Oh, I have been bugging them believe me. The time before last the guy was very rude and closed my case. I guess that was supposed to teach me a lesson. I wasn't rude to him, I just wouldn't take "no" for an answer. I kept a copy of the chat transcript just in case. Then I immediately contacted them again and got the case re-opened and "escalated". I honestly don't know why anyone would play it outside of IP where it's set up to unlock an island. Wow, Sheila Dreams grew up nicely. I hope she finds a good husband. I got back from the neurologist today and I still don't have a firm diagnosis and epilepsy hasn't been completely ruled out but it's been bumped to the bottom of the suspects list. The most likely diagnosis would be "migraine variant". Whatever the heck that is. :?: :shock:
We weren't able to celebrate my birthday due to hubby being at work and daughter coming back late from camp, and me giving up waiting for them, so I took the dog out on the town and didn't get home until 7 pm myself. We had a rushed dinner but at least I did get cake! And today we stopped by Best Buy and I got Sims 3 University Life and 70's 80's 90's Stuff Pack.
They didn't have Island Paradise at the first Best Buy, but they had Dragon Valley by mistake. I didn't try to buy it and I was told at the second Best Buy I went to that it would not have been coded for checkout even if I'd tried. Neither the first nor the second Best Buy had Island Paradise. It showed up as in stock at the second one but the clerks searched to no avail. :?
But Amazon will have it here to me tomorrow.
All the EP's and SP's look so complex and look so chock full of really clashing themes. I hope that my computer can handle it all and I hope I can keep track of it all myself. With so many choices, I am going to just go bonkers!
Am currently trying to update Windows 7. My last update was 6 months ago! It just got hard to play when I had to move in with the paralyzed kitty (who is fine now). I only moved out of her room and back into my own bedroom about 3 months ago. Yes I love my kitty that much! I got so used to sleeping on the floor it took me awhile to get used to sleeping up on the bed, which is ridiculously high up off the ground to begin with.
So I will flounder around the new EP's for awhile trying to get my bearings for a few days. I was very hesitant to install and resume playing when I have so much housework that piled up (even though my husband did as much as he could). But all work and no play makes SummerSong a very cranky girl!

Yay, she's back! Have fun SS/JM - I know you will. Uni is real cool and that stuff pack has clothing in it that looks good at UNI too. Enjoy. SS, that is a new term to me as well as far as migraines go. I have simple plain ordinary Migraine with Aura and tunnel vision. That is all they have ever called it and I certainly never got seizures with them - but not really talking with others about such things it may be a new way or determining a specific type of migraine. I never went to a neurologist for a migraine either - I was sent to a heart specialist - which really didn't make much sense. Yours make more sense. At least that doctor works in that area. I do hope they find a solution and answers though.
AWWW, sorry to hear that Tamgie. I always hated it when people I worked with left to go elsewhere. I don't recall any retiring that I knew well, but I still understand that bit of lost feeling one gets when the place we are used to seeing someone is suddenly empty. Even worse when someone new comes in and takes that spot - til you get to know them anyway. Well you could always make a sim of her and then make her your sims neighbor. I know, probably a dumb idea. I seem to get a lot of dumb ideas lately. hehehe
Yep I have the new store set - but can't tell you anything about it yet. I was off making some sims for Quailhogs and now I am annoyed. I was very careful not to use any content from two packs -but for some reason it is still listing Seasons. On top of it - it shows content from the sim wearing that Victorian kitchen maids out ffit and I did not use that - it was what the default sim had on when I randomly spun the sims until I had a base I wanted to work with - had on. I don't get that. I did not put that on her, the game did and of course all that was changed when I finally got to wardrobe - but yet it shows in her download page. I knew it would happen to me - it always does. Glad I did not make all the ones I had planned on making - but those two took me 4 hours. I had to take a break to make dinner - so I uploaded them - then went back and checked them before I was to go back in CAS - and that is what I saw. I sent them over anyway as I know that content is not on them, I also think the game sets default Seasons where I have Seasons installed - so Rukaya I have no clue how you did not get Seasons on yours - so I ended up just picking the rest from some older version of other sims I have and sent them to him. I'm still annoyed I wasted 4 hours for nothing. I don't care how many hours I waste if things come out - but makes me furious when it fails - as I even stated it would - and it did.

