique... when you get the chance, I know how busy you've been.
Thank you for the lovely compliment Hidehi, I had your wonderful lot to work with, and I was just recreating others great talent. I really wanted to put Teddies in for Rose, so found some I liked. Funny thing, I had already done some artwork that sort of went with the Teddies. The art is by Bev Doolittle, one of the pieces is called "Bugged Bear". Really cute in person. Yes, I do own several of the pieces I used, not to brag or anything.
Take the time you need, we are at the home stretch... don't stress yourself!
AAAAANNNNNDDDD!!!!! ZOO!!! I had lovely little presents in my box!
Thank you... don't you know this course was a huuuuge present?
I CANNOT believe I forgot to add any pictures of teddy bears to my lot! I even did a search on Teddy Bear's Picnic and then got so entranced with my movie poster idea I entirely forgot about teddies.
Hidehi: When you DECORATE my lot you might slip an actual teddy bear in there somewhere if you think of it. We HAVE to support our Rose who is the best giver of feedback on the Sims site.
By the way, Sunday evening is just fine for the upload. We want it to be RIGHT, not just quick. Thank you again for making the lot. I know we've assimilated you and all, and you walk around advertising Zoo U even when you don't mean to, but I STILL would love to give you a few Wishlist tokens. I will be searching to see if it is still empty on Sunday as I come to your page to download our project lot!
P-Pup: I'm so glad you liked your gifts! I know you are in the Zoo U Hive as well, but you did work worthy of a Queen and not a Drone on this project! Extra pollen for you!
I don't have a Wishlist because I own the Store. The "Spirit of India" (that might not be the real name) was the only thing recently that I thought I could stand to not own immediately, so I broke it up into Wishlist items (due to peer pressure from people on my build team and people who participate in Zoo U), but earlier this week a very kind Simmer leaped in and gifted me the last four things, so now I own everything again.

Hi, AmaraRena! *waves*
Welcome to Zoo U!
I expect that Hidehi will have our class project up this weekend sometime. She built the base lot and it looked AMAZING, so much so that her classmates unanimously asked that that be our class project lot.
Priscapup (P-Pup to her friends, or sometimes just Pup) was our project leader. She got everyone herded in the right direction and put the artwork into the stalls as per the guidance of the person making that art for that particular stall.
I am so proud of both of them AND of all the other fabulous Zoo U students who contributed artwork to this project. I am as anxious as you are to download it. This is like a new Store set, except it is FREE!
P-Pup brings up a good point: What should our next Zoo U class be?
Does anyone have a good idea? Is there a technique you guys want to learn? If it is not something I'm comfortable teaching I will find us a teacher.
I haven't ever messed with festival lots and coding things so that they appear for each season. I would like to learn how to do that. I'm sure I could figure it out with the tutorials that are out there, but somehow having a class with a teacher available to ask questions of just appeals more to me (maybe because I AM a teacher in real life).
I could also see a good class on making a dock that is a Sim's home base and then recoding it so that the Sim's houseboat could dock there. I think it would also be fun to modify an EA world with dive lots. I've seen tutorials for all of these ideas as well, but I think a class might still be good.
The one thing that sways me away from either of these ideas is that they are both EP specific. Festival lots and items that appear for each season are dependent on having the Seasons EP. All the stuff with docks, houseboats, and dive lots is Island Paradise EP dependent.
We have done that before (the tomb building class was only good for those with WA), but I try to avoid it when possible.
Here is something I would really LOVE to learn, but it is also EP specific. I would love to learn how to use CAS for pet-making. I don't have problems with making Sims, but I am terrible with pets... I would love to learn how to make the pet coats using the different layers... that is so difficult! I would like to be able to make a nice horse, dog, and cat for my games.
Just something I'd like to be able to do personally, and if I had step-by-step instructions, it would save me a lot of hair pulling.

You know who is GREAT at this, at least for horses? Cressie! She hasn't been around in ages, but her virtual horse breeding is amazing.
Do you know of someone else who is really good at it?
I just went and posted on Ruthy's wall that if she would like to come and teach a Zoo U class IN ANYTHING we would love to have her. I mentioned that maybe a class in Victorians or a class in general interior décor might be well-received, what do you think about either of those ideas?

