Hello and welcome to my Extended Family Story (A Storytelling Contest).

I have created a very complex world for my Sims in my Legacy Story:
A Torres Legacy

As my family continues to grow and expand, I realize I can’t keep up with the Extended family and what they decide to do with their lives. So, I’m asking for your help!

I need you to fill in the blanks. What comes next in the lives of these Sims I’ve created?

Rules and Guidelines:
This is a CAS and storytelling Contest. You have to find or create a Spouse for the Sim you choose and tell me what happens to them. Sounds simple, right?

The Breakdown:

There are a few difficulty levels, depending on how complex you want your story to be. You can:

a. Choose a Sim, pair them up with another Sim and tell me their story. b. Choose a family, and tell me the story of their lives and that of their child(ren) c. Group yourself into teams and choose several Sims and tell their story.

Not so simple, is it? To make it even more complicated, there are some Sims that require more than one generation!
There are a little over 50 Sims, so everyone should have several choices to choose from. Once a Sim or family is picked, no one else can have them.

It is super important that you make sure your story matches up with my legacy. Do not create new siblings or parents for the Sim you download! You may ONLY create a new Spouse/Partner for the Sim you download. (This does not pertain to any children the couple may have. Only the Sim or family you download.)

You must upload each Sim in your story separately! You can use one form, but each Sim MUST have it's own downlink link!
You may NOT upload a Sim that someone else created, including mine - even if they are part of your story!

Please link to your story, do not place it in this thread, as I do not want it to break due to too many images.

TL;DR? Basically, I want you to write me a story! You can choose any Sim or family and you can do it alone or in groups!

Just a quick note: I'm not looking for a 20 page story. It can be short and sweet, it can all be pictures, all text. Whatever works for you!

I just love reading Sim stories so much that I thought this would be a fun way to bring my two loves together!

The guidelines make it seem harder than it actually is. Pick a Sim or family, and write a short story. That's all!

Please ask any and every question you want, but also know I'm not here to tell you how to write your story. That's entirely up to you. I'll just give background information and clear up any concerns you may have!

I also tried to make sure that all couples were made and not originally townies (although once I left them alone... ), so there should be no conflict within families if you would rather marry them to someone already made.

Also, not all these Sims need to have children. They can die childless...

1. Do I have to read your whole legacy to understand what's going on?

You don't have to read my legacy at all! There is only a couple of Sims that need special instructions and I'll do that if people choose them. I just want a story!

2. When judging the story part how will grammatical errors (or use of wrong words/repeating words/using the same structure for sentences and so on) effect it?

As long as you tried to do some proofreading, you should be fine! I'm looking for creativity and entertainment, not perfect writing.

3. Can I use CC and pose player?

No to CC or CAP (Recolors are nice though!) and Yes to pose player.

I do not use CC and it is highly likely that I will download your Sims to put in my game. As pose player will only affect your pictures, feel free to use it all you want.

I'm interested in participating, but I have to admit that I find it a little confusing. :?
I looked through the families on the exchange and I had a look at the hugh family tree.

My preference would be to play with a family and tell their story, but I'm afraid I will do it all wrong. :oops: Just from looking at the families the "Fetherstonhaugh-Munoz" family looks likeable to me.

Do I have to read your whole legacy to understand what's going on? (To me English is a foreign langauge so I'm afraid that I won't understand everything.)

Be careful with this family. Sam Munoz and Jacqueline Fluet are the parents of Martine Munoz (teen pregnancy is on the rise in my world!)

I would like to do a family story - can I do that by myself or do I need to be in a team? I guess I could also do a single sim story (are the ones with the black dot in front of them in the "family" post also eligible for that?)

Oh I do love the contests, but too much, I think. So I vowed no more and I must keep my vow. I can technically do an entry and have it not count, like I did for the poetry thread a few times (cause not entering, and doing it just for fun, is stretching the boundaries.)

I just wanted to stop in to say WOW! Blyth your legacy is amazing and your family tree is beautiful. I'd hate to commit to this and not give it the full attention it deserves so I'm gonna mark myself down as a maybe. But this concept is brilliant. :thumbup:

You don't have to be in a team, you can do it by yourself! I just marked those for people who did wish to be in teams.

Every single Sim or family is open to everyone. Choose one, or choose a family of four. It's up to you!
