And I see that the shell you posted looks fairly complete as far as the walls and stuff, we'd be allowed to change that right? Whoever makes the walls, make sure the master and en suite are fairly big please and thank you! :P

I just posted up a random unfinished build I had in my game. I wouldn't have a problem with anyone moving walls since that wasn't part of my assignment lol.

Jodi it's BEAUTIFUL! I especially love that pic of the bathroom with the candles on the wall. Why did I never think to arrange them that way??? :P

Jenn how's the build and share going? I want to take a number but I have no time for anything till next month so I don't think I should commit. Plus my game keeps crashing, so I'm done with it for a little while lol.

Thanks Jen. I have learned so much from and been inspired by all the members of the DDSBA. Building with the intent to share with others takes a lot more attention to detail than when I am using the build for myself. This build has been so time consuming especially when I think I have finished a room and then decide to move it to the other side of the house (because of stair placement).

^ This definitely! That pic is very beautiful! I love seeing all these new builds, they keep giving me ideas I can "borrow" (if you don't mind?) for my builds too

I am not sure its a good time to start this project as most people are sending me messages that they want to participate but are busy.

I don't know how you guys would like to proceed. I would be more than happy to change one of my full builds and empty the items for people who did sign up. We can just as easily try this again next month, or later in the rotation, however. Just let me know what you folks would like to do.

I keep forgetting to post over here sorry  .

I commented on the builds in the other forum, but not here yet, so I will start with that.

Meg: That Restaurant/bar build is more amazing every single time I look at it, I watch a lot of kitchen nightmare's, it really reminds me of a cute little European Pub. I have set here staring at the upstairs area so many times, it is perfect  . I have to ask though what word did you type in the description that they edited out? Do you know how you did in the competition yet?

Jenn: The House you made looks Great :D . It reminds me of the really nice houses you see out here in the country where I live. I can picture it setting up on the side of a hill with a big fenced in yard. Great job  !!

I would like to work on your group build, like I said in the other forum, I just don't want to slow down the build if I have to take a few days because of RL stuff. Maybe you could put me down for 4 or 6 and then rearrange the numbers some so my time would come later? I really do think it is a great idea, and would love to contribute.

Jodi: I LOVE this house so much  , it looks like something I would build, I love the way Modern buildings look. That Bathroom, OMG, the little stands behind the bathtub looks great, and the wall lights arranged like that is beautiful. ( I really wish I had known about moving wall objects up and down before now.) I can't wait for this to get done  .

Okay here is my latest build I posted in the other forum but I forgot to post it over here. And Jen is going to come through the computer and beat me if I don't :P :wink:

My latest build in progress: Paseo Toro (Bull Ride), I designed the outside based on a Longhorn Steakhouses.

I will have to temporarily delete the street lamps and traffic lights from the world before I take pics again, they get all in the way.

Hey everyone, I finally fixed my perfect CAS "accident" Sim :D. He was randomized by the game when I was making my DD households and he was just too perfect not to keep. I changed a few outfits and edited his traits a bit but that's it. Mr. Tall Dark and Handsome! (Ok all Sim adults are the same height but still...)

Also, luv's contest goes longer than I though so I might have time for it. The plan: blended modern/traditional Japanese... Google Images inspiration FTW! Hope to start it tomorrow. Also, if there's no rush on Jenn's build-n-share then I would take a room! Whatever's left.

I was trying to use the Bistro set and make a neat restaurant but it won't let me use the menu unless the Sim is setting at a chair. I was testing trying to use the booths, I had the table working with the booths, where I could make food and eat it at the table like this.

    Screenshot_4.jpg
Not really using the table but it appears like it enough.

But when I set up a little test bistro. It says it has to be at a chair.

    Screenshot_3.jpg

So I guess I will set up the inside the same, now though, I will only put menus at the table and chair set ups and not at any booths, it would be cool if they fix this so you can make working booths too.

Thanks for the compliments Jenn and Brett which mean a lot coming from great builders like you.

Jenn, what if the people who signed up take more than one task? I really love this idea to share the build.

Edit - Brett, every time I scroll past your restaurant, I can't get over how realistic it looks. It is only the sign in Simlish and the Sim standing on the sidewalk that gives it away.

Multiple rooms would be fine with me. Waiting till people have time is fine, Im good with whatever. I get so many ideas I want to do but once im in game I forget half of them lol. I have a running list of things to get started on, and instead I just played a family for 2 hours lol. I missed outdoor tiki party because of it. Hopefully I can get it next time its up ; )

Tisen, I have the restaurant but haven't spent much time playing it. In the prebuilt place the menus are all on bistro tables, maybe try moo, then play test it to see if it works on booth?

Meg it turned out really awesome. I am trying to find a place to start commenting on but my mind is in overload, I love so many things about it; the sloped yard, the color choice on the walkway, the Orange recolors in the kitchen/dining room/living room (the brick parts especially), the column thing in the table, the material/texture choice on the dining room/living room rugs (very futuristic), the yellow bedroom is the best (I love the heart photo thing and the pattern on the rug), the turquoise texture on the floor in the bathroom (you picked great pattern choices and really vibrant color choices in every room, they work so well in a futuristic house), and is that a walk-in shower  ?!. PHEW and that isn't even everything I like about it. Great work   and good luck in the contest.

Meg, the house is great. The whole place is great, but I wanted to note the walk-in shower, the purple bathroom and the yellow bedroom. The recoloured pillows (that sit on the floor) look so much better than the original colours in the game.