Hello Zoo, I love the idea of perhaps a class in victorians or interior design. I've seen some of Ruth's houses lately from the showcase and they are all incredibly awesome!
At first I was going to suggest landscaping but double checking in the master thread, there already is one Thanks again for these amazing classes Zoo
An animal creator who in my opinion makes absolutely amazing pets ... mostly horses, but also dogs and wild animals ... is LittleV (by the way I only presume LittleV is female sorry if I'm wrong) ... here's the link to her 'My Page'
Must admit I haven't seen LittleV around for a while either and I wouldn't know if she would agree to share her expertise.
I really like the idea of a class to learn how to create festival lots ... I can't seem to get my head around how to do it on my own ... it's just too mind boggling.
But anything ruthless could teach us would be awesome too!!!

You are SO welcome! I get a lot out of these classes, too, even the ones that I'm teaching. When you have to stop and decide how to EXPLAIN something, you do a better job of analyzing it and improve your own skills. Plus new stuff often comes up when students and teacher begin to interact that you just never thought of on your own. Same things happen in my math classes at work!

I am a HUGE LittleV fan, too, but I don't know if she plays any longer. I don't know her personally. I will try looking on her page.
Make that number three HUGE LittleV fan here! I have tons of her horses downloaded, they are fabulous in game! I also have some of Cressie's, really nice! And some of k2m1too, I think that is her name, really nice. It's hard, because so many of them now have lots of CC in them, and I would love to just learn to make nice coats, without all the CC and the custom sliders.
Ruthy is fabulous, can't go wrong with anything you can learn from her! Love her stuff!
I am leaving early in the morning, heading to Wyoming to driving the Monster Truck back where it belongs. Was going to pick up my Lincoln, but Hubby decided we would fly back and buy a new car for here. If I have to. I won't have my laptop, so I can't grab our lot until I return, either Wednesday or Thursday... oh, I'm gonna be dancing around wanting it!
Everyone have a blast with it, and I'll try to stay in touch on the iPad!

WHOOT FOR PUP'S NEW CAR!
Take care, Sweetie, and we'll see you in a few days.
Hi all, I've had an unexpected family-invasion this afternoon with everyone expecting dinner so I'm afraid I have not been able to get the lot completely finished to upload yet.
As Prisca said ... we are on the home stretch ... so I very much hope a few more hours won't make that much of a difference.
Suepea has let me know that she has been so busy in RL that she may not be able to get the artwork done. While I get everything sorted I'll be looking out just in case she has the chance to upload a sim ... I could add her photos at the last minute.
Prisca, I hope you'll have a good trip and enjoy the new car!!
Hello Hidehi Please just enjoy having your family with you. You are much more important than the build. It doesn't matter if the finishing and uploading of it is delayed. Enjoy the time with your family.

Real life happens! We'll get the lot when you are finished with it.
I was thinking of making a fresh Zoo U thread for that class build (that way we can title it something that makes it clear that it is a build and not a class). As soon as you post here with the link to the lot I will make a thread for it (but I won't get to that until tomorrow afternoon at the earliest).
Thank you Rose I thoroughly enjoyed the hustle and bustle of having my family around me!! They've all gone home now though so I can get back to the build without feeling guilty.
Zoo, I'll probably need a few more hours before I'm satisfied it's okay to upload. Slight possibility it will still be the 13th your time when that happens ... keep fingers crossed ...
Hello Hidehi, like Rose and Zoo said it doesn't matter if it's delayed a while, spending your time with family is important, I'm glad you enjoyed that time tonight
Hi there! I agree, please take your time and enjoy your family time, Hidehi
Thanks everyone for the lovely comments!
Count me in as another LittleV fan! I would LOVE a class on pets. I think that would be very popular. And of course I would enjoy whatever RuthlessKK might teach, too.
and congrats on the car, Priscapup! And please give my favorite state a wave when you get home
and I will definitely write up a little how-to for recolors, maybe by tomorrow. There are some great guides out there I can link to, as well.
Phew ... I've lost a lot of blood, sweat and tears ... but I have finally managed to upload our class project ... I have no idea why it ended up being such a large file??? ... I just hope that everything is in order ...

Well done for a brilliant class effort everyone!! Hope very much that simmers will enjoy this build and all our artwork it contains!
It's been an absolutely brilliant course Zoo and I am really looking forward to the next one whatever subject you will offer!!!

Happy simming everyone!!!
