I'm especially proud of the fingers. Fingers are a pain. He was smirking more in blender, but I don't know why it didn't translate in-game. Oh well. Good enough.
On the topics of firsts, I made my first mesh for in game. It's a decorative object, but I literally spent almost six hours recreating my favorite coffee mug.

I have a bunch of unfinished ones sitting in a folder that I've been lazy with. Quite a few have made it into game and I've just either been greedy with it and kept it for myself, or too lazy to fix the problems they have! But here's a few from my folder-
Vana, I absolutely love the mug! Love the vintage pics on it.
And I'm loving that pose Tay! Awesome tops too!
I'm trying to make a pose pack while practicing. I was a dum dum yesterday and didn't save the actual clip of my original pose in blender, so I might do it over again.
You are all soo talented! I wanted to start making CC but haven't had the time to learn.
Your first pose is great, Vid! Can't wait to see the pack.
Love the mug, Vana. It's so cute and quirky.
I love all those outfits, too, Tay. You are seriously talented! I bet they were really difficult.
I'm especially interested in creating my own skins at the moment, but haven't had a chance to sit down and go through tutorials. Any helpful links would be much appreciated! I know some of you have sent me some in the past, which I have saved ready to be read over Christmas.
Thanks you three! Clothes meshing is a big pain in the a!
Joe, I can't think of any tutorials right now, but a lot of my skins are customized and pieced together! So if you have any questions you can shoot them at me!
Looking good, Vid! If I can give you a bit of advice, when you're in your animation program, especially if you use Blender, change the viewpoint. Like view him from the front, from side, from the other side, and change it up a lot when you're posing. Joints will rotate kinda relative to the view you're seeing the model at! Took me forever to figure that out. But it helps prevent the borked joints. Yours's arm is a tad borked but not bad at all. Just a teensy bit.
You did fantastic with the wrist. It's not borked at all.

Yeah I noticed the arm issue. I was hoping it wasn't super noticeable. I have trouble moving the camera around, but I'll try to fix it. Didn't know that would make a difference, so thanks so much for tip.
This is my tutorial on shading and highlighting darker skinned toned Sims in GIMP. It can work for any skin tone, but I highlight specific techniques I used for black skin.
I've since added better default skins for my Sims. This tut is a couple of years ago.
I haven't been in this thread in ages.
These aren't comp pics or anything, but pictures from my story of Reagan modeling. She's a supermodel, but now she's retired.
I'm so jealous of your meshing skills @Vanadis I've tried so many times to mesh objects but havent ever succeeded ;-; I can mesh clothes and make poses though so since we're showing our works:

I started making my own clothing meshes and my first couple pose was released last week
So after 4 hours of fighting with TSRW (and at one point my mug's shadow having the shape of a TREE?) It is in game. Phew!
Now I know what not to do, haha!
I'm so happy!

If I see a skin tutorial that even I can understand, I'll pass it along.
I did find my clip thingy for my original pose, so I improved it.
The 2nd pose is kicking my butt and I think it's been done, so I might do something else.
