Description: This split design and function botanical gardens offers a viewing of various plants found around the sim world. The pride and joy of the gardens is the peace bell, a gift from Shang Simla to symbolize the friendship between our two countries which can be found in the large gazebo. With a walk through arid garden, a small rose garden, and a Japanese style garden the Eldelusha Botanical Gardens is sure to have something for any plant loving or nature loving sim.
Just FYI my Winslow house has a little prob when placed on any lot but the one I built it on  . It does that funny raised-lot thing where the whole lot is raised up and sims can't access it. I have exported a fixed version but have to make sure it really is fixed when placed on another lot before I upload. However, it's an easy fix.
Go to Edit Town mode and open the cheat window; type setimportedterrainoffset -1. Place the lot, rotate if necessary, and accept. You should be able to see that it is flat. Back in Edit Town, change the cheat to setimportedterrainoffset 0 so the rest of the lots you place don't sink. Hope this helps!
This is a formal Victorian garden laid out quilt-style. Built for <a href="http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/list/738820.page">Laella's "Landscape A Garden/Park Competition #1"</a> this was quick compared to a full house or commercial lot but SO MUCH FUN! It turned out beautifully. Your sims can walk the grounds or sit on a bench and read in peace. It is a simple lot built for simple pleasures. Playtested & CC-free, as always.
"Queen V wanted a garden. No average garden would do. The Queen wanted a Victorian garden... a formal garden meticulously arranged... a perfect balance of variety and symmetry... a masterpiece. Listen to the softly falling water, walk the paths with a loved one or sit in peace and gaze on the color and life all around. Dedicated to lizbethbear."
And this last one is how it looks with The Secret Garden (coming to my studio tonight) behind it. I suggest placing 2 30x30 lots together - one could even be off the road - and matching up the arched sides.
"Come hide away in The Secret Garden. Stargaze, create art, hold your lover, or test your logic. Eat at the bistro or read in the library. Also a playground for children and more! Live the beauty. Inspired by the book The Secret Garden."
And this last one is how it looks with Queen V's Victorian Garden. I suggest placing 2 30x30 lots together - one could even be off the road - and matching up the arched sides.
"Inspired by the book The Secret Garden, this home is a residential version of my park The Secret Garden. Fully furnished, decorated and upgraded and move-in ready. 3 bedrooms, 2 full and 3 half baths, kitchen, dining, sitting, library, laundry plus a finished basement ready to be filled. And did I mention the spectacular gardens?"
Please note: Apparently my CFE use in the corner for the Stargazer's garden acts up a bit on lot placement. The 1-tile edges of the platform angle up. To fix, turn on CFE (constrainfloorelevation false), clone the brick pattern tile with the eyedropper tool, and drag accross the platform. It will flatten out. Turn CFE off (constrainfloorelevation true) and you're set. Silly game!
Family starter home with 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, eat-in kitchen and living room. Sleeps 4 plus a crib. Priced under $16,000. Fully upgraded. No CC. Dedicated to lizbethbear.
Here is my loft entry for the small spaces contest! Also, I will update lot postings on the first page one of these days soon. Kinda hoping Meg comes back from Minecraft so we can figure out the new Majix and any other towns. Unless someone out there is good with CAW???
"Elegant, eccentric, sexy and modern. The Evelyn is all these things and more. This loft packs big style into a small space. Living, dining, and sleeping spaces flow seamlessly together and offer everything a single Sim (or couple!) could need. Bold colors and sensuous curves are a feast for the eyes. (Just don't try to use the fireplace, it's automatic!)"
Built for Aricarai's "Small Space, Big Style: A Studio/Loft Contest", this house may be the most challenging one I've ever done. It's TINY. It uses CFE (constrainfloorelevation) a LOT, and that's difficult. It's TINY. Hehe. However, I'm very happy with it and it's fun to play. It has been thoroughly playtested. On occasion, Sims want to path oddly due to the CFE, and a few times the game acted as though they had sunk through the floor and were stuck. I believe all these issues have been ironed out. However, if your Sim gets stuck, and resetsim doesn't work, use moveobjects on and move them. This did not happen again though after tweaking some things, it's just an "in case" warning! Also, the fireplace is inaccessible with the coffee table there, but it is set to autolight. If you'd rather your sims have access, delete the coffee table.
"Everyone deserves a romantic getaway. Find yours at The Blue Rose Bed & Breakfast! This grand Victorian has been fully renovated to cater to your every need. Choose from six luxury VIP suites, four of them with private balconies. Bring out your inner gourmet at the (24-hour) breakfast buffet, sit down to order from a full menu or order room service for a romantic night in your room. Relax with a book in the library or take a stroll in the beautiful gardens. Utilize the 24-hour wellness center, including the indoor pool, 24-hour gym, individual saunas and a massage parlor. Or, take advantage of our spa services and packages. Sit back and sip a drink or dance the night away in the luxurious lounge. Soak up some sun by the outdoor pool, have a drink at the swim-up bar or relax away the stress in the hot tub. Most services available around-the-clock! Enjoy your stay here at The Blue Rose!"
