So I missed the greenhouse because they removed it from the previous rotation. Now they put it in a new one, as the first item. That means it doesn't matter how long I wait, I won't know when it's back up unless I check the DD after every new deal has started. And, if they remove it from the third rotation, as last time, I'll miss it altogether. Again. Not very impressed Sims Team.
Hi ok rechecked the tables, there's no end date given - I have a theory. I haven't downloaded many free items, but now when I went to download the freebie fireplace I saw two others fireplaces on sale - once I downloaded the fireplace, another came on sale.. so 3 on sale. :? (I can also see discounts on other furniture too like some edwardian ktichen shelf cabnit i think might of been free a few months ago)
I think the store may offer old free items on sale if you didn't claim it when it was free. Just a theory... otherwise no idea... maybe it's completely random
A-ha! I think I understand. Forgive me if I'm wrong but I think you haven't realised quite how the in-game store works ...
By default the item panel will show up to three items that you do not already own that you can buy in-game. Yes, they are 'for sale' but they are not 'on sale'.
Only items with the little red flag are actually 'on sale' for a discounted price.
So, if you look at the rodeo decor item:
Notice the red 'Sale' icon in the top right of the object's picture - that indicates a discounted price.
Now, if you click the little Simoleon button icon (§) on the far right of that panel it will turn from blue to gold and will show you all the items in store that you don't own (in fact I think it only shows Store items). Use this 'Store' icon to see all the items (and sets) that are on sale in each category.
LOLOL Okay I just now noticed that Ajax has started this thread! Anyway, a big thank you to Ajax, but also to BecomingJenn, who so kindly held my hand as I whined my way through the Store!! Thank you both for all that you do!!

I so much agree with you! I have kept an almost constant vigil and still keep missing
out!
The birdbath was sooo close to selling out, 97% when it ended!
And bah, Provence? We've seen that set waaaaay too many times recently. It's still even up on the Sale! page, although there it's only 30% off instead of the 50% in the DD.
A lot of these DD sale %s are a lot higher than last time, or at least feel that way too me. Maybe it's just because the Greenhouse was so much cheaper, and that was the first in the rotation. I don't think we saw many 50% and up before though.

Sorry ... may be my fault. I really like the look of the Provence set but I never manage to convince myself to actually buy it, even at 50% off ... I reckon they are having fun constantly teasing me with it!
And, yes, we do seem to be getting better discounts at the moment on this rotation ... maybe to prepare us for the 75%+ discounts we'll see in the next supersale - which must be due soon, surely!
I agree that Provence is starting to outstay its welcome lol, but its a beautiful set and perfect for Monte Vista (ok its french, lets call it french italian lol).
For anyone that doesnt have it, well you should. Its lovely.

I've been eyeing the Provence set on the sale page for a while because I do like the look of it a lot, but I always thought it needs a discount of at least 50% for me to buy it now, because my wishlist is still soooo long and this set didn't have priority for me as it is relatively isolated for one type of room (i.e. the kitchen). So I grabbed it now because 50% was my limit
I'm hoping the next 50-60 items sell out very quickly so we can get to the greenhouse already! By the way, does anyone know when they will start a new rotation list? I just found out that people are keeping track of the DD lists so I know very little about how the rotation stuff works.

It's pretty much totally random. The last one ended I think around day 20, the two or three before that ended in 30 days, the ones beyond that only lasts 12-15 days. I think there was even a holiday sale that only lasts one week. You're probably going to see it for at least 10 days at this point, so you're likely to see at least one full rotation, but no promises.
Waiting and hoping for Al fresco street market....missed it last time.
<<sigh>> Sometimes I wish I were not so cheap. I have the points, but I can't bring myself to pay full price. Not sure if its a pride thing or some weird sense of justice, (why should we pay full price when it goes on sale??), or what but if I were a sim I'd definitely have the frugal trait!!!

Oh  thanks for the info, I didn't know that, sorry for the confusion!
Malleable Mimic Voodoo Doll 300 normally 600 points 50% off, duration is an hour. Teasing me with just that, I wanted the whole set, missed it last rotation set lol.

No worries at all. Sims 3 is a huge game and there are many, many, little features that are so easily missed.
And that's what we here for; to help each other out.
I'm only missing the book of spells too, so that would be nice. And I also can't pay full price. I mean, $19 bucks each for the new venues??? Come on! That's half an expansion pack. I want them, but not for that much!
Comments
LOL! And so many quick sales, it's hard to keep up with them all!

(The irony is that I love this set too, and got tired of waiting for it to go on sale when it first came out so just bought it at full price. Ha!)

And I didn't even notice that Provence was a 2-hour sale. I believe that's the first one in the rotation that's been more than a hour.