Rflong - don't feel bad I have no ambition at all for running anything - not a restaurant or resort as I purely hated OFB and had such bad experiences with it - it still affects me all these years later - so as far as I am concerned they can be there - and the NPCS can have a ball with them as I am not the least bit interested. I do enjoy sending my sim to the restaurant - well 2 times anyway - but I have no inclination to run one. hehehe. I like the way business run in the coming Future pack - we have a mall and can shop and it will suit me fine as long as it runs itself. My only encounter with the IP resort - that real fancy one was when my sim had to deliver some produce there and they would not let her in. What kind of resort won't let a person in? Generally you do not have to stay at a resort to use their amenities as long as you pay. So I found that odd. Made me want to delete every last one of them as they are wasting my space. But I haven't... yet anyway.
But I do sympathize as nothing could make me run one. I will feel bad if you go to all that force play to check yours out and I know I am not even going to use it. It seems like the more I hear of the trouble people have with those the even less I am inclined. I am just liking all the water stuff.
OH my - getting back to normal? I did not know things were not normal. But then again I am even oblivious to that in my own house, as I see Pete write that kind of thing now and then to some one on his pc - and leaves me wondering what the heck he is talking about. hehehe

Reggie I was explaining that very thing to Zach that the exchange says the sim or whatever you upload contains things from packs you didn't use and Aminovas said she has the same problem as have others. I think when they redid the exchange that this glitch has showed up. When I create sims for Al Medina, I have to be very careful not to use store, sp or items from eps that he is not using, SN, Seasons and Uni for example. Just about everytime it will say I have used something from one of those things and I know that I haven't. It is really tricky too because I have all the eps and sps except for the Katy Pary one. This problem just drives me crazy. So don't feel badly it is not you.
Jenny hang in there they may not come up with precisely what it is you have, because just about everything has variations. Migraine varient sounds plausable. I just hope they can find a treatment to help you feel better. Even stress can bring on a seizure. It happened to me once years ago. I lost my drivers license for a year until I didn't have another one and all those tests showed I didn't have a neurological problem. It was just stress from years of dealing with my crazy ex and putting myself through college getting my RN and raising 5 kids. Oh and meeting my hubby who has stuck with me all these years. Yum cake happy belated birthday.
Well I will be busy creating 5 more families for Al Medina this weekend.

Aargh. Totally freaking out here. fed Ex didn't deliver my Island Paradise disc until 7:30 tonight. I am installing and look for the serial number but there is NO freaking serial number anywhere on the disc, or on the manual or anywhere in the packaging. :shock: :?: what is going on?
Customer service chat came through for me. I had to print out the email receipt, sign and date it and send it as an attachment to their case log input window. My husband actually handled that for me. Anyway with a receipt I got the serial number from customer service chat.
When I bought my laptop last Thanksgiving I didn't have most of my disks with me because I was at my parent's house. So I looked up how to find them in my old laptop's registry so that I could write them down and download them to my new laptop with Origin.
Of course now I need to uninstall the base game and reinstall off of my disk since I can't run the game using the exe command (without the disk inserted, I mean). Origin has a different version of the Base Game that makes Origin required to play the game. :evil:
Tangie, I got tired of having to have my disc in to play and registered all of mine on Origin so I could download and play w/o the disc ... and I do not have to be logged in to Origin to play, so I do not mind having Origin on my computer ... I never log into it unless I am shopping for a new game or re-installing

Keep in mind that my laptop has funky Windows 8 on it and I have trouble even getting my CD drive to work (I don't think it's the drive). So I don't want to use a disk at all. And I don't want to use Origin. So that's all I can say about that.

Hi TammyJo. Picture B lets us see that there are buildings, so the world looks complete. Good focal point like DM said. Picture A also shows lots of features because its wide angle but unfortunately the details look tiny and less intimate and inviting perhaps. The latter pictures give good color, "mood" and are attractive but zoom in maybe too much so we lose some of the buildings and get a false sense the world is more empty than it really is. B is a good compromise between the lovely color and close views of the latter photos and the wide angle shot of A that hints at many details but does not bring us close enough to appreciate them. So...basically I'm saying the same thing as DM but less efficiently! :P