This has been on my to-do list FOREVER!! It's designed to look great across the street from my Red Rose Tea House & Cafe, and it does! Of course I forgot to get a pic of them both together... but I will! This was a lot of work and the stairs/elevators were a nightmare. See below!
Please note: The very bottom set of stairs do not work. I have no idea what is in their way, but I was so frustrated at the end I gave up. The elevators work fine. Also, since IP (apparently) stacked stairs can be bugged if not facing the right way. Sims go down but when they go up they turn right around and go back down. They are working in my game, but if you have trouble try facing your lot a different way. If you don't want to bother don't worry, the elevators work fine and for the NPCs if they won't use the elevators there are "servants' stairs" at the back of the building.
I went mia... sorry ... my pc died on me and I went ot the hospital (with no pc to sim on... so that was even more borring)
any way back with a strong pc...
how are your Building going?
I posted the Winners in my hunt... and started a new hunt.... and as I know I like your style, well I thikn some of you might have what I'm looking for.
this hunt is mainly for SHow time and Late night venues... but there is also a spa and a shop in the hunt... + the extras that can be basically anything.
I hope you Guys join this hunt aswell.... so I can help you get more store items and get closer to any CYS you might want.
I have been neglecting this thread. I hope the DDD formerly DDSBA spreadsheet is not too out of date. Hopefully around mid-April, I will be able to get back to two designs I have been working on. One will be for the reserved lot in Majix. The second will not be specifically for Majix; I see it more for Hidden Springs.
Megan and I haven't really kept the lot lists up-to-date either. It's on hold sort of, as we're realizing Majix is too big a world to fill and play smoothly. Actually, you pretty much get error 12 when it gets to the point where it is now - and there are still tons of empty lots! So we're tossing around ideas, we'll probably make a few smaller worlds and split up the builds. Some may overlap of course, like a lot of the community lots. Or, we'll place lots in the world they fit best and list lots needed for other worlds . I'm thinking a few different themes would be fun. A well-rounded world like Majix - so just a smaller Majix Cove, maybe a tropical world, maybe an old European world. Meg is the only one familiar with CAW though (I rather hate it and don't have the time or brainpower at this stage in life to get past where I'm stuck) and I'm not sure she LOVES it either lol. So unless someone else wants to CAW in collaboration with Meg this may be a slow project. But that's ok! We're all just using these lots in whatever worlds we want and they're fabulous!
"Escape to paradise at the Noski Lodge. No sunny beaches and palm trees here - we're cozy fires, heated pools and softly falling snow. Sit down to our award-winning buffets or order from the wait staff. Cuddle up in one of our ten VIP luxury rooms or relax in the lounge. Read from our library by a roaring fire, swim in the indoor/outdoor pool or steam it up in the hot tubs and sauna. Get a massage, go skating or play games. Noski Lodge is your year-round haven for a winter wonderland. Come away and escape!"
This is my entry for <a href="http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/list/740702.page"target="_blank">GreeenCats'"Perfect Lot, Perfect World: Build a Community Lot"</a> contest. While it's not truly a ski lodge since Sims can't ski, it IS a winter lodge resort full of warmth and fun amenities. There are 10 VIP rooms (5 different layouts), a 6-choice buffet, wait staff (using the Into the Future food replicators, but you could replace them with the Bistro ovens or just use that room for something else), full bar/lounge, indoor/outdoor pool with massage and sauna, ice skating, winter concessions and games, and lots of common area with cafes, libraries and indoor games. Thoroughly playtested, but I won't be surprised if I missed a few things. Let me know!
Beautiful lot Jen. Currently playing in LL...finally. But, I can see this in Hidden Springs or AS. Will definitely rec and download for later use. Miss you guys....again.
I've been MIA lately as well. Life is busy sometimes. I just wanted to pop in and say 'Hello' to all my old DDS friends as well as 'greetings' to anyone I haven't met. 8) I hope life is going well for everyone.
This thread is bookmarked and since my game is finally reinstalled...again...and nearly ready to go, I will most certainly be back to download, recommend, and enjoy as many of these awesome builds as I can in my game.
Great work, Everyone! (When I grow up, I hope I am able to be as creative as you guys.)
Well, it has been quiet in here for a while hasn't it!
Not that I have helped out much either!
Anyway, in the hope that my beautiful friends from the DDBSA might see this ...
I now bought almost everything I want from the Store and have a surplus of Simpoints so have decided to run a little lottery as a way of thanking everyone who has helped or inspired me, and other Simmers, over the years. And that list of great Simmers certainly includes all the contributors to this thread!
Because I know there are lots of people here who deserve thanks and rewards and I really cannot pick between them I have created a "Thank You" lottery to save me having to make that choice myself!
If you have been helped or inspired by someone, please click the link below and put their name forward for the draw so that I can give a little back to them on our behalf.

The Cowboy and the Mermaid
This thread is bookmarked and since my game is finally reinstalled...again...and nearly ready to go, I will most certainly be back to download, recommend, and enjoy as many of these awesome builds as I can in my game.
Great work, Everyone! (When I grow up, I hope I am able to be as creative as you guys.)
Thank you! :-)
