Sul, Sul!

There is a 4-5 year cycle that EA has to follow for The Sims series. The Sims 5 will be announced in between September of 2016 and August of 2018. If it is announced between September 2016-August 2017, that means The Sims 4 is lasting for 4 years. If The Sims 5 is announced between September 2017-August 2018, that means that The Sims 4 is lasting for 5 years.

Deag Deag Corey, Deag Deag. :?

No, but all 'Simlish' aside. I think it is a little too early for speculation on TS5, I kind of think that TS4 may be it for The Sims Series. Then maybe after a hiatus for about a decade or so they'll return with a reboot just called 'The Sims' or something.

While there is no way of knowing who owns them or if they'll even be used.....but if you go to a site where you can check for and register a domain name Sims5,6 and 7 are already taken.

Why are you bothering about The Sims 5, while The Sims 4 is still in early development?

All though some Fan-Sites could of taken those names, that is very interesting. Thanks for the awesome information Phoebe! :3

Actually, I would assume the game is almost done, they are probably just testing it and such now. It is supposed to be released early (some say March) 2014.

I doubt there will be a sims 5, but who knows. I said that about sims 4.

If The Sims 4 is successful and they decide to continue on with The Sims series... I have a feeling that The Sims 5 will most likely be announced sometime in 2019 for a 2020 release date. :D

As long as the series is making money, it will never end. There is no other game like The Sims. Like someone else said, EA already registered domain names for S5 - S7 since S3 was announced.

Wow! Its crazy to start thinking about sims 5! Im still in shock that theres already a sims 4! It feels like just yesterday i was buying the sims 3!
& i have to disagree with some people.. I dont think they'll stop making the sims after the sims 4. I think that as long as the sims is still going strong they will continue the series!
& im guessing they will make an announcement sometime in 2019 for a release in 2020 :D I cant even imagine how amazing TS5 will be!!

Oh just for giggles. Let's see if there's a 5 it would, if it falls according to previous releases, be released in 2019. So likely an announcement in 2018. I'll go with May or June 2018, so let's just say June if I have to pick one.

Mind you, only doing this for the heck of it. Why not.
It's kind of sad that I have to point out that anything I say is only just my opinion and may be a different one from someone else.

No one care about TS5 right now! We don't even know if we'll even get it.

*runs back to the corner to think about TS4*

I don't know that there will be a sims 5. I really think it depends on how well the sims 4 does. EA/maxis are seriously on the verge of either loosing a lot of simmers or keeping a lot of simmers. It all depends on how well they listened to the players and how much creativity and originality they put into the sims 4. If they do go with the sims 5 then I say either 2018 or 2019, given their typical 4-5 cycle between sims games. The actual month they release it will depend on when they end up releasing sims 4 and how well it goes.

There will be no Sims 5.

In 2015, the Large Hadron Collider will create a Chemtrail that will infect everybody with the Gay Agenda and then everyone will die.

I just don't think there is going to be enough time.
Hi. I'm Danger. I like spaceships, Pringles, and cats. I dislike fruits and vegetables, sunlight, and the motion picture Titanic. I do not own a sword, nor do I know how to draw unicorns. As you can see, I don't have much to offer the world.

This is too early! We've just been told The Sims 4 is comming out, why would we need a Pre-Quil announcement ontop of another Pre-Quil announcement!

Huuummm My thoughts on this**** :? (this is what I look like when I have to think hard!)
Ok I think you should focus on sims 4 and get that when it comes out, play it enjoy it and don't think about sims 5 ... Why do I say this??...well because by time 2020 rolls around (and yes that is my guess) the world my have come to an end by then, and sims will matter no more. :(

If they mess up The Sims 4 like they did TS3, there won't be a 5.

For many of us simmers this is the last chance we're giving them. They've already messed up if they give up sims with that horrible block hair like in the 'preview', as most simmers wanted them to look at least as good as the Sims Medieval sims.

So the gameplay has a lot to make up for if those are the actual graphics.

Sometimes I wish another company would make a life simulator game to give the sims competition. Maybe then they'd be sure to give us what the fans want. Hmm.

    Edit: typos.

To be honest though, they'll probably start working on Sims 5 in late 2014-early 2015*. So it's not crazy to think about it and make suggestions to it, because otherwise, if you suggest things when it's announced, then it will be way too late into development to add anything new.

    *assuming they make TS5.

    BACK ON TOPIC:
    2019 announce for a 2020 release. :)
