cancelled for now as life has decided to take a little turn, I am very sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused some of you. I would love to pick this up again, but don't see it happening for a few months at least.
Island Paradise is a beautiful world. But it is lacking something. A Beach Resort! Well, in all fairness there is "Hobart's Hideaway" But that place is a shipwreck! It is rundown and no proper vacationer would want to go there. What we need is a real beach resort, Somewhere fun, and fresh. A place our sims would be proud to own, and vacation there. One problem, Our Sim's starting out can't afford to just buy any resort they want. They have a budget, So the only resort that they can afford is Hobart's Hideaway. How then are they supposed to turn that place into a proper beach resort? With your help that is how!
Your sims have purchased Hobart's Hideaway, and demolished everything. They have been left with $70,000 to rebuild. What you must do, is build a proper beach resort that includes:
Check-in area (should have a desk, some seating, and a bathroom)
Dinning area can be inside or outside. (should have tables and chairs, and atleast two buffet tables)
out door entertainment (should include many different out door activities)
a lounge (some indoor fun objects incase of bad weather)
atleast two VIP rooms (must include a double bed, bathroom, end tables, tv, and lighting)
at least four standard rooms (must be the beach ones.)
Landscaping. (make the resort look pretty)
You may choose to add more if you like. You can add a casino, or gym, or spa... whatever your heart desires. But it must cost less than $70,000, It must be built on the same lot as Hobart's Hideaway, and it must be a beach resort.
Please note, You don't have to own IP to participate in this contest. If you don't have IP, please just place a 64x64 lot on the beach in Sunset Valley **that way you are working on a slope** Also, the beach resort towers are 4x9 for the small ones. and 13x8 for the bigger ones. I suggest outlining with a fence where they would be. Also you can use things to replace the resort items. Use a buffet table to replace the IP one, use "the marathon carpet runner" rug to replace the fire walk pit. Use a playground slide to replace the water slide. Put a bar, with barstools next to the pool to replace the poolbar. And put a fountain next to the pool to replace the waterfall.
Contest will end at 11:59PM pacific time on Saturday July 20th.

1.This should go without saying, Your creation that you turn in must be your own. Should I find out that you have plagiarized someone elses hard work you will be disqualified, and kicked out of the contest.
2.No being rude, mean ect. name calling, and dirt flinging do not belong here, and wont be tolerated. Those who break this rule will be disqualified no questions asked.
3.Absolutely NO CC, or CAP patterns please.
4.When posting pictures of your lot, please limit it to FIVE (5) so we don't break the thread. If you have additional pictures feel free to post a link to a slideshow, or site you have them hosted on.
5.your resort must cost $70,000 or under.
6.It must be built on a sloped beach. To do that place a 64x64 lot on the beach in Sunset Valley if you don't have IP.

Could you replace any objects from the EP with ones from the base game and upload the resort to the exchange? And then just tell them what size space needs to be left for the towers (or to build a box the same size to stand in for them)?

Oh totally understand about not having time to do it tonight. I just don't want people who haven't been lucky enough to get Island Paradise yet to be left out.
